For most of the show, I found Fluttershy's "conflict" fairly one-dimensional and regressive (she literally takes assertiveness training in one episode: guess it didn't work). I think how she's written has improved a lot though. I might begrudgingly agree with you, except I really enjoyed the last two Applejack episodes which had some depth. -
