  1. has anyone read Memory Pending and is a fan of it?

  2. It's great, the line art is really really clean. I can't wait to see a vector! Spike wouldn't be too happy though I've always wanted to draw a shipping picture of my OC with Fluttershy but have hesitated cuz I got the impression shipping mane 6 chars with OCs was frowned upon Also, I'm sure I'd incur the wrath of other Fluttershy lovers heh
  3. yayyy AQIS passed my kit bag! finally a burden off my bacj.

  4. i'm back, for a short while. then i'll be away until the 31st :(

  5. going back to camp tonight, see y'all guys on wednesday morning! :3

  6. haha yes! this piece had a lot of "firsts" for me, it's the first time I've attempted to draw ponies *attempting* to sit on a chair of some sort and I don't think I pulled it off very well. It's also the first time I've attempted to draw an object without actually seeing it before IRL. I have no idea how the rear of the AA gun is supposed to look like since the photo reference I had didn't show it so I was hoping Cherry Berry and AJ would cover it up enough such that I wouldn't need to draw the details in. But it's still rather obvious though :x Also I'm aware there's some layering issues with Berry Punch's mane overlapping the sight for the AA gun. But oh well, having you post on my art thread is a great honour for me! Your work and Honey Puff's among a few others have been an inspiration for me
  7. This week I decided to rush out a work in progress since it so happened to coincide with the badass Applejack tank drawing I posted last week There's supposed to be a little story behind it and I intend to use this in a comic I have in mind, but that'll probably take some time since I'm being deployed to Australia next week for a training exercise. Having only two days a week to work on stuff sucks. Boo My OC's taking a break from helping AJ out with her weapon systems, but Berry Punch and Cherry Berry came to help insetad So yeah, it's a little rough quite rough on the edges but I tried to spruce it up as quickly as possible to be presentable. The backdrop is from matty4z's dA.
  8. Thanks! Haha I based it off a Leopard 2 A4 but shrunk it a bit so it would be more compact This is the picture I used as reference :3 I like German engineering
  9. Ooh thanks for all the brohoofs! You guys are awesome, really I had almost forgotten about this thread " I'll be tweaking this tank when I have the time to fix some proportion issues that I noticed during the week
  10. "welcome princess celest"

  11. that's cool, are you japanese by any chance? i knew there were differences between stuff like speakers of kansai dialect and the standard language, but i'd never imagine the syntax to be so different as to impede communication
  12. can someone tell me what's the main difference between illustrator and paint tool sai?

  13. i suck at drawing.

  14. b-b-b-b-b-add s-s-selection xD

  15. well it really depends on what branch of service, i think most if not all armies practice some form of streaming with regards to manpower allocation between formations. some jobs (like artillery and signals) naturally require soldiers who are more educated/tech-savvy. it might be true that some types of soldiers aren't really the internet savvy type but i would try to avoid the stereotype
  16. Well don't let something like flat feet stop you! If you're really interested in joining the military there're lots of vocations that don't require pure physical abilities. Administrative work is just as important as any work done by the guys with their boots on the ground (or in your case, in the air ). I'm a signaller by training but from where I come from, signallers tend to do quite a bit of admin work during non-operational periods so I've been able to relate to the clerks, I/Cs, admin NCOs, etc in the various HQs and over my two years, I've come to hold a deep respect for some of the really hardworking ones. (y)
  17. Well I've been on the forums for a few months now, mostly being active on the weekends only due to being in camp during the week. As I approach the end of my obligatory two-year service in the army, I'm just curious to find out if there're any military bronies (past/present/future/reservist) around on the forums
  18. yay back from camp.. wonder what i should draw this weekend :3

  19. charging for a fanfic? now that's an interesting concept.. well the picture is really not bad but i don't think its at the 5-6 dollar level yet, probably 3-4 dollars, 5 at most.
  20. Haha truth be told, I did start off with a 'box on tracks' at first, but then added in the extra lines afterwards and erased the box at the end
  21. I decided to go a little crazy this weekend by attempting a really complicated object and damn did I regret it. Trying to draw real-world objects was immensely difficult for me and I ended up fudging most of the small details and removing them completely for the sake of time, hopefully it still looks like a decent tank . Anyway, here's Applejack with her tank and my OC driving
  22. potato chips are evil little things.. but oh so tasty.. D:

  23. real world objects are extremely difficult to draw :(

  24. I am fluent in English, and am averagely proficient in Chinese. I currently have a very half-baked knowledge of Japanese (unable to sustain conversation) and wish to learn it fully.
  25. yay thank you :3 i'd post more frequently if i had the time (i draw really slowly cuz i keep needing to look at references) but until then every weekend or so is the best i can do
