As the janitor for Octavia's Hall, I look forward to seeing your work there, you're good.

These are amazing! I never knew you had a hand for sculpting I can't wait to see the rest of the mane six! What are they made out of, Plasticine? Clay?

I'm liking this art style.
I'm not sure if it's intentional, or accidental, but it turned out really nice. What you've gone with is a more slender, attractive look for the ponies compared to the more chunky style of the show, where the characters tend to have more 'meat' on them.
I hope you keep drawing, I can't wait to see your next piece! :3
Edit: That was a few days well spent, my friend

What's your opinion on Grunge and Fluttershy?
Mehhh I''ve never really been one for Grunge. I guess I'm indifferent to it
Fluttershy is one my favourite M6 chars. If I had to pick a 'best pony' it'd probably be a three-way tie between her, TS and AJ
Will you marry me?
Well.... maybe..
Yes.

OKAY. akita-ken always gets "Who's an akita-ken? Wazzat, never heard of, kthxbai" responses around the forum, and that's because he's
rarely let out of Vexx's shedrarely ventures out of Octavia's Hall.SO. For make benefit public awareness of "that other random nightshift mod who lurks Octavia's Hall", this is my great idea. An ask thread. (Really, akita, was that the best you could come up with? )

Yay Zebra OC, I like zebra OCs. The first request I ever did for someone was of a zebra OC :3
This appears to be a completed work of art that you are seeking critique on, and will therefore be moved to Fan Art. The Creative Resources board is for stuff like requests, asking for help, and the like.

The only reason I installed Reason was to flip the modules around and play with the wires with the realistic physics on the back

Okay proper PSD this time So it should open fine, but then again, PSD format means it'll just be a super-high res bitmap rather than a true vector file. That said I'm sure 1250x1935 is more than enough for a cutie mark
I thank you very much though for doing this for me! And as soon as I get the file, I will be sure to draw the thing of your choice that you desire.
But you haven't even seen it yet! It might suck! And you might not want to use it!

Here you go, Princess
I'm not too good at doing carbon-copies but I gave it a shot nevertheless. Forums don't allow AI/SVG files to be attached, though, so uh.. change the file extension from PSD to AI when you grab it I do hope you have Illustrator though

I see enough of it written on the forums, but I have one problem and that is I don't even know what they are and what they fo . Also are going on about vector programmes which are alien to me as well. If anypony could give me some insight on what a vector is I would be a grateful pony!
Hello Toastie!
I happen to have typed a brief summary on the differences between vector and raster a month or so ago on one of my art threads. Allow me to point you to it: http://mlpforums.com/topic/46498-just-an-oc/?p=1099592
Feel free to drop me a PM if you've any questions, I'll be more than happy to answer them.

Thanks, it means alot to hear from an artist I respect alot .
I'm gonna be honest but I never have done sketching, I feel like I should though, but its kinda something thats always been somewhat confusing. Its just a bunch of basic shapes put on low opacity? And then you draw the actual pony over it? I don't really know exactly the benefits of it still either, i know its suppose to help, but I don't really understand why. Not even totally sure what I should be doing with it.
Its something I should probably try atleast once I imagine, I just don't quite understand its purpose totally or the concept in general partly.
I understand the shading kinda. Its just a layer on top of the rest of the drawing filled with light blue low opacity basically? I always thought shading involved more use of darker colors in certain places and maybe even the burn or dodge tools(Not sure if thats in SAI). I tried it on a drawing I had and it does kinda have a darkening effect to it. Not sure if its just me but it does kinda have a bit of a more noticeable Light blue tint and not as much of a dark and light affect that your drawing has.
I do assume SAI works sorta like GIMP more or less, probably some differences but still.
Sorry for bothering you with somewhat vague questions, I'm still not the most knowledgeable artist ever .
Thank you for the resource and tips, aswell as the compliments btw .
Wowww Zygen, your art always puts a smile on my face
Well, drawing circles and all that and putting them on low opacity and what not so you can draw over them are just basically techniques for helping you keep the basic shape of the pony in mind and so that your lines don't stray too far. Some people find it helpful while others don't really rely on it, but it's generally a good idea to try it out and see if it works for you. I started relatively similar to the way that Drahgoon has suggested (drawing guide circles and guide lines and all that). Eventually as I continued to practice I could use less and less guides until right now the only circle left that I use is for the head. Yeah, I start any pony drawing that I do with a circle for the head. I find it helps my mind 'get started' so to speak, in visualizing the eventual shape of the pony.
I hope you find what works for you Have you ever thought about trying to vector?

Hi Goldymarg,
The "Pony Art" board and it's subforums for Fan Art, Fan Music, Fan Fiction and Other Fan Works are all avenues for you to show off and get critique on creative works that you have created. Your topic has been moved to the Fan Fiction board.

in Forum Lounge
This topic contains very little in the way of content and has spawned a reply thread that is not suited for Octavia's Hall. While some art has been posted by the TS, it appears that the main purpose is not for feedback but rather as part of an illustration. As such, this thread will be moved the Forum Lounge.
