hah, i guess i was just lucky as hell, considering that the Marine's Hymn was like, my first PMV attempt AT all. There doesn't seem to be anything consistent in how they choose PMVs for their site.

When i first saw all the pony avatars and PMVs, i had a "EEeeeCCH" moment, because it is a girly show and i'm wondering how the hell grown-ass men are watching this. So i watch the first few episodes, and whatta know, BAM! brony. and making PMVs of all things on my channel which was mostly weird Just Cause 2 videos.

yea, they did feature my Marine's Hymn PMV, and so i thought i figured, OOooh, here's my kick-ass SSBB PMV as well, send it to them. Alas, no response for like, 5 days. it's weird. They probably get SO many emails it's hard to pick the diamonds among the turds, so to speak. *shrugs*

what i've noticed is that, they obviously don't pick crappy ones, that's for sure. Is there like, some sort of magical rules to follow to get on there? Or is it just luck of the draw, just happenstance?

finally, the SSBB pmv is done, jesus it was a pain in the neck making it. hope you enjoy it. it's like, over 9000!!! in the epic department. (There is another thread made by me back when it was unfinished, can both be merged?) SMASH BUMP!

im having trouble looking for a Celestia lips that looks like it's doing a "Leeeee-POoooold" part of the lyrics.... i Got the LEEEE part, but the POOOOLLLD part is hard to fine, think of like, a pout lip, for 1.3 seconds, yea, lips on Celestia are REALLY hard to find for the few girl voices compared to Luna's. Nevermind, i'm trying not to do the same thing i did for Marine's Hymn, which was like, a shot every 0.5 second. the SSBB theme is a different beast and thus needs a different way to do so.

this is what i posted on ponygoons, but here's what i think: Fair enough, i did like the scene where Celestia first appears in my PMV and it was all peaceful, there was a woman's voice, but that fits with the dreamy state, before Luna wakes up and begins screaming (to go along with the SSBB track.) True, the problem with my Marine Hymn PMV was that it was all 100% lip sync, and for some people it looked too chaotic. Oh, and my concept of the PMV overall was the nature of both Luna and Celestia, or something like that. their tortured relationship or something... which is why Luna is the mad one (with the dude voice) and celestia being the kind one with the serene parts of the SSBB theme music itself. if you listen to the SSBB theme itself, What ideas you get from it? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xbnRuq7rII So, any ideas if it should be 100% lip synced or no?

alright, i think the part between 0:30 and 0:35 doesn't need syncing, but everything else will, if i can get it to work. Basically, if its a dude voice, Luna, and woman voice, Celestia.

i thought so, i need Celestia lips for the girl voice, or do i have to lip sync the part between 0:30 and 0:35? cause i think that was like a peaceful scene, maybe that part doesn't need lip syncing, would somewhat mess up the pace, so to speak. BTW which episode has crapload of Celestia?

tell me about it, MLP is in the same category as porno, like as if someone walks in, i switch like mad on Mac by doing a fancy gesture to move the screen over. Either that or slamming the laptop shut. About Facebook: Another thing is that i post on Real Men watch My Little Pony, but everytime i do i have to race fast as hell to profile and wipe off the MLP post off of my profile. Facebook blows at privacy, can't they let you post something in quiet peace?

You need Sony Vegas Movie 11 badly... seriously, Sony Vegas is so much more suited to syncing lips and everything than Window movie maker will ever do. IF you have $50 handy, that is.

Dunno what my next project will be, PMVs takes a while to do. Rome wasn't built in a day you know, and i'm debating on maybe doing the SSBB theme. Now that's going to be tough, but all Mane Six can sync to that one, whereas only rainbow dash was doing the Hymn because of her Salute meme thing.

So, any expert PMV maker care to explain what can be better? i mean, i just started this, but i like to know some golden rules or something. Oh, and i used Sony Vega Movie 11 if that matters.

lol, i did essentially threw a bunch of clips together, i was mainly concerned with lip syncing, and that was only my second PMV made. First one was like, some Dante's Inferno PMV. it was weird.

Yea, i got into this whole MLP thing back in March, but thing is, i'm a closet brony... Sure i may watch this and all, but God forbid if my family catches me on this. You know. Anyway, i'm Bodi from LI of New York, if that counts. Yea, i game on PCs, and learning to make PMVs as well. Currently in RL im going for a Film/Video Major at Five Town College, so there's that.

Anyway, You've all seen Rainbow Dash in the patriotic salute with the Good Ol' USA flag behind her? I figured i take that idea and make her do the Marine's Hymn. OOOORAH!
