I don't think it's possible to delete your own characters, but thanks for letting us know. If something like this happens in the future with a character or a thread just click the report button, explain the situation and somebody'll come along and take care of it when the forum's relatively cooperative. I took care of your duplicate characters and you should only have one now

This isn't something that's ever going to happen. If anything, a forum should be encouraging activity and participation in discussions. Arbitrary restrictions on everybody's posting abilities and forcing them to be picky with what they reply to doesn't sound like anything but an overreaction to a minor problem, and a fast track to sucking liveliness and fun out of the community. So long as the vast majority of people here are contributing quality posts, it'd be uncalled for to impose restrictions like these.
 
This isn't saying that spammy replies and low quality posts aren't a problem, but people who are determined to spread them all over the place will always be dealt with on an individual basis. Doing otherwise would create much bigger problems than the ones this policy is meant to curb.

For reference, this is how big the text gets when you put a five for your size. Color is much more complicated, but I'd be happy to give you the codes for any specific colors you'd like. Just reply back and let me know
 
Also just noticed the bit about adding a signature. You're going to need to be using the full version of the site, if you aren't already. Then go to your profile settings, and select Signature.
 
 
 
 
Then you're going to want to paste the url of the image you want to use, and surround it with these brackets. . And that should work, I think.

As for getting a signature, if you don't already have something in mind that you'd like to put there, there're plenty of people in the Requests Guild who would be happy to make one for you . Just look through the threads tagged 'Request Shop' for people who make signatures, ask nicely and explain what you'd like and they'll probably get back to you when they can :. There're some really talented and generous people in there.

The Advanced Roleplays have a significantly higher character minimum, and therefore demand that people there set aside a little more time and effort to dedicate to roleplays in that section. That's the only real difference that I know of. People can place a roleplay in either section, and people of all abilities and experience levels post in either. Putting a roleplay in the Advanced section is just a way of asking for some more effort and commitment on the part of the participants.

You have to make at least five posts in order to be able to edit your signature. After that go to My Settings up here.

And that's how you do it. One thing though, linking to things you're trying to sell is against the rules here unless you've gotten permission from the site owner. You're probably going to want to send a message to Feld0, if you want to promote your store.

Looking at your posts, nothing seems out of place. Could you provide an example of what kind of topic you were trying to make and what thread it ended up inside? Unless a mod is merging your threads with other ones for being duplicates, nothing like that should be happening.

Anyway, if you want to use a signature, first you're going to have to get one. Once you do, you're going to want to upload your signature to an image hosting site like Photobucket.

If you're talking about another topic, there's a good chance that's what happened as well. I can't see that any of your posts have been removed. What was the missing topic about?

It's not an 800 word minimum actually, few people but a certain retired tech admin could deal with that . It's actually an 800 character minimum. Just clarifying, sorry.
 
As for your question, there isn't a way for members to alter the character minimum. However it seems that you've made your thread in the Advanced Roleplay's section. If it were in the section for normal roleplays, the character minimum would be only 200. Would you like to have it moved over there?

It's a section for members to play characters who are different than themselves, and create a story. It can be adventurous, romantic, most anything really. I'd recommend looking around at some threads in the section for examples.
 
 
 
 
I'd make an Original Character (a pony made by you), look around for roleplays that look interesting, and if one catches your eye, ask if you can be part of it in its OOC thread, which should be linked to in the first post of any roleplay. If the person running it is ok with you joining, then you're all ready to go

Some roleplays move faster than others. I can't really say, on average. Its just something you'll have to talk with the other people in your roleplay about.

Some changes were made to the way logins are conducted a few months ago, and a side effect of this was many members getting another welcoming message from Mailmare the first time they used the new login. Sometimes it happened more than once. I wouldn't worry about it, so long as it doesn't keep happening. It's a known problem.

If you're looking to discuss a character from MLP: FiM and how best to describe them, the Show Discussion section would be your best bet. The subject of the thread would be talking about the character and of course, how they act in the show, so it'd be best to put the thread in the place that deals with talking about the show.

If you make a support ticket, either through here or by emailing support@mlpforums.com, the staff will assist you in recovering your old account information so that you'll be able to use it. That'd be the best thing to do

Sky Chaser is correct. Changing usernames requires entering your password which currently automatically redirects you to the Poniverse page. The problem is there for everyone, and is being worked on by our more tech-savvy staff members. They'll bring it back as soon as they can and you'll be able to change your name just as before.
 

You'd be better off filing a support ticket here, and then someone will sort out the problem when they have time. The thread that you made did not belong in the Pony.fm forum

I don't see a problem with it so long as you keep it from getting gory, but given the subject I'll take a guess that that isn't something you want to do. It'd probably be best to find another site to carry out the roleplay on if you don't want to live by our rules on violence and gore, unfortunately I'm not aware of the best places to do so.

The OP of your thread was filled with filler text to bypass the character minimum. Posts that break the rules in some way here are hidden, and the entire thread is hidden if the OP is. Unfortunate, as it was a good subject of discussion and already had some good replies. Feel free to remake the thread and comply with the rules this time. Perhaps you could offer your own opinion on the matter if you can't come up with enough characters?

It appears that there were several topics related to pony dreams in the Sugarcube Corner, and that within the past several days they were merged. The new consolidated topic was then retitled to make the subject of the discussion more clear. Unfortunately, this retitle is why the link in the locked topic you found no longer works.
