@@MagicalStarRain, ((Dear God, im sorry for the long reply - been hectic around here today)) As Star spoke, he seemed to snap out of his thoughts and smiled at Star. "Of course" he nodded, not wanting to dwell on what had just happened. "Do you not like the dark?" He asked as he noticed the tone of her voice. He also noticed how red she was, and couldn't help but let out a small chuckle - "Shouldn't I be the one who is embarrassed?" he joked. - Something was wrong. He had warmed up to this mare far quicker than he had ever warmed up to anypony in the past, he felt unnaturally comfortable around her - and he didn't seem to even notice the flowers anymore, let alone the ponies around him.

@@MagicalStarRain, "I'm...not getting off with the greatest of first impressions am I?" - Dusk said nervously, trying to make light of the whole situation. When Star placed her hoof in his, he felt his heart skip a beat. His first reaction would normally be to pull away as soon as she touched him - but he knew that was the wrong reaction in this case, his hoof pulled the slightest twitch away at first, but then he relaxed, and placed his other hoof on top of Stars. The words echoed in his head over and over - *The plants are nervous, you just have to show them you're friendly - they're nervous...show them you're friendly...they're nervous...* While he mulled over these words in his head, he stared down contently at Stars hoof in his.

@@MagicalStarRain, Only slightly aware of his surroundings, he barely noticed Star lying next to him. It took a few minutes, but eventually Dusk seemed to be behaving almost rationally again now, the colours of his coat had returned to their normal dark blue/purple colour, and he was less shaky now. Given a few more minutes, he managed to raise his hooves from his head, and lift up from the dirt - somewhat awkwardly making his way into some form of sitting pose. It didn't look natural, and it wasn't particularly any more comfy than it looked, but he made do - still shaking. "S...star?" He said, almost in disbelief that she had come to comfort him. He never normally let other ponies see his emotions, being weak as he was - "I'm...i'm...i'm sorry you had to see that Star...I...I didn't -" he cut off, his voice now leaking telltale signs of holding back tears, but looking frustrated more than anything now, and dug his hooves into the ground firmly. "I'm so sorry..." He looked down and away from Star, and tears silently streamed down his face. "Thank-you...for not running..." was about all he managed to say. @@MagicalStarRain At first, hearing the hoofsteps running towards him caused Dusk to scramble back as best he could, but to almost no avail. He just lay there terrified and quaking. Upon hearing the now familiar voice however, he seemed to calm down a little - at least to the point where he stopped shivering. He was still whimpering a little, but not as much as he was. He attempted to bury his head a little more into his hooves, practically into the floor at this point. Despite Star Rains calming efforts, Dusk was still trying his best to hide in the darkness where he could - again, to no more avail than before.

@@MagicalStarRain, "I'm...just...dark...watched..." Dusk couldn't make any sort of eligible sense out of his own words, he was shivering now at the thought of being watched, and his flank started to ripple with different shades of the darker colour spectrum as he approached the darkness, black, purple, navy blue and all kinds of similar colours, until that part of his flank matched perfectly to the shadows behind him - he didn't get time to fully hide himself before he collapsed onto the floor, shaking and covering his head with his hooves and whimpering to himself.

@@MagicalStarRain, @@Descant, Dusk recoiled at the fact that he WAS being watched, and not just imagining it. He felt slightly uneasy all of a sudden, even more so than he was when he first entered. He backed up from where he was stood, desperately looking for a dark area - there where none close in sight, but there was one spot near the maze that looked...dark. He glared at the spot intensely over his shoulder for a few seconds...

@@Descant, @@MagicalStarRain, Dusk raised an eyebrow when Star tapped his hoof, then he noticed and immediately placed it to the floor again. "Oops, there I go again" he joked, "Of course, you told me you had already met" exclaiming with a facehoof. He then looked across at the flowers Star was interacting with, and became aware of the flowers from before - the ones that still seemed to be watching him. "Umm...what's with the flowers?" He spoke softly, to try and keep unnoticed "I know this place is magical and all, but I feel like i'm being watched - I dont...like...being watched..."

@@Descant,@@MagicalStarRain, ((OOC: Edit...tagging fail :3 ) "H-hello, my name is Creeping Dusk. I was just wondering if I might have the pleasure of meeting the wonderful hostess of this event?" As he spoke, he slowly offered his hoof out for a hoofshake, but as he did so he noticed Evergreens gaze shifting between himself and Star. It was then he looked back to the mare he had been socialising with - completely forgetting about his half extended hoof, leaving it suspended in the air. "Oh and of course this is St...well, I should let her introduce herself shouldn't I?" These words where accompanied by a look of question to Star, the kind of look that says - 'If that's okay with you?'

@@MagicalStarRain, @@Descant The redness in Dusks face began to fade, and he started slowly walking again. He looked around, and realised there where several flowers all with their heads pointed in his direction - he felt as though he was being watched, and that made him a little edgy. "Why would I ha- " Dusk stopped as he found himself eventually approaching Evergreen. He then turned his attention to her rather quickly - "Um, hello?" He spoke the words quietly, almost to himself.

@@MagicalStarRain, "N-no of course not! You-I-" He stopped and gathered himself - collecting his thoughts. Taking a deep breath, he continued..."Listen, Star, I know we've only just met, I didn't want to say anything to scare you off, it just kinda slipped out. But now that it has... *another deep breath*...you are indeed very pretty. Something like that is not something I would think about unless I meant it, there's only one way it would have slipped out, and that's if it was already on my mind" He then noticed the look of annoyance strong on her face, still glowing red he started up - "I understand if you're not happy with me right now...that was out of order and I apologise."

@@MagicalStarRain, "Not only pretty, but smart too" - Dusk instantly stopped and covered his mouth with his hoof as he realised he said that out loud. He was now glowing red, ears plastered to his head as he looked away - "I'm...sorry... that just...I meant..." He sighed heavily, then mumbled to himself - "Way to go Dusk...brilliant move there, she'll probably bolt now...can't blame her if she does"

@@MagicalStarRain, "Oh...of course, I forgot...horn...right" Dusk trailed off as he turned a flush red colour. He then chuckled a little at himself, not knowing what else to do. He then turned back around, and headed towards Evergreen once more, keeping his gaze fixed on Star Rain, intently listening for her to continue her story.

@@MagicalStarRain, ((OOC: Slightly edited my earlier post, you might want to just have a look quickly)) Dusk quickly turned back around and looked at Star Rain, "Aren't you coming?" He asked while beckoning her to follow him over to Evergreen. "Wait, you where fighting?" he stopped and looked her up and down with profound shock and confusion "you don't...look like a fighter" he said as he examined her wonderful dress. "Do go on..." his ears perked right up as he seemed to realise there was more to this mare than initially meets the eye - as if that wasn't already pleasing enough.

@@MagicalStarRain, @@Descant, "I'm alright" Dusk lied, trying to resume a normal tone. "I just didn't expect anypony to know anypony that's all" he smiled. "Darnit Dusk, stop being so nervous! So what if she's cute, just talk to her like you would anypony else...actually that's a terrible idea, just try and talk to her like normal ponies hold a conversation!" Dusks eyes darted occasionally as he ran these thoughts through his head. "So how do you two know each other?" He asked inquisitively as he looked around at the other guests socialising so easily around him - so why was he having so much trouble? He then looked over to where Evergreen was standing - "I'm sorry Star, i'll be right back, I really must introduce myself before too long passes" and with that, he hesitantly turned away, looking for Stars reaction, and then he began trotting over to Evergreen.

Dusks ears lowered a little at the prospect of being introduced to another pony so soon - but he had to be sociable - that's why he was here after all. "H-hello, G-goldseek" he stammered, looking nervously back and forth between the two ponies. "So...you two, um, know each other?" he said quietly, disappointment edging into his voice. ((OOC: I'm not too sure what to be saying here, Descant said he didn't want previous RP interactions being involved - but I dont want to be rude))

Haha, typical. Start an RP and the forums will be down - half way through the day too :3 And yeah Silver, we've already started Most ponies (and others) have arrived, I think.

@@MagicalStarRain, Dusk raised an eyebrow slightly, lowering his hoof as he saw the creature before him awake. He turned towards Star, and upon seeing the look on her face, opened his mouth as if to say something, and then closed it again without a word - instead letting his expressions do the talking. He gave a confused look, but there where signs of compassion and sorrow written all over it. He was confused, to say the least...one minute he was talking about the flowers that surrounded the garden, the next he was rushing over to a crumpled heap on the floor. Next thing he knows he's overhearing conversations about something he doesn't understand... "I...um...I don't..." he said with a concerned tone of voice, looking back and forth between the creature and Star "I'm sorry for rushing off like that Star, I couldn't just leave him like that"

@,@@MagicalStarRain, (never got your reply, sorry) Reassured by her words, Dusk smiled at star"Thanks" he began - "I should head over and meet her soon..." he trailed off as he spoke, turning his head to look towards the hostess, before seeing the collapsed giant on the ground - "Oh my!" he gasped - and with that he sped off in that direction - "Are you okay?!" he asked, offering out a hoof to the creature.

@@MagicalStarRain, "I've never seen anything like them" Dusk said, taking a step in their direction. "OH!" he quickly turned around to Star - "Have you met our hostess yet? I haven't had the time, i've been..." - he suddenly realised just how forward he was being, and quickly sank back in himself - not nervously, but more controlled than his previous outburst. "Ooops, haha, sorry, I tend to forget about my nerves when im interested with things"

Yeah so I just looked it up for some reason, and there's 5 hours time difference between UK and US. I'll be 5 hours ahead of you guys, so i'm gonna take a stab and say it's close to/gone midnight for most of you. (US is a big place...time differences vary from coast to coast, caus you're awkward like that that's why im saying most) Just so I know roughly what time most of you will be on, what time (your country of course)...well...will you be on? Edit: Nope, not getting rid of me that easily it seems I can't be leaving people waiting

I'm off for the night guys, it's 5:00am here and as I said I have a friend over, I would have posted OOC but my chat partner seems to have vanished... I'll be back on somewhere around 4:00pm tomorrow most likely (for me anyways - London,UK time, dont know the time difference between everyone here) but i'll get on when I can beforehand.

@@MagicalStarRain, Dusk chuckled a little "dont worry, i'm terrible with names myself." He said with a rather more confident tone now. He noticed Star beginning to blush a little, and he couldn't help but smile to himself. "The garden?" he quipped - clearly forgetting where he was - "Oh yes! The garden!" he shyed down again, realising how stupid he must have sounded. "It's um...it's very nice I must say..." he exclaimed as he looked around - his gaze stopping on some rather odd shaped leaves - "what do you suppose they are?" he asked, pointing a hoof over towards some rather large flowers by the lake. (I'll leave the plant description up to you if you like)
