When the doors opened, Dan watched as Genesis scrambled out of the door. "What's up with you huh?" He asked as he walked ou of the elevator, feeling a little better now that he was moving around. "You look like you've seen a ghost...or Justin Bieber in concert." Dan had to admit that the latter even gave him chills.

Amber slowly walked in, "C'est assez étrange" she walked past dan and said, "oh, I think she just has a very major case of Claustrophobia, it is a very common fright after all." Amber walked over to the monitors and walked up to Tempest. "Hello their mon ami, I am Amber what might your name be and what do we have here?

Tempest shrugged slightly, and nodded. 'It's a pleasure to meet you, Amber. You can just call me Tempest." He said. "As for all of this, I honestly have only the slightest idea. It looks like some sort of virtual world. The costumes and weapons are probably a sign that one can somehow access this world. I'll have to investigate a bit more, but I shouldn't have to much trouble. So, what brings you to this section of the factory?"

Rick was already starting to get tired of this group, first the girl who looked too young to even be a freshman sneaks up to scare him then dragged them all down in the elevator, then the drunk kid woke up wanting to throw punches, now what had to be another freshman acting like he owned the place. He couldn't decide about the tough looking chick, she had shoved him and started acting bossy but the fear she had shown in the elevator and her latching on to him had made him at least sympathize with her. If he hadn't had such bad cottonmouth he might have even said something.

 

But now he had enough, he was too mad at this new kid to stay silent. He stormed over to the computers, "Of course people followed you, you've started up god knows what in an abandoned factory! Are you trying to get everyone in the school arrested? We're turning all this off now and going back up.". He started searching for how to turn the massive computer system off, "do you have any idea how hard the school would crack down on parties and all students in general? It would be a disaster!"

Tempest glanced at Rick, and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Those kids upstairs shouldn't even be here anyway, and don't even get me started on the bloody obnoxious music." He said, his tone growing serious. "If they get arrested, it's their own fault. Besides, even if I knew how to shut this thing off, I wouldn't. I mean seriously, aren't you even the least bit curious about what this could mean. This is an entire virtual world that no one has even discovered. Who knows what it could contain. Right now, it hasn't hurt anything, so there's nothing to worry about."

Meghan frowned at the crowd taht seemed to have gathered in the room. Geting up and dusting herself off, she walked back up the stairs and tried to figure out where that whirring noise had come from because it definitely wasn't in there. Poking around for a bit, Meghan saw some hidden flights of stairs, tucked away in the corner.

 

Feeling slightly curious, she walked down them and found herself in a room where most of the space seemed taken up by one massive computer. Walking over to it, she started to inspect it and realised that the whirring noise ws definitely a lot louder here.

"Sounds like you're on some hard drugs, mate." Genesis breathed while bracing herself against a wall. The monitors though, looked good with Tempests case and the eye on the screen made her uneasy.

She smiled warmly and brought him downstairs in just enough time for the elevator to arrive and open on it's own for them. Whisper looked at Rush and found no harm in investigating. Once the elevator descended and the doors opened., Whisper blinked at the teens that seemed to be fighting each other.

As soon as they stepped out, the elevator doors slammed shut and the eye disappeared off the screen.

 

The terrible grinding of the blade couldn't be heard over the music. The foundation cracked, causing spiderwebs to spread along the ceiling. With a groan the beam snapped and the floor bowed in, causing debris to trickle down on the floor beneath. One floor above the party.

"Well I'm curious." Said Dan as he walked about the room. "Sounds to me like we just found a giant video game in the basement of an abandoned factory. All sketchiness aside, this could be fun." He then picked up a random piece of equipment, "Plus it looks like the NSA sneezed in here. This just screams secret government stuff to me."

He shook his "No, I'm not curious... Well right now I'm not curious, what if this activates other parts of the factory? You could put other students in danger, I'm not up for that. Look this place is closed off, we can come back later and check it out when nobody will bother us or be in danger." He looked around at the others, "that's fair right? We all go to the same school, we just trade number and meet up here later."

Tempest nodded slightly. "That sounds reasonable." He said. "It would be safer. We would have to make sure we have a quick way to come here, and that no one follows us, though." He said. The teen then glanced at Genesis, and smirked. "That would be the British accent. I moved here a few years ago after," Tempest paused for a second, and sighed. "Never mind. Let's just say that something happened, and I had to move here with my aunt and uncle." Tempest then took out a scrap piece of paper out of his pocket, and wrote down his phone number, before turning his attention to Dan. "If this is a video game, then I guess we must be the PCs." The boy then laughed slightly, forgetting that he was depressed a mere five seconds ago.

Genesis chuckled, finally regaining her composure and dusted off her leather jacket "Yeah, this is sketchy as hell. Yeah, could be government. But whatever it is, we're stuck." she pointed to the elevator; now shut and dead.

 

"I don't talk about the damned country. Queen can kiss my ass for all I care." she mumbled back to Tempest.

Pieces of rubble plinked into Dart's cup, when he looked up he saw a thin crack forming on the ceiling.

 

The entire place thrummed weakly around Meghan, almost resembling breathing. The monitor here was yellow, the eye plastered on it once again.

 

X.A.N.A watched everyone. They were much different than Jeremy and the others. As he woke, he gathered years worth of information from the internet, even some of it's deepest secrets. Meghan had found her way into his heart and he watched wearily; one touch and she'd regret it.

He looked to Whisper, not sure if he should be curious or afraid. "Maybe this is going to sound crazy but, um... this is just a coincidence, right? You didn't know all this crazy stuff was down here? Because I really like you, and I'd hate to find out your some kind of crazy terrorist or something."

Dart was about to take a drink from his cup when he noticed some rubble in it. Looking up at the cieling, he found that there was a thin crack running across it. Getting a determined look, Dart placed his cup on the table and ran over to where the music was plugged in. He yanked the plug out of the wall and the music instantly died down. Yelling at the top of his voice, he told everyone the the ceiling was going to cave in on them.

 

Meghan cringed slightly when she saw the yellow pop up in a comouter screen. Peering closely, she had no idea what the eye represented, possibly the logo of the factory or something like that. She looked away from it and rubbed her eyes, the glare of the screen was getting to her. Feeling slightly pessimistic about all this, she reached for a keyboard underneath the screen and tapped on a few keys, hoping that the monitor would show a diffrent screen.

"Well no...something just...I mean the elevator just seemed weird. I'm...I'm sorry." she looked down. She rubbed one arm while watching everyone else spew theories about what this was. One guy was very intent on leaving and other thought it was a game.

 

"What is that?" she asked particularly no-one. Whisper pointed to a crack in the wall that spilled white light, it looked like a hidden door.

He shook his head, feeling terrible that she felt like she needed to apologize. "It's not your fault. I probably would have wanted to check it out anyway. Sorry for asking stupid questions."

 

He looked over at the crack she was pointing to. "Good question. We've come this far, wanna check it out?"

Rick looked at the elevator, while talking to the only other senior in the room, "Damn, you're right. " he spotted the other two students that had joined them, "Wait who are you? When did you two get down here? Is that a way out?" he moved to join them by the hidden door. He looked back to see if Genesis and the others were following as well.

Amber was just waiting, she decided to watch everyone until she started to feel something wrong, "No offense but if you would all stop your theories and stuff the building above is about to collapse, thought you ought to know." Amber laid down waiting for something interesting to happen.

Meghan pursed her lips and frowned when te screen didn't change. Trying to see if she could find some other way to change the screen, she began to run her hands along the surface of the computer, feeling for a button or tiny niche that could do something to the computer and not show that menacing-looking eye.

Dan then noticed a ladder off to his right that went even further down. "Well since we're not going anywhere anytime soon, who want's to see the rest of this place?" Dan asked excitedly as he put down the item he was looking at. He then walked over to the ladder "I sure as hell do." He then climbed onto the ladder, but in his excitement, his foot slipped and he fell through the hole rather comically. All that was heard from the hole was a Thump and a yell of "God Dammit!!!"

Amber got up and brushed off her skirt. She rolled her eyes and walked over to the ladder, "coming down," she climbed down and stepped around Dan then held out a hand to help him up, "your such a kid, running into everything without assessing the situation. What is your name anyway?"

Tempest laughed slightly, and sighed. He then turned towards Amber. "If this building's going to fall, we need to get the other students out of here." He said. "I doubt the debris will cause this room to collapse, but we shouldn't be to sure." The teen then glanced at the monitor and the eye that was still on it. He couldn't help but feel like he had seen it from somewhere, but he wasn't sure.

Dan sat up and rubbed his head. He then noticed the girl offering him a hand, which he took. Once he got to his feet, he answered her. "Name's Dan, the most awesome guy you'll ever meet, unless you meet someone even more awesome, but that's highly unlikely. So what's your name?"

"Names Amber, probably the youngest person in this school, well Dan you certainly are making quite an impression having fallen down the ladder. Oh and your back is covered in dust." Amber walked over to the ladder and called up,"I don't know about that hidden doorway but there isn't a way up unless that leads somewhere, we just have to hope the students don't get themselves killed." She turned around and surveyed the room.

Dan look behind him and saw that there was in fact dust on his back. "Aw man." He said as he tried to swipe it off, but to no avail. He then decide to shake it off. He then took off his T-shirt and shook all the dust off, then put it back on. He then joined Amber in looking around. "What the hell is all this?" He asked, pointing to a few machines shaped like tubes.

Tempest climbed down the ladder, and glanced at the machines. "Hmmm. If I were to guess, these may be how we get into that virtual world." He said, as he stepped into one. He couldn't see anything inside aside from a dull colored interior. "The computer on the floor above us probably controls these and sends a program to virtualize the person inside. When I activated it earlier, the computer said, "Run Lyoko" . My guess is that Lyoko is the name of the virtual world."
