Amber kept walking but began to cut her attention in half, "Hey before I tell you can you put the headset on, its hard to hear you. Anyway, its Amber and Tempest, thats the green dots you see on the screen. Somewhere near us you should see something ooking like a tower, can you lead us to it?"

Holly looked around for a headset. Seeing a microphone attached to a set of earphones, she figured that must be it and put it on her head. "I'm guessing this is the headset she was talking about ... Amber and Tempest? The tower is ..." Holly trailed off as she looekd at the tower symbol, once she confirmed their positions, she spoke into the headset. "It's straight ahead of the both of you. Just keep going straight and you can't miss it." Holly informed Amber and Tempest.  She breathed out and wondered how Meghan would feel once she got back in control.

While Rush was debating whether or not to go down with the others, they seemed to have decided to go ahead without him. That was just as well; he probably wasn't the best person to be messing with this kind of advanced technology. Maybe he'd check it out another time, but for now, he was content to head back to his room for a while.

"Well I can't really help here. I'm not very computer savvy." Dan said, answering her. "If you can figure out how to work those scanners downstairs, I'll go in and help them." He then used the ladder to get to the scanner room and hopped in one. He then yelled out, "Whenever you're ready Holly!"

Tempest shrugged, and continued to follow Amber. He wasn't exactly paying attention to the conversation, as he looked around the area. For him, most of the noise stopped, and the teen could concentrate. "Something isn't right. Why would whatever's in here not attack us." He thought to himself. The teen was tempted to fly into the air to release some pent up energy, but he stopped himself, not wanting to leave the other teen behind.

Amber heard Holly and walked over to the tower, inspecting it she realized that this was a game and nothing was true. "Tempest and Holly, I am going to try something, if it doesn't work I may come back to the world of the living, if it does work Tempest follow me." With that she stepped at the tower wall and stepped right in to walk on a platform. walking to the center circles on the ground lit up while she stepped on them.

"Scanners?" Holly asked confusedly. She went along with it and noticed on a different screen o e of the circular tube-looking ... thingies ... was lit up. Moving her mouse over to it, she clicked on it and then went back to monitoring Amber and Tempest, hoping that she hadn't accidentally killed Dan.

Amber walked up to the center of the tower, the three circles lighting up as she went. She ascended to the second level where she walked up to a visual monitor and pressed something which projected an image of her on the screen in the real world. "Hey, did I hear another person in here? If they went down to the chamber then press that button to send them in here."

Dan heard the scanner start up and just stood there. A brief flash of light and next thing he knew, he was back on Lyoko. "Okay Holly, what direction am I going in here?" He asked as he stretched out in preparation. "And tell me if there are any baddies on the way."

Tempest sighed as he waited outside the tower. After a few minutes, he began to hum "In the hall of the mountain king" as he walked around the area. It wasn't long before Tempest had his swirds drawn and was practicing his swordsmanship. "To think that all those lessons would later help me in life." He thought, sighing at the memory. Tempest then seathed his weapons and began to walk back towards the tower.

Rick was somewhat distracted from the group when Genesis stormed by them. Still he was paying enough attention to agree with Whisper, "yeah it's too dangerous down there to play around when we are rushed or have other people above us."

 

It seemed like Genesis was heading out of the factory and that still Meghan or 'Tara' and Dan were going down below. Maybe Whisper and Rush were smart enough to stay out of it. "Yeah, I'm going to stay out of there. I'd tell everyone to do the same but you can't stop some people... Excuse me for a second." He turned and headed after Genesis.

 

He caught up with her a bit outside the factory and called after her, "hey! Wait up!" He closed the distance and lowered his voice, "I thought you were curious about what's down there; you seemed pretty hell bent on going down. Now you're storming off. What's up?"

The monitor lit up red; the program running code Holly just couldn't understand. Someone was accessing an old code in the tower; Lyoko was beginning to crash. A large red dot appeared on the screen after.

 

The Scyphozoa made it's presence known by a loud bellow; flying from behind it's cover towards the tower. It sped past Tempest; spinning in the air and whipping it's tentacles; knocking the teen over.

She eyed him wearily; trying to remember if she had sold to him once. When she couldn't conjure up an image, Genesis crossed her arms "I never wanted to go down in the first place until that little midget pressed the button. It's probably just a little video game or some ridiculous pocky anyway." She knocked the heel of her boot against a rock lightly "Besides, I'm not much of a people person, mate. Speaking of: Who the hell are you?"

Whisper nodded in agreement with Rick as helft. Whisper squeezed Rush's hand gently, both deciding it would be best to call it a night. "Let's go...I don't want to go down there..." she mumbled uneasily.

Rush nodded. "I'm not sure I really want to go down either. And I won't go if you don't want to. In fact, do you want to go get dinner or something? I'll pay, of course." He blushed, far more nervous than he normally was with girls. She was special, somehow, and he was afraid he would mess it up.

Tempest was slightly surprised by the monster, and hit the ground. One of his swords slid a few feet from him and off the island, while he was able to grab the other. "That's just great.." He thought, before turning to the Scyphozoa, and backing away slightly. He was cornered with only one swords, but he still had one ace in the hole; he could fly. There was also the problem of Amber still in the tower. "I won't leave her, no matter what." He was about to say something else, but he stopped short, not knowing how anyone listening in would react.

He was surprised at how hostile she seemed but he still stuck out his hand. "Names Rick, nice to meet you." It was instinct from his up bringing to be polite as he introduced himself but he continued, "and don't take your aggression out on me you were the one agreeing with that British twerp about finding out what that 'wonky thing' does."

 

His voice became more quiet and conspiratorial, "we both know it's not just some game, games don't control factories or reset time. You probably had a better view than me to that and you seemed like a pretty able people person down there before. I-" he realized why this was bugging him so much, "I guess I hoped you'd at least be down there to keep an eye on them. You seemed like you had some good control and common sense down there... Crazy enough to join messing with that thing but at least they were listening to you."

Holly was slightly panicking as she tried to keep everything under control. This was more of a job for Tara but since she was in control, she would have to do her best. Hearing Dan's voice come through the headset was a big relief. She really had no idea what she ws doing. "Dan, the tower is about ten kilometres west of you. I'd suggest getting there as fast as you can because a red dot, just attacked a green dot and is now heading straight for the tower." Holly told him, glad that he wasn't dead

 

She then noticed a rather large red dot on a third screen, blinking over some old code. "Speaking of unidentifiable dots, Amber, Tempest and Dan, apparently someone is accessing some old code which I can't make heads or tails of and this made a a massive red dot appear." The girl informed them and going against her better judgement, she clicked on the red dot, seeing if it would do something.

Amber sensed something outside and turned back to the screen, "Holly calm down and tell me what is happening outside, there is a limited amount of things I can do in here and I have no visuals of the outside world. She walked over to the edge of the platform and looked down before walking back to the center, "there is something I can do but I don't know how this will affect the world around us, should I do it?"

Holly gulped and tried to keep her voice from wavering. "Right. Calm down. I think I can do that." Holly whispered to herself. She breathed in and out slowly, hoping that this would cakm herndown. "I barely know what I'm doing as it is. Apparently there's a red dot heading towards the tower." Holly said and got an extremely worried look on her face. She clicked on the red dot again seeming that the first time didn't work.

"Ten kilometers huh. Let's see if I can set a record." The static electricity around him became much more intense as he shot off in that direction. Now that he was really paying attention, everything around him seemed slower. "Maybe I'm just perceiving things a lot faster." He said to himself. He then came upon Tempest facing a giant jellyfish thing. Using his momentum, he leapt up and onto the monster's head and knocked on it "Boy you are really ugly, you know that? "

Amber felt something outside so she went to the lower platform and exited the tower before stopping in her spot. "Man, we don't know if that thing is killable, after all this is just a computer program and we don't know how good it is."

"Oh yeah, food? As long as it's edible it doesn't have to be fancy!" she giggled; walking out of the factory with him while trying to ignore the feeling in her stomach.

She scoffed "You're much more concerned with them then I am. All I know is how to press buttons and talk through a microphone, pictures aren't hard." Then Genesis pinched the bridge of her nose in embarrassment "I can't go back down there anyway. I don't like...I don't like small spaces."

The screen began to glitch and one by one monitors shut-off. The red dot displayed nothing but jumbled nonsense when pressed. A scary sound reached Holly's ears; the virtualization pods began shutting down.

The Scyphozoa floated lazily with Dan on top of its head. The sky in Lyoko flickered like someone was playing with the lights and the giant jellyfish took their momentary distraction to spin quickly and throw Dan off. It flew upwards; higher up the tower and about to escape.

Tempest smirked, as he flew into the air. He wanted to make sure this thing couldn't come back to haunt them later, and was about ready to strike. "You aren't getting away that easily." He said, adrenaline pumping through his veins. The teen had his sword at the ready, but felt weird as the sky darkened for a moment.

It worked. Once Tempest followed the Scyphozoa and was out of reach from the others, it turned and lashed out. The Scyphozoa wrapped Tempest in it's tentacles, pulling him underneath it. It began to do it's work, searching and sifting through Tempests memories and learning more about his DNA sequence.

Tempest felt like his body had been dipped in an ice bath, and was paralyzed. As the monster tore through his mind, the teen's vision began to fade, and his appearance became darker. "I... was a fool." He thought, as his sword slipped from his grasp and impaled itself into the rock.

By the time Dan recovered from being thrown off, He noticed Tempest in the giant jellyfish's grasp, but he couldn't tell what itdoing to him. Even so, he could tell that it wasn't good. "Put him down you overgrown jellyfish!" He yelled out as the static around his body gathered around his legs. He then took off toward the tower and ran Up its side and jumped back onto the Scyphozoa. "Eat this." His arms blurred and vibrated dangerously as he landed blows on the monster's "head"
