Ever been lucky enough to have seen some theatrical screenings for older movies that have long since ended their original runs in the theaters? (whether they be from official re-releases, or special one-night-only screenings)

Bonnie and Clyde (1967)

Yellow Submarine (1968)

The Godfather (1972) - I just went and saw it today (and it was my first time seeing it!).

Young Frankenstein (1974)

WarGames (1983)

Back to the Future (1985)

Beauty and the Beast (1991)

The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

Jurassic Park (1993)

The Lion King (1994)

Toy Story 1 and 2 (1995/1999)

I saw some of the ones you just mentioned during their original theatrical runs (namely The Lion King and Toy Story), but sadly I haven't had the opportunity to watch a classic in a theater just yet. Note that I'm defining "classic" as a popular movie that released before I was born.

Watching 2001: A Space Odyssey on a giant screen is definitely on the bucket list.

I saw Gojira (Godzilla) in selected theaters a few months ago, b/c of the new Godzilla.   (Saw it in New York City and I tell you, no matter how old that movie is.........it reigns as a true classic sci-fi monster film, :D)

My absolute 2 favorite were the original 1977 star wars and Tim Burton's batman. Both were dug up by a local theater that I used to go to so I got to enjoy both on their original 40mm format.
