Cadence's parents

The Journal of the Two Sisters clearified that the Crystal Empire was ruled by a unicorn Princess Amore before Sombra rose to power (likely murdering her).  Since Cadence is not a pure crystal pony and was born a pegasus, this means that her father must have been an outsider and pegasus.  That is assuming that she is in fact, the proper heir to the throne, but we don't need to discuss that here.

 

Of course, the only male pegasi that we know of from that time period is Commander Hurricane.  Of course, he was also a high profile pony, who probably interacted with Amore a lot.  Also, since his work would require him to be far from the Crystal Empire at times, this would give us an easy way for Cadence to not be in the Crystal Empire when Sombra took over.  I mean, I'd think "murder the one heir to the throne" would be pretty high on Sombra's "to do list".

 

Of course, this doesn't explain how Cadence became time displaced.  But that's complicated in so many ways it isn't even funny.

I would really have liked it more if Cadence was actually an ascended alicorn an it has been told that she is one. So my theory is mostly that she probably doesn't have "THAT" much known parents. She also might possibly be an orphan.... Most likely she might be one of those students that Celestia took under her wing. I don't know if she is really related to Celestia or otherwise. Anyways... I have a random headcanon that says she is a half part of Chrysalis' soul and that they originally form a united Queen of whatever the changelings used to be before they became changelings. I have even written a fic about it.

You know there is a book on this about how Cadence came to be an alicorn and her time distortion.

 

I believed it involved her mother and her child Cadence, being captured and sealed in dark crystal by King Sombra. When the Princess overthrowed Sombra, before the empire was cursed and disappeared, the crystal somehow got thrown out of the empire that held the princess and Cadence. They were sealed for that time period of nearly a thousand years till finally they were released.

 

Cadence mother though was badly injured from the crystal being tossed so violently and seeked refuage in the Everfree forest, where she spotted some ponies outside of it. She left her child Cadence to be raised by these ponies cause her time was near. The ponies of the everfree find Cadence, and we dont know what happends to her mother after that. (Odds are she died). The story then continues about Cadence being raised and realizing her true talent in spreading and sharing the love yaddayadda I won't go into that though.

 

But that should explain the time displacement. As for her parents i know nothing about.

Hasbro approved but no it's owned by IDW Publishings. In the comic, Cadence explains to Twilight how she became an alicorn etc and we get flash backs. Supposedly her mother was related to Princess Luna and Celestia or something.

Basically it begins with Twilight Sparkle having issuses adjusting to life as an alicorn and seeks advice from Princess Cadence and Cadence explains to Twilight about her story of how she became an alicorn.
