Night falls on Canterlot. Celestia stares out of the window overlooking the Canterlot cliffs. It had been nearly a week with no communication of any kind with the Crystal Empire.  Reports of black plumes of smoke had also been reported from the direction of the Empire. This was no Simple loss of communication.....something else was going on here. 

 

She turned towards her regal sister, Luna.

 

" When will our recon  team be here ?" She asks.

 

" Any minute my dear sister, they have just passed the front gate" Luna responds, worry evident within her voice.

Navy was walking with the recon team. He had already annoyed the rest of them with his mischief.
"Aww, c'mon guys. I didn't piss you off that much did I?" He said. "You all are just jealous of my amazingly awesome skills." He says full of himself. "At least I don't have notes on my flank." He snickered. He had put 'Kick Me' notes on all of their flanks.

Gears had ignored the notes and had fluttered her mechanical wings in order to remove them. she didn't want the pony to get any more laughs then he already had. she had been recruited as a tech expert for the recon team.and it was a good thing too you never know what might happen. "so" she said addressing the pony who seemed to have a habit of being annoying. "why are you on this team? i'm here for my technical expertese. what is your perpous?"

"Demolitions Expert and Scale Planning. I get to work with bombs and where they go,along with quick escape routes and stuff. That's how I'm so sneaky with things like that note on your wing." He chuckled. He had put anther on her wing that said "I smell." 
"You all are so easy it's almost not fun."

"i do belive" she said haveing switched to professional mode "we are not here to play pranks" she said while removeing the note, without looking at it, with her magic. it burst into flames and fell infront of Navy's feet. "so in other words unless you deem this to be practice for your delicate hands i sugest you stop." she thought she had him this time.

"Eh. It is kinda practice. But mostly for my entertainment." He said.
"Makes me smile, you should try it sometime." He chuckled. 
He moves so he's standing next to her.
"Don't be such a grump." He said dropping a stink bomb in front of her and it went off in her face with sickly green smoke that smelled of rotting cheese.

A royal guard approached the two bickering ponies with a slight frown.

 

" Hold it up you two. This is Celestia's chamber right ahead. I want no more arguing, and heed her every word" he says opening the door to the throne room, a weary Celestia atop the throne. It looked like she had not slept in days.

Navy looked at Celestia.
"What's up Tia?" He said knowing perfectly well it would get the guards upset he disrespected her, but they couldn't do anything about it. He snickered at the thought as he got a few glares.
"So uh...what did you call us here for?" He asked. " I was in the middle of ro-...Uh..I mean...watching tv."

Gears whispered very quietly so the guards and Celestia couldn't hear her "stop it doof brain. you'll get yourself killed." she rolled her eyes at him and addressed the princess formaly. "Princess Celestia" she bowed "i appoligise for my very very rude friend over here. he seems to have learned no manners at all. however this was deemed an emergency thus we should continue i presume." she stayed bowed extra long because of Navy's rudeness.

"And stop bowin. You gave me enough time to put another note on you." He said and chuckled.
"Either way, what was I called here for? Like I said I was in the middle of something."He said with a grin, but also annoyed.

Gears knew how desperate this mission was and didn't really want a joker on the team. really didn't. but if Celestia wanted him she would get him. Gears didn't know how this would play out. she silently wished he would get crushed by a boulder or blasted to a blivion.

(OOC: And like that, My job to piss off a charachter is complete! XD But He'll be nicer to her from now on.)

 

He looked at gears.

"I know that face all to well. You hate me now." He said a cross between accomplishment and sadness. 

"Fine, I'll leave you alone....most of the time." He ended with a chuckle.

Gears compleatly ignored what Navy said and continued to wait for Celestia's answer. she wondered what the problem could be. she hoped it would all be ok. she hoped her friends were safe. "Princess Celestia?" her voice cracked a bit "what is it we are needed to achive?"
