Salacberry 90 July 10, 2014 Share July 10, 2014 Hi everyone! I'm currently in my final year of high school, and one of my subjects is based on design. For our major folio, we have to follow the design process to produce two final presentations for a client, which can be whoever we like. For my client, I chose Hasbro, more specifically My Little Pony. As a part of my project, I'm hypothetically rebooting the brand again, which means new character designs. Part of the criteria for this folio is the use of 'design thinking strategies,' ways in which our work can be evaluated and we can gain feedback. So where do you guys come in? Well, I have a very short survey about my three possible character design concepts that I'd like to include in my folio as one of my design thinking strategies, and it would be amazing if you guys could help me out by completing it! I thought this would be the perfect place to ask, since this is a MLP forum after all. Keep in mind that the target audience for these designs is young girls aged 4-12. Also, the survey is about the styles of the drawings, not the character that has been drawn in each.Survey 1. Which of the designs is the most effective? 2. Which of the designs would appeal most to the target audience? 3. Which of the designs would be most successful in the current market? 4. Which of the designs is most appropriate for the My Little Pony brand? 5. Which of the designs is the most aesthetically appealing? All you need to do is answer each question with either '1', '2' or '3.' 1 is the first design, 2 is the middle etc. Thankyou so much for taking the time to read this, and if you'd be willing to help me out that would be absolutely amazing! ♥ Sweet Style ♥ Ivy Swirl ♥
Bucky McGillyCuddy 956 July 10, 2014 Share July 10, 2014 Each one is good in it's own way. Number two almost looks like it could be a Pokemon haha. In fact I think the second style takes first place in all departments you listed. Good work! 2 If you'd be so kind as to check out some of my drawings, I would really appreciate feedback. http://mlpforums.com/topic/82464-feedback-is-magic/?hl=feedback+is+magic#entry2127254 http://mlpforums.com/topic/82871-what-happens-when-a-pony-fights-a-griffin/?p=2178588
Mephala 2,633 July 10, 2014 Share July 10, 2014 This is hard to say because I am not 4-12 years old, but thinking in that mindset, I'll try not to be biased. ^^ Which of the designs is the most effective? - Design 2 Which of the designs would appeal most to the target audience? - Design 3 Which of the designs would be most successful in the current market? - Design 3 Which of the designs is most appropriate for the My Little Pony brand? - Design 3 Which of the designs is the most aesthetically appealing? - Design 2

websterhamster 203 July 13, 2014 Share July 13, 2014 1. Which of the designs is the most effective? 2 This is a very hard question because it's subjective and vague. Effective for what? 2. Which of the designs would appeal most to the target audience? 2 3. Which of the designs would be most successful in the current market? 2 4. Which of the designs is most appropriate for the My Little Pony brand? 2 5. Which of the designs is the most aesthetically appealing? 1 My favorite design is number one, as I appreciate that form of art better than the other two. However, for the purposes of MLP, design 2 wins over the others. Design 3 is left out because the target audience includes 10-12 year olds. Design 3 would be better for a target audience of 3-6. 1 "You have the voice of the gods." ~SmittyWerbenjagermanjense The Evening Breeze - Every Sunday evening at 8pm Central on Bronydom RadioBrony Internet Directory: http://brony.co/dir KI6UAP - Licensed Amateur Radio Operator - Kilo India Six Ubiquitous Armored Ponies

I guess the other questions elaborate on it. ♥ Sweet Style ♥ Ivy Swirl ♥
