gaming Warlords of Dreanor Beta- Early Impressions

So far Ive been in the beta for 4 days and have been enjoying it a great deal. ATM it is still a very early build, but it is still massively impressive. When im not writing a bug report for a character that is now unplayable due to being stuck in mid air. (General beta problems) Its a fantastic return to WoWs dark side. What new models are in game are night and day to the originals and the game now holds its self up as a contender of modern graphics. Here is hoping they keep on track. I for one am very excited for this ill keep doing my part in beta to help make Warlords a success. Are you in beta? What do you like/dislike so far? Or are you just excited for it? Or do you loath it? Lets talk but please keep it civil.

Note: There is no NDA on the beta people are streaming a lot of it on twitch.

Do they do a good job explaining he the whole time travel thing? That's the only aspect of this expansion that I can't seem to get behind.

I'm wondering, what class(es) have you been playing? I recently came back to WoW but have yet to receive a beta invitation unfortunately

I have tackled all but Mage and Pally so far. DPS and tanking so far havnt played much healing yet but from what im told its...Diffrent.

They do, its not a full time travel thing its more of a alternate dimension thing. If you like the books i highly recommend reading War Crimes. It all happens pretty rapidly at the end but it explains it very well.

What I want to know is, how long have you been playing WoW though?

I started back in the original Vanilla beta, and played up through Cata. I thought WotLK was decent, Cata was ok at best. I enjoyed Vashj'ir and the whole Egyptian theme zone, but the game was getting worse and worse because of the community and hand holding. Now I know WoD isn't going to do anything for the community problem, but how is the game? Is it closer to Vanilla/BC or is it just Cata/MoP 2.0? I played the MoP beta BTW, so I know what it was like. WoD has me somewhat interested in WoW again from just what I know, which is location and awesome new models. But I need more info from long time players, at least those that remember the glory days of BC.

I was an a closed beta tester of Vannilla and raided Hardcore till Cata in which i quit before we even started raiding but ive been playing for a very long time. I will give it that it is staying with a light lingering of certain panda land aspects but is returning to a BC feel with a new set of toys. The numbers are no long stupid in size and the gear is taking on a more Diablo style stat progression. They are for sure simplifying things but at the same time bringing the "Oh piece of candy" to the loot. Its obviously not going to speak to everyone but it is for sure in this veterans eyes a very positive step in the right direction. Again this is a very early Beta build atm so plenty of things are subject to change.
