What powers would the police forces of Equestria have?

Now it's been revealed that at least Manehattan has a police force, what kind of powers would they have? Would they have Tasers etc?

They might just have basic stuff, hoof-cuffs, batons, whistles, but no guns and tazers like our force.

(This entire post is just my ideas. Pointing this out every time I say something would make the post borderline unreadable.)

-Earth Ponies would be trained to run fast and be able to hit quite hard. Hard enough to kill, if need be.

-Pegasi. Wings. Not much else to say, really.

-Unicorns would likely be the equivalent of guns and tasers and what have you.

They would be like the guards in every fantasy RPG ever. They carry baseline armor with the city heradly on it, are moderatly trained, and normally overpower the crime commiting no0b within seconds due to fighting in groups of 3s.

 

they probably just carry swords/batons with super basic wrist irons and either a uniform or some form of leather/chain mail armor. However, due to the rampant technological disparity Equestria seems to have, they would infact have a fully modern police force.

While they may have police styled uniforms, Equestria has a large technological disparity, as shown by their use of horse drawn carages, and fireflys as a light source in their hospitals. So while they may wear semi-modern looking uniforms due to their lack of technological development I would wager that they do not have tazers or firearms.

Equestria is non-violent so perhaps police in their world is some sort of symbol or formality.

Bit they do have trackers! And also in the comic, Manehattan appears to be way more advanced than Canterlot or Ponyville, with electric lighting and a subway system.

It is a way of distinguishing rural from city living in a more obvious sense.

While it has those, it still does not have automobiles, nor have they shown that they can create the lipo batteries needed to have a tazer operate. Heck, other than a TSA looking trainstation seen during a song number with discord, they still lack mass transporation like busses or airplanes. So why they may suddenly have certain technologies in order to appear to be more like new york, they seem to lack the ability to create the peices needed to resemble a modern police force.

 

And the comics are known for having an off continuity with the show itself, it is a large part of the crituqes it receives.
