He still had a feeling of awkward about being there, he got a bit of a stupid idea.

 

"Haha, I could always present myself as your bodyguard, me returning to the guard and all. " 

 

He gave a short laugh. Giving it one last thought he broke though. 

 

"You know... you do seem very welcoming... I accept your humble offer. "

((I'm still around, just busy, it being finals week and all. I'll try to at least say enough so it doesn't seem like Elo vanished into thin air))

 

Eloquence listened quietly to the conversation of the two ponies as she absentmindedly played with Ellipsis, moving her forelegs as he hopped from one to the other. She too had felt inclined to reach out to Dark Star, but she knew that Lightning Bliss had an offer that would suit him better than her friend's raucous party, and she couldn't just not attend, it was practically tradition among her close-knit group of friends. 

 

"I think this little family get together sounds wonderful. Cozy and inviting, not so much like my usual Hearth's Warming Eve, not that I say that as a complaint mind you. It sounds like the sort of celebration that really captures the spirit of the holiday."

Bliss smiled and nodded to them both.

 

"If it helpse DarkStar, I'll tell them you're one of the my guards, it will at least give my Nights Hoopla some time off from being one and just being my husband for once hehe," she grinned and turned to Eloquence. "The invitation is there for you too if you want it Elo."

Eloquence smiled and nodded a bit shyly. "That is very kind of you Lightning Bliss. I do have the aforementioned party to attend..." She paused, considering the offer. "But, perhaps I could pay you a visit as well. I would like to, it sounds like you have a wonderful family."

"Great! Bodyguard to a Princess for Hearths Eve. That removes a lot of awkwardness. Way more confident about it now. " 

 

Here it was, he will be doing something this year that can be considered interesting other than renting houses. 

 

"Well, since you are from Appleloosa that also explains the Apple Pie. " 

 

He snickered.

She snickered back, "And guess who's the pony in charge of making that apple pie!" She drew a hearty hoof towards herself, before turning to Eloquence, "and well its ok if you don't make it Elo, you can always visit afterwards! I can write the address down for you if you like?" *Squees*

"Celestia save me. " he replied to Bliss making the pie. "I hope everyone makes it out alive from that party. " He continued teasing her and snickered. 

 

He look at his cloaks pocket, and what was inside it kept getting into his mind - The Letter. 

 

"I take it we are outside the Gala and illegally trespassing in a royal garden? Safe for me to open it. " 

 

He levitated it in front of himself. Thinking if he should or should not open it.

(OOC I'm not sure on this because it would be A LOT of OCs for me to handle, a huge pony sized family of OCs I don't think I could keep up lol)

 

Bliss nodded and giggled at the aspect that for once it wouldn't be her husband that's guarding her on her outting to see family, but a former, well no longer former, unicorn guard would be escorting them this time.

 

"I hope you're as good with magic as being a guard," she giggled, "but then again after that display with Chase Razor, I shouldn't be questioning it. I think I just voice it because of my husband, he may be a little uneased to not have his duty... But I'll worry about that, he needs to learn to relax once in awhile."

"Duty is such a life and energy draining thing. Anyway... " 

 

He opened the letter and started to read it silently. 

 

After a short while when he finished his eyes stood open. He closed it slowly and attempted to do something he could do well, block away his emotion and not let it show. He took several deep breaths and felt like razing the whole garden to the ground. Dark Star slowly calmed down. 

 

"Anyway... I will be honored to guard you instead of your husband so that you can share some family time together. " 

 

 

[Yeah, I can see your problem, but really, it seems so nice and all and just acting it out like it happened but we don't do it is just weird and a bit of a waste. :c "

[OOC could do an RP where we journey to Appleloosa for the festivities and we run into hiccups or 'threats' along the way and the reward through it all as that we better enjoy our time for the holiday, that way it would just be me, you, my husband's OC (and possibly my new OC assistant that I've yet to make yet but will be coming soon)]

 

Bliss noticed Dark seeming to restrain himself after he read his 'secret letter' and wondered whether or not it was her place to ask. Then again though she was Princess, if she was that curious about she could look for herself without a fight she supposed...but she never liked exercising that right.

 

"Is everything ok DarkStar?" She asked instead of directly questioning the letter.

"Yeah yeah, no, but yeah. " 

 

Dark Star got himself under control, he really didn't want to ruin anyones time anymore with his problems. 

 

He put the letter back into his pocket. 

 

"So, yeah. What else should I expect from the party that I would possibly like or need to know?"

She titled her head to the side, sensing he really wasn't telling her the truth but sighed and let it pass.

 

"Well really we just need to bring ourselves, oh and I'll need to bring my recipie book on apple pie and the ingredients, maybe some clothes and belongings etc." She went on.

He just spoke, trying to forget about what he had just read. But was forgetting something he should be doing at the moment?

 

"Also... the letter... " 

 

Dark Star took it out again. 

 

"You remember my date I was waiting for? Well, guess what. She died two days ago... an accident... I just didn't want to ruin anyone gala again with my problems. And... I can't say I am rushing to react... it just... hurts... "

In that moment of hearing Darkstar's terrible news in the letter...her ears dropped down to her side.

 

Immideatly flashbacks of her father began to surface...She remembered what it felt whe she got the news from her elder sister...that horrible faitful night when...he just...was gone...

 

"Gah..." She suddenly stood up and grabbed Darkstar's hoof, "come with me, to my place. Let's leave the galla, you don't need to be here. Come to my home, meet my husband Nights Hoopla, and we can plan the festivities together." She insisted by pulling on his hoof. This was her only way to dealing with such horrible news, complete and utter distraction with something positive.
