The flatness at the bottom of his hoof is due to saving, not a mistake. (Well, technically a mistake, but not in the artwork.)

 

I've been doing a lot of vector artwork for a project lately. While I can't share most of that now, I can share this, which I attempted just today. I have to say, it went much easier and now that I've been doing it for a while, I think it looks much better than previous vectors that I've attempted. I used Shining Armor as a base. I can't remember where the file is, but I'm sure it's around. I'm not crazy about the hair stripes or the eyes. For some reason, there's something inherently not MLP:FiMish about the eyes, but I can't pinpoint what it is. I also think he looks slightly too thick and buff, but it's done on top of a reference image so I guess I can't expect much better. Anyway, I'm happy with this otherwise.

 

It looks much better than when I tried to draw this several months ago, anyway. Ugh...

O yeah he looks like Shining Armor Recolored.

However, using Shining as a reference? That sounds a lot more realistic, and it's totally okay
