Hopefully not  I just have a lot of anxiety issues and decision-making is one of the areas where my anxieties manifest most potently :wau:

I would say more like Twilight assuming the leader role and AJ with their stubbornness.

Mixed in with a little bit of this of course:

Seeing as I'm a little 'odd' myself, a little bit of crazy is always appreciated ;)

I step into yet another one of these open Q&A threads filled with merriment (and apparently Pinkie) with the heinous motivation of tossing out a question to force a consideration of self. Undecided, if you would so indulge me, I have a question regarding art. As a wordsmith, I try to wrangle the consciousness of imagination and give to it (I hope) coherent life. I have found that my most successful attempts have come from 'falling into the craft'. The moments that you lose all notions of self and disappear into your work - mind and soul.

I have seen your drawings and I wonder; have you have found this terrifying sanguinity that some call 'being in the zone'?

I really appreciate the manner of your writing, it reminds me of how I write my essays. :)

In response to your question, I have yet to 'be in the zone' when drawing ponies. Perhaps it is due to this lack of complete immersion that I am yet to be satisfied with my works. As someone who grew up by the sea, I often found myself drawn to the water for escapism and meditation. Consequently, I began taking my sketchbook with me as I sat and watched the waves. This is perhaps my ideal setting to disappear into my work, as it allows me to clean my head of all anxieties etc. before I start. That is the closest I get to 'being in the zone' artistically, its a work in progress :D

Ha, I try and keep a more stuffy literary appearance in this forum specifically, for absolutely no reason at all. Call me a Mr. Whimsical Contrarian.

Your response actually brought home a little rush of nostalgia ... my family used to have a summer cottage in Manahawkin, NJ. You can be damned sure I remember sitting on the boat dock listening to the water lapping against the bulkheads, lights of the houses reflecting on the lagoon ... peaceful.

 According to my friends and colleagues, I speak in a rather pretentious manner :wau:

That sounds wonderful :)

@, I certainly wouldn't say no to better oratory skills, my public speaking is dire! I have had many presentations etc. fall flat as a result of my inability to express myself publicly with any confidence. ;)
