"I-It's kinda m-my fault, I was the one who challenged her to a race... a-and then... I was the one who destroyed Town Hall, a-and I was the one who made her fly away from me by kissing her- Er... I mean, made her fly away from me, yeah, lets go with that." Sonic slipped up, was it too late?

Twilight raised an eyebrow, "You kissed....never mind so what your telling me is that Rainbow Dash had nothing to do with this and that it was all your fault? Because if this is true you could clear her name but you would get all the blame for this" she gestured around at the town halls interior

"I was the one who challenged her." Sonic said. "Even thought she was tempting me to challenge her. Now. I just don't know what to do, She flew away before I could comfort her, all because I went a little bit too far." He said.

"So, uh, what's your name, purple unicorn?" He asked.

"My name is Twilight Sparkle and I'm the librarian and Princess Celestia's personal student, oh I hope I'm not sounding pretentious" she didn't want to give him the wrong idea, "I'm just here for my studies on magic, but I have to ask what you are. I've never read about anything like you in my books..."

"Hi, Twilight Sparkle." Sonic greeted. "My name is Sonic, I'm the worlds fastest hedgehog!" Oh how he loved saying that.

"So, you said you are studying magic? But magic doesn't exist where I come from- well, unless you count television boxes that give you powerups, rings, and boosts of speed"

Twilight seemed very fascinated by the hedgehog, "Another world? I should write a letter to Princess Celestia at once" she looked around but she realized Spike wasn't with her. "Well that can wait, I got to help the mayor with this mess and then I can foster where Rainbow Dash has gone"

Sonic looked gravely at Twilight. "Oh Please let me help you find Rainbow Dash!" He said. "I need to make it up to her for challenging her to that stupid race! E-even if I did win." 
Sonic was unsure of what to do regarding the damage done to the town hall, hearing the mayor's response earlier, he wasn't entirely sure but she made it sound like they had a different currency from his, and that was going to be a problem.

"I would like to help you but" she pointed to the sides of her body, "I don't have wings, and I'm not going to magically sprout any anytime soon, however knowing her she is probably hiding on a cloud somewhere."

A grey pony came up to Twilight and handed her a paper, she frowned, "it appears we have 10,000 bits worth of damage to pay off"

"I-I'm sorry..." What else could he say? While the ability to run at the speed of light and beyond is something that Sonic almost always took pride in, now it was something that got him into a heap of trouble. But he wasn't going to give up his passion just because of that. "Wait, 10,000 bits!? E-er... I suppose those aren't different from rings, right?" Sonic asked as he pulled out one of his rings from seemingly nowhere. It making a noise as he showed it to Twilight. "This is only one ring."

Using her magic Twilight took the ring and examined it, "This it defiantly not a bit," the took out a small gold coin to show him, she tried to bend the ring with her magic. After it seemingly wouldn't bend she gave it back to him, "That however is defiantly made of gold, if you went to a bank you may get a descent conversion rate on it"

"B-b-b-but..." Sonic began. "I-I need my rings... if I get hit without carrying at least one ring then I'll lose a life." He said, not expecting her to get what that means.

"Is there any other way?" He asked Twilight. "We're going to have to find Rainbow Dash, too." He heard Twilight mention something about getting the 'Mane Five' together, and that they would go look for Rainbow Dash.

[Whatever does that mean?] He thought.

"Ok....." She tried to wrap her mind around the term 'lose a life' before she just gave up all together. "If you can't give up your rings then all you really can do is work to get the bits back as for Rainbow Dash I'm going to have to get the others and go get her because she isn't going to listen to anypony but us"

"Everybody?" Sonic said. "You have other friends?" He asked.
[i'm more then willing to work for this money, but I don't know if I'll be good at any of it.] He thought.

"I'd like to come with you Twilight to find Rainbow Dash, I need to apologize to her. Well, after we finish up here, of course..."

"is it... really that bad?" Sonic asked, looking at the paper Twilight had on the damages.

"Yes I do have friends", Twilight seemed slightly hurt by that statement, shrugging it off she hoofed the paper to Sonic for him to look at, "Feel free to tag along with us if you want but don't get in the way, Rainbow Dash may not be exactly too happy to see you"

"I understand" He said to Twilight. He knew he had to make up to Rainbow Dash but what Twilight had told him was kinda contradicting what Rainbow Dash had told him, since earlier, she told him that it was because of her that Sonic was tempted into racing, so, he was a little confused at that. Then again, she could be mad about the kiss, but he was only trying to cheer her up.

"Did I make a mistake when I was trying to cheer up Rainbow?" He whispered to himself.

Twilight returned to talking to their orange pony at her side. "Well we can leave whenever your ready"

"I think we should go now Twi', who knows what Rainbow may do when she's left alone for too long"

"I agree," the unicorn turned to Sonic, "We're going to go now"

Sonic followed them. "Okay then. Where are we going to search? I can get there really fa-" He stopped himself before he could speed off. "No No No, I don't want to cause any more damage to this place." Twilight gave him a look before he was about to run off, but he quickly realized it, while the orange pony asked him a question. "I've never seen you round these parts." She said. "Where ya from? Everfree Forest? I'd reckon." 

 

"No no no, I'm came here from Mobius, to be honest I don't even know HOW I got here."

"Mobius, is that some kinda fancy country or something?" Applejack wasn't exactly well versed in Equus' various countries.

 

"No it's a planet" Sonic told her

 

"Now yer just pullin' my hoof, there's no way you could have came from another planet, every pony knows that there's only one"

"Well, that's where I came from." Sonic then restated the entire story from beginning to end, going through a portal, getting stuck in the cloud, meeting Rainbow Dash, challenging her to a race, running at the speed of Light, accidently destroying Town Hall and how he got to this moment in time.
"Yeah, that's my story." He told them "I don't know if I'll ever get to see them again, Tails, Shadow, Silver, hell, even Amy!"

"Well I'll be that's a interestin' story" she noted, just then Twilight came trotting back with a bouncing pink mare in tow. "Ok I got Pinkie, I'll be right back with the others" and with that she teleported away. "Hey Sonic!" The pink pony gave him a big toothy grin

[strange, I haven't even met this lady yet and she already knows my name?] Sonic thought. "Did Twilight tell you what my name was?" To be honest that was probably the most likely conclusion. Sonic turned to Applejack. "Well, I'm kinda amazed how Twilight can teleport with just using her horn, where I come from we can telelport, but we have to us- Wait a second, What is that tingling feeling?" Applejack and the Pink Pony had no idea what he was talking about.

"How can that be right?" Sonic suddenly walked away from the group, urging them to follow him. They walked for a while until they came across it.
"Aha, so I was right!" Sonic yelled. "A Chaos Emerald!"

After hearing their names...

"I-I just can't believe I found one here, of all places! O-Oh er... where exactly am I, anyway? I never got the answer from Rainbow Dash or Twilight Sparkle."

"I'm back!" As if on cue Twilight returned with two other ponies behind her, "I heard what you said, your on Equus, planet E12-Gamma in the constellation of Equueslus." She rattled off as if she had read it right out of a book, "I got the others now I think we can start looking for Dash"

"Um..." Sonic started. "In English, please." He told Twilight. "Or, if your comfortable with whatever language your speaking, then how about me?" Sonic started dropping some Japanese words that left the rest of them confused. "But, seriously, can you say it in a way we can understand?" 
[Twilight is just like Eggman, ahaha! Eggman, get it? Because she's an egghead? Ahahahaha!] He thought.
