"Good," she looked pleased, "now that Dash and the letter is taken care of Ill be heading back to the library" she quickly said her goodbyes and headed off back to town. The other ponies did the same, leaving Rainbow Dash and Sonic still standing together in the field

"Well, so much for that, I thought the group would be together just a little bit longer..." Sonic sighed... "I've been wondering for a while now..." He turned to Rainbow Dash. "How is she going to send out that letter?" He asked. "I'm going to assume it's something completely abnormal, considering what I've seen of Equestria so far." He joked.

"Well they all took time off work to find me" she told him, "on any other day we'd all hang out here but if you want to know how Twilight sends letters I'm just going to say it's in the strangest way possible. She uses her dragon Spike to do it, he just burps fire on them and they go straight to the princess"

"Welp, I knew it was going to be totally abnormal." Sonic looked over to Rainbow Dash.

"So, hey, um... besides the fact that, well, you know... What happened after I ran at the speed of light during the race? I didn't see you at all after that, well, until after you came to Town Hall, I mean." (I hope whoever that pony was in there isn't going to come here now to see me about it...) He thought to himself.

"Oh that, after I preformed to Sonic Rainboom I flew above the town to avoid hitting it. I didn't want to hurt anypony just to win a race" she told him. "I'm just worried on how to pay off the mayor, I'm not so worried about the Wonderbolts anymore, I'm just so awesome they will accept me anyway"

Sonic snickered. "Heh heh, your right, you are awesome. But I did tell you I was the World's fastest hedgehog." 

"So, Twilight told me that Pegasi are born with the natural ability to control the weather? Can you tell me more about that?" He was curious about the details

"Old stories say that when the gods made pegusi the used rain from the clouds, giving them the ability to control the weather and fly. So now we have a weather factory that makes weather for the whole country and we have teams of Pegasi who work to keep it in check, I'm the head of the Ponyville team" she began boasting

"Boasting again, are we?" Sonic said. He continued to further listen to Rainbow Dash. "So, what your saying is, there's a certain pond that you and the other Pegasi need to use it to bring water up to this weather factory where you use it to make rain clouds?" He asked.

Well, bring me to it, I could probably single handedly bring up enough water to keep the weather handled for years." He giggled.

Dash smirked, "Fine, I'll take you there but you'll soon find out that not everything can be accomplished with speed" gesturing with a hoof she lead Sonic down to the lake outside of town. "Here it is " she joined at a half full reservoir. "Ok so all you need to do is get all that water up there" she gestured to the silhouette of Cloudsdale in the evening sky.

"According to what you told me, the speed of the pegasi flying is what brings the water up to Cloudsdale, correct? If thats the case, I think this job is perfect for me." He said to her.

He looked over to see an orange pony standing by what looked to be some sort of machine. (Maybe it measures speed?) He thought. The pony standing by it was wearing some goggles, and some sort of flight uniform. 
"That pony over there." He pointed towards the Pegasus with the orange mane. "Who is that?"

"That's Spitfire, I called her down here to record your wing power, or in this case how fast you will be running." She nodded to the pony.

"Ready when you are."

"Ok, you can go run when your ready but I tell you only Pegasi can control this water to move it to Cloudsdale"

"You underestimate me, and you know what happened the last time you underestimated me, Rainbow Dash? I've made tornados made out of water plenty of times before!" He said, getting ready to run in circles around the pool of water. "I got this. Don't worry, if something goes wrong, you can stop me, Rainbow." He looked over at her, then gave Spitfire an approving nod. "I'm ready to go."

"I'm not saying you can't make a tornado but good luck trying to make it go we're you want it to" she took position over by Spitfire. "Ready?" She asked

"Ready" the other pony flipped the switch on the device, it shuttered at came to life.

"You can go now Sonic" Dash put on her goggles

Sonic started running, he didn't want to go to the speed of light right away, he wanted to gradually increase in speed so this way, the chance of something going wrong is less, it was a simple transition for him, while it was true he was hoping to break some sort of record, he cared more about the fact that if he could do this, then the pegasi wouldn't have to for a really, really long time.

Dash looked at the big device, it read 254 miles per hour and rising. "Decent but not close enough to get anywhere near Cloudsdale" she shouted against the wind. She turned to look at the lake, a giant funnel began to take shape over the water. "Such speed," she muttered, it was insane that one creature could go so fast

He started going faster and faster, feeling the wind and the water against his splines, he was used to this.

The blue streak behind him started to appear, but only because he wanted it to.

Sonic looked over to see what state the tornado was in, it looked stable enough.

"That tornado is pretty stable" Spitfire relayed to Dash, "are you really sure this guy can pull this off?"

"He seems capable enough to make a tornado but I don't think the water will go to Cloudsdale without pegasus magic"

"Makes sense, but I want to see how this turns out"

Sonic ran, and ran, and ran, eventually reaching the speed of sound, and then the light spectrum, and then light speed.

"I'm not going to let this falter, now!" This would take a huge chunk off all the pegasi's shoulders if he could just raise this much water to Cloudsdale.

"What in Celestia's name!!" Spitfire couldn't beleive her eyes, never before had she seen something move so fast. The water from the lake rose higher and higher until it blasted out the top of the twister and blasted out like it was shot from a canon. The water went high into the sky, even higher than Cloudsdale, but it didn't angle toward the floating city. Instead a whole lakes worth of water was about to come raining down on them

He heard Rainbow Dash screaming at him that the water was going TOO high, and was going to rain down on Cloudsdale.

"What!?" He said. "I caused one disaster today, I'm not going to be the cause of another one!" He knew that if he stopped running, the water would just fall onto Cloudsdale, so he had to keep it running, he couldn't get Rainbow Dash to do it, because the decrease in speed could break the tornado and it would hit Cloudsdale anyway, that only left him one option.
"Here goes nothing..." He started running up the Water Tornado in circles, because he was running on the water, he was able to keep it stable.
"Rainbow!" He yelled, "I need you to evacuate Cloudsdale!" Then he remembered the Chaos Emerald he had. "On second thought!" He told Rainbow. "Chaos Control!" He slowed down time, so now he can find a way to guide all this water into the whether factory.
Eventually, it was done, and he restored the natural flowing of time, the water was now in Cloudsdale's whether factories.

Rainbow landed on the ground and watched the hedgehog do his work. "Sweet Celestia, that was close" Spitfire took her googles off and rubbed the water out of her eyes. Dash was mesmerized by what Sonic had done, he had single hoo-handily

emptied the reservoir.

"Whew, it's done." Sonic trotted over to Rainbow again. "I guess I don't know my own speed." He turned to Spitfire.
I apologize if I got you all wet, ma'am." He said.

"Wet? Wet? You broke the wing power record ALL BY YOURSELF, AND YOU CLEANED OUT THE WHOLE POND!" Spitfire was shocked beyond belief.
"W-well, I don't mean to brag about it..."

"Ya, That was so awesome!!" dash did several tricks in the air to make a point. "We don't have to come back to this reservoir for four seasons!" Spitfire gave Sonic a salute, "you have done Equestria a great service and I want to thank you on behalf of our people"

Rainbow followed suit at saluted as well

Sonic returned the salute back to the two of them

"Is there a chance this'll make up what happened at the town hall earlier today, Ms. Spitfire, ma'am?" Sonic asked.

"Ponyville town hall, I'm afraid I don't know about that" she shook her head

"There was an accident and we need 10,000 bits to pay off the damage" Dash explained

"I see, well let's see we split the employee fund evenly between all the Pegasi for working on the twister and add that all up and multiply......" She continued her mental calculations for a minute, "your total will be 12,000 bits, roughly speaking"
