"Y-y-y-you're serious?" Sonic spurted out. "I can pay it off now! Wooohoo!" He pumped his fists into the air. 
Sonic looked over to Rainbow Dash. "I cannot thank you two enough for this."

Spitfire then walked over to Sonic. "Ya know, kid, with that kind of speed you have, YOU could be a Wonderbolt, ya know?"
"Oh, no no no no" Sonic waved his arms. "If there's one pony who's deserving of that position, besides you guys, it's Rainbow Dash over there. Besides..." Sonic turned around a bit.

"No Wings..."

"Right...." Spitfire looked a bit embarrassed, "well I'll keep your request in mind when Dash signs up formally. I have to be getting back to Cloudsdale now. Expect a paycheck within the next several days" with that she took off back to the city. "Wow, thanks" Dash was flattered that he didn't take Spitfire up on her offer

"Did you hear that, Rainbow Dash? You're getting a recommendation from the one and only fastest hedgehog in the world!" Sonic said.

"Now, I think we should stop by the Town Hall and let the mayor know that we'll have the money in a few days." Sonic looked to see that it was getting dark. "Maybe I should also find some place to shelter myself for the night, too..."

"If your suggesting that you want to stay with me I'm afraid that you can't. I live in a cloud house, Pegasi only" she blushed. "I think it's a good idea that we talk to the mayor before she decides to send guards after us" she flew a short distance above the ground, "besides, I think I've had enough excitement for one day"

"Pegasi only? Is that because only pegasi can walk on clouds, or is it that you don't actually want me staying there?" He asked.

"Hahaha, I can agree with that, I'm exhausted. Plus, I need to sleep, believe it or not. If I don't get enough sleep my running abilities and speed are affected."

"Well up in the clouds is where all the cool ponies are and I'm afraid you don't fit the bill." She nudged him playfully, "I would imagine your abilities are effected, I sleep a lot so my flying skills are always at their best so that's something we have in common" the town of Ponyville came into view

"Are you saying I'm not cool enough?" Sonic decided to play along for now. But Ponyville came into view and he didn't want to gather any unnecessary attention to himself.

When they arrived at Town Hall, they saw that the mayor and her crew had still alot of the mess left to clean up.

They mayors eyes locked on them instantly, "You....." She stomped over to them, "did you really think you two could get away, well Twilight can only protect you for so long, now you have to deal with me"

"Wait, wait, wait Mayor just let us explain"

"The time for 'explaining' is over Ms. Dash you and Sonic are coming with me"

"What do you mean 'coming with you'? Where are you taking us!?" Sonic said as the mayor started to pull him and Rainbow Dash. "I had a long day, come on." He said to the mayor.
"If your going to take us somewhere to pay off the bill, I'll be getting the money in a few days!" He said, but the mayor didn't believe him. "Just let us go, please?"

"Why should I let you go?! You two are the reason the town hall is in ruins AGAIN!!! An don't you tell me you got the money because if Celestia just so happened to send you a mirical that isn't going to happen" the Mayor ranted, "you are going to sign some paper work that labels you two as the culprits for this, then I can legally accept your money"

Sonic sighed. "Okay, Okay... fine..." He didn't know what else he could do to change the mayor's mind about this.

The two were dragged further and further with the mayor, where was she bringing them? 
The mayor stopped pulling them and sat them down at what looked to be like a table.

(Someone help us, please? I don't want to sign any papers!) Sonic thought.

"Ok just sign here" she puched the papers to them. "I will not sign these papers Ms. mayor" Dash stood up defiantly.

"What?!" She didn't expect this, "your going to sit down and sign these papers NOW Ms Dash!" She hissed through gritted teeth

"Sonic earned the money you need, we aren't going to sign your papers"

"It's true, Mayor, ma'am." Sonic was quick to defend Dash. "I'm going to be getting some money in a few days so if you could just-" before he could finish he heard rustling of something behind him. Him, Dash, and the mayor looked back to see Twilight there with the Princess, her mentor.

"P-P-Princess Celestia" the mayor got up from her seat and bowed, Rainbow followed suit.

"Greetings my little ponies," the princess smiled at them, "is there a problem here?"

"Yes your majesty, these two troublemakers have destroyed the town hall and refuse to sign the liability papers!"

"Is that so?" Celestia raised an eyebrow

"It's only because we have the bits to pay the damage off just that you refuse to listen to us!" Dash yelled back at the mayor.

"Hey, wait a minute, I'm not a pony!" Sonic said. "And Dash is right, I tried to tell the mayor that Spitfire will be sending me the money in a few days, but she doesn't want to listen to us at all!" 
Twilight walked over to him "Sonic, bow." She said.

"What, why?" He didn't know who that was.

"She is the ruler of Equestria, now please bow" Twilight urged him, Sonic suppose it would be best to do as he was told. Celestia heard what Sonic said but she did not yet acknowledge his presence, "This is true Ms Mayor," she levitated a scroll into her face, "I believe this all the proof you need"

Snatching the scroll from the magic aura the mayor looked over the note, "Right," she became very red in the face, "It seems as it's just all a misunderstanding, you two are free to go" she gestured to Sonic and Dash before burying her face into some papers and pretended to look busy.

"Oh, it's quite alright." Celestia told Twilight. "I can't expect a creature that's not from our world to bow to someone who is not his actual leader, besides, he probably doesn't have a leader."

Sonic looked at the mayor.

"So, am I off the hook now?" He asked the mayor politely

"Yes, yes" she didn't look up from her papers, "I just don't want to see you in here again"

"Aw ya! My life is not ruined!" Dash forgot her formalities in front of the princess.

"I'm glad to see that we got this issue resolved but there is a far more important matter to attend to. Sonic, I would like to speak with you in private for a moment"

Sonic didn't recognize the voice. "Who said that? Who wants to talk to me?" He asked.

He looked all around trying to find out who it was that call her, but it seemed he couldn't find who it was, that is, until said pony approached him again. "What is it? How important?"

"It's is a matter of great importance Sonic" it was Princess Celestia was was addressing him, "The letter you have sent me was very...interesting. As such I would like to speak with you privately for a moment if that isn't to much of a problem" she patiently awaited an answer

Sonic turned to the Princess. "O-Oh. Of Course, I don't have a problem with that."

(I hope she isn't going to take my Chaos Emerald from me.) He thought. Starting to follow the princess as she led him. (I'm going to be on my heaviest guard, I don't exactly know where I am or if I can trust this pony just yet...)

"No need to be wary around me Sonic, I'm not going to harm you" she noticed how he kept eying her nervously. "So your new around here as I have heard, I hope your enjoying your stay for the most part. What I find the most interesting is the way you got here, trans dimensional portals are not to common you know"

"Okay..." He followed her until they came to a stop. "Soooo, what did you want to ask me?" She asked him about his time in Equestria. "Oh, it's been pretty good so far. I definitely had some up and downs but who doesn't? That said, I don't really have a place to stay since I'm stuck here. I asked Rainbow for hospitality but she.... Uh...

"Rejected you." Celestia finished his sentence. "It doesnt surprise me, Rainbow Dash isnt one to do that sort of this, but perhaps its also that hedgehogs probably cant stand on clouds." The princess' small smile turned into a frown, "However I must ask about this chaos emerald that you have in your possession, its sounds very.....interesting"

The princess' small smile turned into a frown, "However I must ask about this chaos emerald that you have in your possession, its sounds very.....interesting"  

Sonic immediately became defensive. "You are not taking this Chaos Emerald from me." He said, but he didn't mean to be hostile, and he was hoping that she wouldn't take it that way.

'Interesting...? What do you mean by that?" He asked her still being a little bit defensive.
