Near Ponyville, right at the edge of the Everfree forest.

 

Two figures emerge from the everfree forest. One is wearing a full body cloak made of leaves. His presence is dark, but not evil. This is the dark Alicorn, Shadowknight. His blue eyes peared out from under the hood of the leaf cloak. "So there it is. Ponyville. I never would have believed if mother wouldn't have told us about it." Shadowknight said in a low, but pleasant voice. His tone was neutral, but there was a slight hint of awe at the sight of such a place.

 

His brother Sunmane stood next to him and smiled brightly. "Its not as nature-like as I would've hoped, but it looks pretty amazing from here." Sunmane said in bright, cheery voice. He looked at his brother and then back at Ponyville. "Well, weren't not going to meet everypony by just standing here, are we? Lets go!" Sunmane said happily as he charged out of the woods. Shadowknight smiled slightly and shook his head before tailing his energetic, nature-loving brother. He was careful to make sure that the leaf cloak still covered his body, but he knew the sun would really do a number on him as soon as he left the shelter of the tree line. He went anyway, this was going to be a bright new future for the two brothers.

CANTERLOT CASTLE

 

Princess Celestia was pacing in her chambers. "Something does not feel right. It was almost too easy from the stories they have told. What is the truth?".

Mirrorwing stands upon his cloud house, hidden away by a trick if the sunlight hitting the clouds. "So far it us still peaceful. Thuis is unnerving, Celestia is all nervous and now I have to feel it. Damn that pony for not staying dead.."

Luna had just nestled into a perfect little cloud-bed when an uneasy feeling began to creep down her spine. This of course irritated her severely. After all, she was up all night managing the progress of the moon and making sure that nasty critters didn't sneak into the towns and such. At least evil forces could have had the decency to arrive under the cover of darkness like they typically did. Rubbing the tiredness from her eyes, she poked her head out over the lip of the nimbus-pillow to view the world below her. Nothing immediately caught her attention, so she instead chose to roll back into the indention she had made herself, pulling the strands of darker cloudiness over her head to block out the light. She hoped that this might permit her to get some sleep, but she had to wonder if whatever evil there was would wait long enough to permit her that.

The two brothers entered Ponyville. Sunmane marveled at the buildings, while Shadowknight kept his head low. Shadowknight was getting more then a few curious glances from other ponies. "Can we go somewhere else, Sun?" Shadowknight asked his brother. Sunmane's attention snapped back to his brother, remembering his brother's condition with the sun itself. "Oh yea. Sorry." Sunmane said as he changed their direction, heading toward a nice shady tree near the center of Ponyville.
