Opinions on Garble

What are your opinions on our favorite teen dragon? Most would say he's a one dimensional bully, but he seems to have a genuine sense of camraderie with his gang and he accepted Spike into their gang with genuine smiles.

There is not much to say about him, generic bully character for the most part but he is loyal to his gang and did accept at least for a little while that is until Spike stood up to the gang when they tried to smash some phoenix eggs.

Not much to say about him. Just another bully character who's sole purpose in the plot was to make Spike seem like the small guy. He's slightly more tolerable than Diamond Tiara since he only appeared in one episode but he still went to far, especially when trying to kill an unborn phoenix

Actually, considering phoenix immortality, it might be a necessity to cull the eggs so that the population doesn't explode

I don't know about that, Diamond Tiara seems to like Silver Spoon though I guess he has a certain loyalty that a lot of bully characters don't have. I suspect that is may be part of the dragon code. I picture the dragons as much like the Madalorians in the Star Wars universe, they have their own honor code which is very different than the one the ponies have and Spike himself tried to create his own dragon code. This code of honor respects strength and loyalty above all else. Garble reflects this in his own sort of way but he never really had enough time for him to become anymore than a generic bully character. I would like to see more background and world building on the dragons.

Yeah, but with Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon, it's a very clear power dynamic that she views Silver Spoon was below her on the pecking order, albeit higher than others. Garble's the leader, yes, but he seems to now view himself as superior to the other dragons, save Spike. 

 

From what we've seen of the adult dragons, they're greedy, very easy to piss off, overreact, and are surprisingly sensitive

I'd say he's less of a character than Diamond Tiara and I hope he never makes another appearance.

Nothing interesting about him, he's just an asshole.
