paradoxical 1,735 August 28, 2014 Share August 28, 2014 Yes and No, I dont want to see relationships at all, but I would be utterly pissed if they did do relationships and went the homosexual route just to please the loud part of the gay community and force gay equality morals, Some bronies do want this and it is very annoying, Heterosexual relationships would be annoying because unless it is built up over several episodes or an entire season the the relationship will not feel pure. Whether or not this sentiment is true, the fights over a homosexual pairing would be too much for Hub to think about considering as a possibility of an option. Zefir 34 August 28, 2014 Share August 28, 2014 I think it should be done discreetly. An episode out of the blue about one of Mane 6 colt friends would be as bad as Flash Sentry. But what about a small appearance, and not even being called a colt/mare friend directly? Like for example: Pinkie Pie goes on a journey, goodbyes at the train station. Next to her we see a mare/colt, which will apparently accompany her. No dialog between them, maybe just a few face expressions to say that something is between them? No further explanation, episode goes somewhere else. Maybe he returns a few times, just being a background character that happens to be one of the main characters love interest. Of course that wouldn't really pay off. We need an episode to focus on him to make his creation profitable and stuff. The target audience for this show is litel girls.Who are rather impressionable.I don't think Hasbro wants to give them the idea they need a boyfriend in their life. Not to mention, the show itself is about the Magic of Friendship, not the Magic of Relationships. It would throw the show off the basis of what it stands for. Throwing in unneeded characters like that is fruitless. None of the mane 6 "need" or seem to have any interest in a relationship to begin with, other than Rarity, who fell for both Trenderhoof and Blueblood. Both of which were introduced as a love interest. AJ totally rejected Trenderhoof on top of that.Yet Rarity tried so desperately hard to impress Trenderhoof, and he had no interest in her. In short, It probably will not happen, if it does, it'll be a one episode thing.That said, I wouldn't mind seeing more into Big Mac x Cheerilee. Considering they're older than the mane 6.I think it'd be alright, considering they're not main characters. Fluttershy's lover, she's my waifu. Playing "home" with infant dolls or Ken and Barbie dolls is basically an introducing to relationship since their early years. Every girls cartoon and even previous Generations of ponies except G1 were also about getting boyfriends. Hell Flash wasnt even Meghan idea, Hasbro wanted some love interest and they forced him into the show too. If anything mane6 having boyfriends in S5 would be Hasbro dream for their toy sell. Its only for Meghan effort that show keep away from shipping becasue they have no idea how to introduce love interests yet(Or maybe Meghan have an idea but we may never know). Hasbro always allow for shipping in official comics, they wanted to see if Celestia/Sombra would be liked and they test the waters for future pairings.
