Spike's part in the sequel

I still have yet to know what Spike is going to be doing in the new movie (besides being a hound again). They didn't really show much of him in the trailers or sneak-peeks. Probably planning something unsuspecting for him. I'm hoping he'll be able to have a proper singing part in the movie (or at least singing in the background, so at least he won't be left out of the fun). Everyone knows he talks now, so it wouldn't hurt.

What would you like to see him do in the new movie?

I do not think Spike will play a major role in the sequel. I think he will be there to give us a few laughs. Maybe Spike will take a role as the mascot to the Sonic-Rainbooms.

I would like to see him play the sarcastic straight man, who critizes the often poor choices the characters make, and fills the role of exposition man as his questioning of the plot and its devices lead to exposition. I would like to see him be a human (as the diamond dogs are human, but I guess the "pet" allegory is just to much fun to make), and have him overal just be the voice of the audiance.

However, he will most likely just be a tag along character again, who brings up a flaw in the movie early on only to have said flaw never answered fully. Other than that he will just be a rather forgetable supporting character.

AS LONG AS HE'S IN IT.

He's in it. I saw in the trailer.

I just wanna see him sing once and then I'll be fine with anything else he does in it. I don't wanna see him left out of the fun and all x3

Sadly he's left out.
Doesn't get to be part of the band or do anything other than "mascot ex machina" with fetching someone.
