Side Series Idea

I have an idea for a mini-series, it would be set about a hundred years or so in the future. Most if not all of the mane 6 would have passed away. It would follow the adventures of Spike, as a teenage dragon or maybe a young adult. Bening raised by ponies, Spike is welcome in pony culture, and travels around Equestria collecting trinkets and possibly historical artifacts. Spike has sort of become a records keeper and spends a lot of time keeping the story of the Mane 6 alive and accurate. He and the princesses keep in touch and Spike will sometimes do favors for them.

 

How does that sound? Does anybody have anything to add?

(I might write it as a fanfic if I can find the inspiration.)

Probably will be what MLP is like in a couple seasons. Could be decent, but has a high chance of going down the pooper at that point I would think. Especially if alot of the main cast started leaving.

Sounds kinda similar to my idea for a future series that follows the CMC and a few other Ponies their age (Silver Spoon, Diamond Tiara, Twist, Dinky Doo etc.) when they are the Mane 6 age!

 

The Mane 6 are much older and are following their dreams and aren't seen much.

 

Like MLPFIM Next Generation type thing!

 

 

Anyway [Rerail] your idea sounds great. Kinda sad that everypony from the show will be dead but that's life!

It sounds good, but I wouldn't say the Mane 6 died. It could be like Dragon Quest, but with a more serious tone set whenever Spike gets old/mature, and the 6 are just older. But its your story. Im not saying anything is bad. But the whole idea with collecting and Celestia being in touch is a great idea!

 

Im also hoping for a Daring Do spinoff.
