Programming Forum?

So, I scoured most of the forums, and nothing was lacking except for one thing: programming. This site, at least as far as I've seen, does not have anything for the more technical among us. I was wondering if there would be any way we could possibly create a forum for the people of code.

As someone who makes their livelihood in programming and and dev, I am intrigued by the idea, however we tend to shy away from creating too large of a hierarchy in Beyond Equestria. Now, if there were more members in the fandom that post here who just happened to be focused on creating Brony projects that would require a sub community of software, web, and app developers ... you would find me all in. I just don't know if there is much demand here for that. Perhaps I am mistaken and this thread will explode with those who find the idea promising.

In order to avoid cluttering up the site with unused sections, new forums are created only as needed. If there was enough demand for such a forum, then I'd be all for creating it. As it is, however, there's not enough to warrant its creation. For now, we have a Technology category in Media Discussion.

EDIT: We also have a dedicated programming thread for any general discussion on the topic.

Locking this thread as there is no stampeding demand for a Programming subforum. As with any suggestion, we can evaluate in the future as demand may grow. :D
