How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: Me and my best friend saw the various pony images on 4chan (before they had the separate pony board) and wanted to see at least one episode so we could understand the references. One episode became five. Watched every episode we could find on youtube. Hey Everypony! I'm 35 and I work in the pharmaceutical industry as an chemist. I live in the Gainesville area of Florida, USA. I'm still a little shy about showing my brony self to the world so the majority of my interaction with the brony community has been through the web and a few brohoofs at general conventions like Megacon in Orlando (I wore a Party Cannon T-shirt last time). My friends are cool with me being a brony, I'm get the most worried about how my co-workers and other colleagues would react. I work in science but I have not had the luck to work with an entire office of the personality types you see in the main cast of Big Bang Theory. A few folks at work know but there's a lot of stick in the mud types at my company and I've read too many accounts of other bronies who got treated differently at work after their co-workers know. I've never had to tell anyone about it, mainly cause a worry about what others think. 1 time I stood up for a fellow brony on another forum which I was a member for 2 years and my closest friends there didnt even know. But I seen many people giving him a hard time so I stood up for him and everyone backed off, I guess it was in shock that I was a brony too. I got several messages from people asking if it was true. Thats when I had to kinda spill the beans. Most have let it go now and have moves on, still my closest friends allow me to be who I really am around them. Sounds really cool that ur into science.
