Regarding Brohoofs

Red Cedar

Recommended Posts

I understand fully the desire for many to collect brohoofs and the satisfaction many receive when a post of theirs receives a large number of them. There may, however, be instances where brohoofs are not appreciated on certain posts or the intent of the post was such that a brohoof received would be seen as inappropriate to the poster.

My suggestion is to implement the ability for posters to remove brohoofs from their own posts, either individually or totally.

Can you elaborate on a hypothetical case where this would apply?

What?

Nono, I understand what you're trying to say, its just that...Well, what?

I cannot imagine a single instance where I'd say "I say, I say, this brohoof on this here post is unappreciated by me, the poster, and I wish I could remove it, and thereby state that I don't want the brohoofer's support".

Yes, I typed that as Foghorn Leghorn, what of it.

You truly are the Rosa Parks of not understanding what r34 is.

Ok, I can see a situation where a poster is down, or laments about a current situation, or creates a depressing post. Another user brohoofs that post and the OP takes it the wrong way. I know that happens. In situations like this I would encourage dialog and not a technical solution. If you are talking about a situation where OP just doesn't like the BH'er ... then I have to disagree respectfully for that sort of customized approach.

I look at reputation systems as another way for a poster to participate in the overall discussion. To make him/her known to the content creator with a simple 'like' button.
