Jolt seen some Pegasus Flew out of the Detention Center with her notes. He began Walking towards Moonlit Ace "Hey" he said to get his Attention "I got the copy Autopsy Report." he said as he shows it to him "Did anything about the Defendant shared with you?" he ask.

Moonlit told his 'partner' what he found out about the convicted, but he showed Jolt the piece of paper with all the notes that he had written down based on what the defendant had told him.

 

"Yeah. It's a mystery to me too. I don't really know what's going on based solely on what I was told, guess it's time to investigate a little bit after I check the autospy." Moonlit took the autospy from Jolt and read over it.

'That would be helpful. Thanks for the offer,' Shadowhide replied, as she walked back to the crime scene. 'In that case, perhaps you could start by searching for traces of blood and other similar things around the area? However, don't spend much time on hoofprints; that's my specialty and I've already searched the area for them.' While that last part about hoofprints was mostly true, she was hoping she could at least keep the discovery of Aero's hoofprints at the crime scene to herself for now, so she said that to prevent Arch from searching for them.

Archean searched the area where the body outline was at for a while, "Hmm.... well there seems to be a large amount of blood under this cloud to the far right of the body. Were the clouds moved in this area, or has it been preserved for the crime? If so, then we can interrogate whoever moved the cloud here, or away from here."

Storm sighed when the headache passed. "Sorry to make you worry... It's that I hit my head too hard onto the ground when I crashed onto the ground" He sighed as he looked up tiredly to his attorney... and another one? "Huh? Who are you?" Storm asked the other pony.

"No problem, i'll see if I can find anything else. Good luck on your side investigation." Continuing the search, knowing that the crime was preserved will help Arch with his investigation. "Hmm... I know that Shadow said to find blood, but the hoofprint is very tempting!" Thought Arch. "No! Stay on task, self! Now blood wise, other than the one  seem to find any others. I should write down that the bloodstain is under a cloud to the far right of the body, suspect of there being a pony up on the cloud." Area surroundings added to the court record.

Vincent was flying over the hot desert, flying towards the scene of the crime. He'd arrived in town barely a week ago, and suddenly there was a murder. It wasn't what he was expecting for his first case in Equestria, but the Griffon supposed it was interesting atleast. He'd been assigned to the case, along with another Prosecutor, something that surprised him... were multiple prosecutors common in Equestria.... and he was a tad worried how that would work out in the court room. He'd have to find his fellow prosecutor later and work out a 'game plan', as it were. For now, he needed to collect the facts. First things first, was speaking to the detective in charge. 

 

He'd found out that the detective assigned to the case was currently investigate the crime scene and, with some directions, he flew off towards the site. He spotted a lone pony standing by what he assumed was the detective, taking a moment to adjust for a landing before gliding himself back down to the group. When he landed, he took a moment to wipe some dust off his black suit (a nice contrast to his white feathers), and adjust the red tie he wore, before going over to the pony.

"Hello. Vincent Stormwalker, Prosecuting Attorney for this case." He said, gesturing to his badge before offering a talon, "I need to speak to the detective heading this investigation. I was told it was being headed by one Shadowhide?" he said, curiously. He hadn't spotted anyone else...

"I see..." Vincent muttered, hearing that the head detective was gone... he supposed he'd have to track her down later. On the other talon, it sounded like she was chasing a lead, which could help in the long run. Still, his annoyance was clear for a moment before her returned to his usual demeanor. 

 

At the question, he chuckled slightly, "Of course. The defense has the advantage of getting to talk to their client, hear more of the story... I`m lucky enough to be able to follow my own leads and talk to any witnesses I may find..." he said, pausing a moment. "Now, I already have an autopsy report... electrocution correct? Am I to assume the weapon was a storm cloud?" he said curiously, not seeing anything else in the area that could have caused such a thing. "What information have you gathered so far?"

"Well... we found a bloodstain to the right of the body under a cloud, some hoofprints, and a lot of sand. The blood has not been tested yet, and Shadowhide is going to find out about that cloud. From what I can tell, the cloud has been used recently and only once. We could be dealing with a sharpshooter of electricity, but I can't say for sure." Arch paused to take a breath, the stared again. " I have a map of the area and the objects in it." Archean gives Vincent the 'Area surrounding' diagram.

Archean noticed a dark coated pegasus running towards the scene. "This could be trouble, I better stop him for details."  Arch thought. He held out a hoof in defense, " Hold It! Who are you and what are you doing here? Unless you are somewhat apart or connected to this case, leave the area!" The rush of protection felt natural, the stern hoof out. He felt like when Shadowhide stopped him earlier.

^{Vincent took a moment to look over the map. It seemed to match up with the layout well enough, so he put it carefully in a satchel that hung from his side. "Well, if I see any poinies slinging lightning around, i`ll be sure to let you know." he said, smirking slightly. He tried to make a mental note of everything that the stallion was saying... after all, you never knew what was going to be relevant in a court case. "Now, Archean, I have a few questions... first of all, how common are.... crimes of this magnitude in Equestria."}

"Thank you" Moonlit said. "So is it okay if I look around the area too?" He asked, eager to get on with it so they he may just understand the case as a whole that much more. "I barely know anything about this case considering what the detectives may know." Moonlit thought to himself "better get a move on."

"Basically, a bloodstain to the right of the outline of the body, the bloodstain is also underneath a cloud, cloud went of once, and sand and dirt is everywhere. Any questions?"  Arch asked in a fast and jokingly manner.

With that, Moonlit took the time to explore the scene as he pleased, and since it seemed no one was stopping him, he was wondering if there was anything that the detectives have not found yet, which may become something he can use as a trump card at some point.

"I see. I was simply curious: In the Griffon Kingdoms, thsese sorts of crimes tend to be more common. I wanted to know what sort of mood to expect in the courtroom..." he said, pausing as he watched the other stallion. ""Ah, so you're the defense attorney..." he said, giving a.... polite smile. "Well, one of them I assume." he said, figureing that if there was more than one member of the prosecution, logic dictated there'd be more than one member of the defense. "As the good detective said, i`m Vincent Stormwalker, nice to meet you." he said, offering a talon. Sure, there were on differant sides when it came to the case, but that was no reason not to try and be civil.

(I'm about to make Shadowhide and Aero Wind have a conversation. It'll probably require lots and lots of words. Sorry if this becomes very long!)

 

After a quick visit to the precinct to verify Archean was telling the truth about being assigned to the case, Shadowhide made her way to Aero Wind's house. She knocked on the door, and was greeted by the familiar green pegasus. 'Hello, Aero. I have a few questions I wish to ask you,' she said.

 

'Hey, Shadowhide!' Aero responsed. 'Come on in. Let me guess, you're working on a case and you want to ask me about it?'

 

'Correct.' Shadowhide walked inside, and along with Aero sat down on his couch. 'Are you familiar with Sky High?'

 

'Yeah! He knows heaps about the weather! Well, most ponies probably know him as the Wonderbolt's manager, but I know him because of the amazing weather lectures he gives!' Aero paused for a moment as he pondered why Shadowhide asked about him. 'Nothing happened to him... right?'

 

'He's dead. The case I'm working on is about his murder.'

 

'He's... dead?,' was all Aero could say before a silence fell over them. It took a few minutes before Aero spoke again. 'I'm not a detective or anything, but I want to do anything I can to help you find Sky High's killer.'

 

'There are some things I can use your help for. First off, my questions. Where were you at 12am yesterday?'

 

'I was... home. Asleep. Like most ponies at that time.' Aero may have spent a tiny bit too long to answer that question, but Shadowhide didn't seem to notice anything.

 

That doesn’t explain why his hoofprints were there. Perhaps it's possible Aero was simply there a different day? At any rate, it seems she won't get any information about the scene of the crime from him. Time to ask about something else. 'Could a thundercloud be used to electrocute somepony?'

 

'A thundercloud? I suppose it's possible, but they're rather rare, and you'd have to hit it just right... But now that you mention it, at 12am yesterday there was an excessive amount of thunderclouds in the badlands. I think they sent some lightning-resistant pegasus to deal with them.'

 

'A pegasus went to the scene of the crime? That pegasus could potentially be our killer. Do you know their name?'

 

'No I don't, sorry. I wasn't involved in dealing with those thunderclouds. However, I might be able to find out for you. Come see me again later today and I'll tell you what I found out.'

 

'Very well. Thanks for your assistance, Aero. Is there anything else you can tell me?'

 

'I don't think so. Well, I'll see you later today, Shadowhide.'

 

'Farewell.' They waved to each other as Shadowhide got up and left the house. She found out some things from him, but she still has a nagging feeling that Aero’s hiding something. After all, she couldn't find out why his hoofprints were left at the scene of the crime.

 

Now that she's seen Aero, it's time for the task she's been dreading. She checked earlier where Gale News was staying, so she went to the hotel room she was staying at and knocked on the door. She almost wished Gale wasn't there.

Gale threw herself at her bed and buried her face into the pillow and screamed in frustration. She had called in favors and tried to get more information on the current case and was still left with more questions than answers. She got up and started packing her things up in her bag and put her camera around her neck. "I need to go back to the crime scene and find more evidence and if I fail this time.....I might just have to go back to the Gusty Horn with what I have right now", she sighed. As she was contemplating her failure she heard a knock at the door and trotted to it thinking it was room service.

When she opened the door however it was the farthest thing from room service. "W-What are you doing here?!", she stuttered as she tried to close her hotel door in the detectives face.

Shadowhide quickly stuck out a hoof to catch the door, stopping it from closing. 'Gale News, I presume? I have your lost ID card. However, before I return it, I request you let me ask you some questions about what you were doing at the crime scene. Is this acceptable?'

"You have my I.D!!!", she screamed. "Since when do detectives steal from civilians?", she asked angrily

 

Gale eyed the detective up and down and decided that she would answer some questions. After all this wasn't the first time she had lost her I.D and the boss was getting tired of her clumsiness. 

 

"Fine lets talk", she said

'You dropped it,' Shadowhide simply replied when Gale accused her of stealing her ID.

 

Gale then agreed that she would talk. That was a huge relief for Shadowhide. 'Thank you for your cooperation. Firstly, why were you standing on a cloud at the crime scene?'

"I was sun tanning. Out in the Badlands the sun is at it's greatest. Before I knew it you had arrived and started yanking on my tail. I got so scared that flew away. Last I checked nopony was supposed to be out there" Gale explained nervously.

 

Gale shifted in place and wondered just how she was going to get out of this mess. She could see the headlines now. "Expert reporter get taken in because of amateur work."
