Best way for Sombra to return?

We all know that when he was seemingly blown to bits in "The Crystal Empire", his horn managed to stay in tact, so there's a high chance he could re-materialize and show up again. Personally, I'd like to see him another 2-parter, with his horn being discovered by some new zebra character in ....whatever territory the zebra race live in. (Maybe re-introducing Zeb, from G1?) And Sombra would work with the zebra race (who are known to use dark magic as well), carrying out some diabolical dark magic fueled plan, and it would be up to Zecora to save the day, for once, instead of the mane 6, as usual.

From my perspective the main reason for bringing him back would be to do the character justice. I hope I'm not the only guy who feels that whoever came up with his look was done justice by his two most memorable lines, "Crystals" and "No", if I recall correctly.

 

But yeah, as great as that'd be, I can't see him coming back. His defeat seemed pretty final, and it's not like he has a personality or anything that you could build on by reviving him and giving him another go. In my opinion, the only ways you could do something with the guy canonically would be if you looked into his history, or brought him back and gave a reason why I WILL RULE THE UNIVERSE was the full extent of his motivation. Like, I don't know. A brain parasite?

As much as I would love to see him come back through some dark magic or Necromancy, I don't believe that would can happen. Though I can say that I mostly agree with Smokie-Horse, so read the post above.

There's a few ways and 2 i akways thought would be cool but won't happen cause come on it's a kid's show first are

 

1) Queen Chrysalis looking for his so she can bring him back and take over the crystal kingdom with him. And she eventualy does and long story short they take over the crystal kingdom abd combined are too powerful for all the princess's, but they can trust each other and their paranoia becomes their undoing because they betray each other and that's how that ends

 

2) Sombra basicaly posses's bodies and goes from one pony to an another in search of a more powerful pony get his revenge

 

Yeah these are my ideas for him coming back, but I don't think he will be

He returns indirectly, namely by his horn functioning similarly to the Alicorn Amulet and the Inspiration Manifestation.

 

If he's Pony!Sauron, then that could be his "One Ring," after all.

He was pretty disappointing for the pony version of Sauron. But then again, it was the pony version of Sauron, and no other version of Sauron is more bad-ass than the original.

 

Sorry, Sombra isn't coming back unless McCarthy runs out of "rip-offing" other villains.

Anything is possible. Personally, I thought he was great in the show and I'd love to see him return. Whether or not he would come back is another question though.

really? Please no. Poor Spike gets hated on and pitied enough as it is for that kind of stuff. He already is poorly mistreated by the writers, true, and he doesn't need to be put in another situation like that 9which would be all the more horrible, since he already saved the Crystal empire from Sombra, once already).
