IridscentNionios 1,420 October 10, 2014 Share October 10, 2014 (edited) ... what would they do in Equestria?Is this simple enough?Alright let's see.If Chrysalis wasn't a villain what would she do in Equestria?If Sombra returned with the Crystal Empire what would he do if he wasn't evil?How could the show have used them?Note:I am not discussing redemptions here. I am merely creating a "What if?" scenario. We have already seen from the comics that there are alternate versions of villains and stuff. But i wonder... What would you guys picture characters like Chrysalis, Sombra, Discord, Sunset Shimmer, doing if they didn't "Fall from Grace" per say?Another note:I am not saying you go and reverse other characters but if you want to put some other villains in there it'd be welcome. The alternate universe one? Look i did say i know of this, i mentioned it on the OP. I just would like to see what you think the show would do with them if they weren't villains, plus what would you think they would do if they weren't villains. I mean isn't the conflicts of the mane 6 just the same thing as what you say? I wouldn't exclude them becoming villains later, but what if their beginnings in fim weren't those? What would they be doing? What would be their job?@@Darker, He could be something like Chiron to Hercules. Chiron is a centaur that was like a mentor to Hercules. They weren't in G1, I don't know why they were in G4, I guess it was to make their relationship more effective, yet G1 still does a better job at that for the mere fact that Tirek does not leave Scorpan one moment alone, and keeps torturing and screaming at him. Also, salamander ponies? Really? There's only one pony species that will obviously rise from the depths! THE SEAPONIES!! What would they be doing? What would be their job? There's a problem with that though. FIM is a mixture of Slice-of-life and adventure. The characters we know as real "villians" in the context of this show would not exist if it was solely slice-of-life. If we were to go route you suggest, the conflict wouldn't really be there if they were to keep it child friendly....they would revert to "Simple Ways" style conflict...not much for "development" there. I mean, are they threatening in that context? Plus they wouldn't become the same "evil" in the way Chrysalis and Sombra were portrayed, it would just be misunderstandings and jealousy (like Equestria Girls).... There is always conflict between characters, and even in real life, we have conflicts with our closed friends and loved ones, but when you step back, nearly all your conflicts with close people involve misunderstandings and jealousy (any form of selfishness really)... 1 "In fire iron is born, by fire it is tamed" Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Sombra: Well, he was probably the most evil of all of the G4 villains, but...I see him essentially being a male Twilight if he wasn't evil. Tirek: Probably similar to Scorpan, I would imagine.
