I want to know if it's possible to put an audio file that YOU as a person recorded (not Youtube) onto the Personal Messaging system for a single person to hear for themselves. Thank you.

Technically, this forum allows Soundcloud-based linking,so it should work on the same way for the personal messages.

Also, there're recording websites like Vocaroo, which allows you to record and upload recordings of your voice.

In sum,yes,you can.

If you want to embed a sound file in a PM you can use the iframe or embed code.

On soundcloud and other services it looks like this

<iframe width="100%" height="450" scrolling="no" frameborder="no" src="https://w.soundcloud.com/player/?url=https%3A//api.soundcloud.com/tracks/85298879&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&visual=true"></iframe>

If you have an iframe for the video, just click on the Special BBCODE tool window and chose the media option from the drop down. Enter the iframe link and presto. You have embedded music. :D

See below as one example

Well. Disregard the above. It is not working in posts. It looks like the iframe is being removed. I'll test a PM

, I have to retract what I stated. The PM system, like the topic/post editor, removes the embedded video as it restricts HTML being used. You can embed in a few other areas on the site (About Me, Blogs) but not in a PM. You will unfortunately need to link them only.

Seems fair enough. Thank you
