"From what I saw you around only actually got Rave back on our side. And either way he would have had no chance to beat him you there or not. Heck, even if we combined our powers we wouldn't be able to beat him. " 

 

He checked the clock. 

 

"Well, anyway. What is your course of action that is not being depressed about yourself?"

as Snowflake wanders down the street chatting with Melody he notices something "hey Melody I'm going to go check something out you should head back with Sparkle" as Snowflake parts ways with Melody he sees a shadow move into a dark alley so he follows he notices nothing unusual Snowflake then pulls out a pocket watch one one side a clock on the other a picture of him and his sister. Suddenly everything went black and it took him a few moments to realize what was going on he had a bag on his head Snowflake drops his pocket watch and it rolls away somewhere into the street "hey whats going on!?!" there was no answer Snowflake then attempts to fight back but for some reason he can't cast any spells he then loses consciousness

Rave was receiving another vision, this time of his family. His father and mother and his big brother. His mother had died of magical distress, dealing with too much dark magic. His father had married again and his half-sister Lemon Mint was born. Lemon and Rave had been the best of friends and had been very close in youth. However, Rave and Lemon had never been very close to their older brother Toasty Darkmane. The last time Rave had heard anything about his brother was that he had gone made with dark magic and was now recruiting followers to fight Celestia. That he was going to raise an army. Rave knew that was not possible, but he did worry about him. He remembered about when he first discovered dark magic. The feeling had been very good. However, another unicorn had not liked it's powers. A duel raged between the two unicorns at the Canterlot School for Gifted Unicorns. Rave nearly killed the other unicorn. Rave stood over the other unicorns who now lay on the ground. Tears formed in Rave's eyes. It was never supposed to go this far, he didn't know that dark magic could be so powerful and dangerous. Rave was immediately kicked out of the school. Having dabbled too much in dark magic, Rave forgot about the unicorn and swore revenge. He began by lighting the Royal gardens on fire using fel flames that could not be extinguished with water or any other liquid. Shining Armor had come and put out the fire and chased Rave. However, it was then that he started hearing the voice and he escaped with its help. Rave remembered the angry look on his father's face as he disowned Rave of his heritage and branded him as a traitor. But Rave saw his father as the traitor as he was not a Sombra loyalist. So Rave left his family forever. He still could remember the disappointment in his fathers eyes. 

 

Rave woke up, breathing heavily and sweating. A big dark blue unicorn with a gigantic scar running down of his right eye stepped out of the shadows. "Hello there..... little brother". "Uh oh" Rave thought.

Rave looked at his brother for the longest of time. Finally his brother broke the silence. "Got nothing to say to your elder, huh? I was hoping to get at least something". Rave thought for a moment. "You haven't actually been much around. "Been more around than you have. Ever see our sister? Visit her many times?". "No...", "Exactly what I thought. I visit her at least once a month. I also come to visit you but your never home". "I travel a lot. Searching for stuff...". "You mean dark artifacts?". Rave looked at him in surprise but said nothing. "Think I don't know you. You were always very deep with reviving Sombra. That is why I have not tried hard enough to find you. I want you to be able to work in peace. You provide me with my king, I and provide him with followers". "So how's recruiting been going? Gotten any useful ponies?". "More than useful. I've gotten ponies with powerful connections. Ponies of high status. It seems that Celestias rule is becoming somewhat of an annoyance to ponies who have ambitions". "So hows your learning in dark magic been going Toasty". The dark blue unicorn struck at Rave, however, Rave had expected it and dodged. "Don't call me that. You know very well that I have forsaken that name. It is a weak name, not worthy of Sombra. My name now is Scar Darkmane. SCAR". "You always had a big temper. Always acting before thinking". Scar looked at Rave for some time but then answered, "Well, I haven't been dealing exactly with dark magic". "Not exactly? What does that mean?". "It means I have been dabbling in other kinds of magic. To be more precise, in blood magic". Rave froze. "Bl--- bloo-- blood magic?". "Yes, blood magic, although it really doesn't have any powerful offensive spells, it does enhance one ponies strength, both physically and magically. It makes whatever spells you cast more effective, more powerful". Rave swallowed.

Rave stared at his brother in horror. "Come now, blood magic can not be any worse than dark magic?". "Every time you use blood magic, you tear a piece of your soul appart. It goes against the laws of nature". "Dark magic isn't that much different. It also goes against the laws of nature. It also shreads your soul. The only difference is that it does so slower". "Yes but there do exist creature that are born with dark magic. Creatures that cast dark magic. Which makes it part of nature. There are no magical creatures that have blood magic as a natural magical source". "I forgot how much an egghead you were". "Well one of us got into a magical school for gifted unicorns, while the other didn't" Rave said angrily. "Well, the other got to taste real life and power out in the real world" Scar replied angrily. Everything seemed tense between the two brothers, however, the tension broke as another pony stepped in. It was a pegasus.

 

"Umm, my lord? The supplies have arrived". "Lord?" Rave asked. "My "rightful" title" Scar replied. Scar turned his attention to the pink pegasus "Good, go and secure the supplies and bring them inside the castle". "So your base of operations is now inside the Castle of the Two Sisters?". "Yup". "How many ponies?". "I have 500, however, only 50 are here now since I have the others scattered all over Equestria, waiting for my sign". "Sign for what?". "To attack, however that won't happen until after years".

 

"I left a message telling Sparkle where I am. I hope they don't need anything here. I would not want them to run into my brother".

Gaurdian was happy to finally be back in manehatten he had been gone investigating some burglarys in a brand new colonial town and he was happy now to be back even if his apartment was crappy he at least had running water tv and a clean bed Guardian walked up the stairs to his apartment and opened the door when he walked in there was a note on his kitchen counter that read don't get involved under it was another note please find her it read and glued to the back of the second note was small bag containing 27 bits and a newspaper article about a pegusus mare that had gone missing the other note must have been put there later gaurdian walked back into the main room and went over to a crate he was intrigued and torn who left the notes should he investigate the missing pegusus gaurdian opened the crate and inside was an armory of wepons gaurdian used his magic to pull a 38. Special from his suitcase he placed the gun inside the crate and then opened the door to his bedroom what he found horrified him

Sparkle looked at Dark "you do relief that we need too head into the everfree forest I and trees are made from wood and wood catches fire... FIRE! IF RAVE TRULY IS IN THE CASTLE OF THE TWO SISTERS AND WE ARE IN A THUNDER STORM MEANS WE NEED TO GET TO THE FIRE DEPT ASAP! " Sparkle started running off in the direction of the fire dept...

Melody had gotten bored and started to wonder around. [Where is Snowflake?] She wondered as she began walking back to where they had been earlier. A dark alleyway is soon found. [should I go down there? No, what would Snowflake be there? Still....@] She stepped into alleyway. It was dark, and in poor condition. Paint was peeling off one of the buildings to the side of the alleyway, and what was left of the wall was covered in random doodles. Two dumpsters stood at the end of the alleyway, that lead to nowhere. She turned to leave when something caught her eye. A locket way lying on the ground, and being curious, she stepped closer. A picture of Snowflake and a mare she didn't recognize was inside the locket. She gasped. "Snowflake?! Are you here?" She waited for a response, but got nothing. She grabbed the locket, and flew towards the town. "Guys! I think Snowflake was foalnapped! Guys.....?" She looked around, and saw nopony she knew. [i guess I'll be looking for him on my own then.... where are they all?] She slowed down and began to wonder the town, not sure of what to look for.

Dark Star just got lost in what the other pony was saying, he didn't understand what was happening at all. Walking way behind the pony and just following him and allowing Sparkle to take the lead. Dark Star noticed Melody and levitated her over to Sparkle and him. 

 

"Ah, fine. You again. Part of the team I take it. Rave has been dealt with... well, he dealt with himself. Also, what is your role in the squad? Also, is Sparkle over there crazy or something? He speaks real gibberish sometimes. "

 

Dark Star was happy that he possibly found someone he could talk to.

Melodys eyes widened. "Took care of himself? I really hope you don't mean what I think you do..... So Rave is who knows where, and Snowflake is missing. Great. Role in the team? I don't know..... we don't really have roles. We all just support each other. Take turns being leader in a way. We look out for each other. We've all had our great moments on the team. It nice. Sparkle isn't insane. Well, not that insane. He's just random. Speaking of Random, Snowflake just randomly disappeared, and I have no idea where anypony is. You don't think him disappearing has anything to do with Rave, do you? It's all so strange..... we were a pretty good team, but now. Rave is messing with dark magic, Snowflake is missing, and Sparkle and I have no idea what to so. Hopefully it will get better though..... starting with finding Snowflake. Mind helping me look for him?"

Rave started to walk away from his brother. "Already gone? Well ,that was not a very long visit. We barely even got to talk to each other" "I'm going to check on the library. I once suggested to my friends when we were about to search for a book to look for it here, however, they chose to go to Canterlot instead, despite there was a more highly chance of finding an ancient book over here. I still can't believe that they chose to go to the Canterlot library instead of here, since I've been here many times, looking for artifacts and reading books. But I suppose that the Everfree forest is not for everypony". "Friends? Oh no. Don't tell me you've become one of them. Don't tell me you've fallen under the influences of Celestia" "Never. Celestia has nothing to do with it. I would never do anything for her, except end her". "Ok then. Feel free to wander around. Just don't go looking for trouble". "Oh you know me, trouble finds me" Rave grinned.

Gaurdian couldn't believe his eyes on his bed was a cat but it was dead staved to death with a kitchen knife and a note on the knife I MEAN IT it read but what horrified him was that the blood was fresh gaurdian leaned out his window which was open and down 5 stories below him was an alleyway and he saw a pony run around the corner into the busy streets an earth pony this meant two things one the white Pegasus gone missing was intentional she was probably foal napped two guardians life would be in danger from now on because the note and dead cat had convinced him to get involved

Rave wandered around the hallways of the castle until he came to the library. "Been some time since I came here, this castle is always full of secrets and surprises" he said to himself. He began searching for books to read, however, he could not stop thinking about Sombra's book. He felt like it was calling his name, as if it wanted him to read it. Rave shoke his head and started reading a book at random. He saw the book was about the hero Dawnstrider. He immediately closed the book as he knew how it would end. It would end with his death at his ancestor's hooves, Blackforest. Rave was not in the mood now to be reading anything that would include Blackforest. He felt the whispers again. Again he tried another book, but to no success. He finally gave in, he opened the pocket universe and out came the book, however, he kept Sombra's horn inside the pocket universe just for safety. He began reading, a smile creeping up his face.

"Right here we are" sparkle turned too face the others "we're going too ste..borrow one of the fire depts fire carts and hopefully find Rave and stop us from burning too death. Any questions? Good on my lead 1...2...3 " Sparkle broke a window allowing them access to the carts "right now all we need too do is find one with a full water tank" sparkle walked over to the lights and turned them on

Gaurdian had been in the library reading the news articles all the way up to a year ago that's when the disappearances had started a foalnapper that's what it was but there was nothing to go on gaurdian had no clues no evidence to find the foalnapper which he was confident existed just then he heard a shattering sound and he got up so did the librarian a in the back window was broken gaurdian cocked his head this was odd the librarian had walked away but he didn't know why as gaurdian walked out in the middle of the library there was a fire and out the front door gaurdian saw a pony no two ponies in cloaks carry the librarian to a cart and then they hauled it away but guardian wasent prepared to just let this happen he sprinted after them he was in good shape so he was faster as he was running he pulled out a 44. magnum out of his saddle bag the wepon had a scope gaurdian aimed at the left frog wheel but before he could fire one of the ponies threw their cloak into his face gaurdian tripped when he got back up the cart and the ponies were gone "blast" he said then he picked up the cloak now he had evidence

Snowflake regains consciousness, but he can't see or move. after a few moments he realized he is tied up and blindfolded. There is also another problem Snowflake realizes his cloak and mask are off and he feels very exposed, he then hears  someone coming closer "who's there?"

Rave read chapter after chapter. "So many things. So much magic. No wonder why Sombra became so powerful. This book records virtually every dark magic that exists. Not only that but it empowers me as well. It is alive, it acts as an magical artifact". Rave then stumbled up on an interesting chapter. "Dark crystals, Ooooh. Sounds interesting" Rave began reading the chapter.

Gaurdian was sitting at a diner going through the cloak and so far he had found a bandanna as he went through the last pocket there was a small slip of paper with an address on it 33510 mane st. Ponyville that must be an important place gaurdian got up and started walking towards his apartment a wagon pulled by four stallions was speeding in his direction inside a smaller stallion a unicorn gaurdian went wide eyed the unicorn had lifted a rife with his magic and aimed but gaurdian was quicker he drew his 44. and fired yes direct hit the rifle pony dropped ad the cart sped by an arrow flew out the side with a scroll on it the pony that he had shot would live he knew that he also knew that the pony wasn't one of the foalnappers they had obviously been earth ponies or pegasi and the rifle pony was a unicorn who knew maybe the foalnappers were hundreds of ponies gaurdian picked up the scroll and opened it I warned you it read gaurdian realized that all the ponies around him were looking at him he held up a card it was signed by the princesses giving him the authority of a royal gaurd not that he had met the princesses gaurdian walked back to his apartment he needed to pack

Dark Star lit up his horn and out of nowhere a fire axe materialized in front of him.

 

"Any other requests?" 

 

He really didn't understand what was happening, but he just went along until he was needed.

"Well well well looks like I succeeded in something well Snowflake welcome too my castle (well its not mine but hey the owners are dead anyway) I have them all here too bad there's no escape the bars are magic proof the ceiling is too high so no peguses can fly out and the ground don't even think about it because its made from oh what is it again? I forgot . something strong anyway I must be going I would love too chat but however I must catch more ponies for my plan" the voice finally revealed itself as a towering figure created of many different parts such as wings horns and hooves sticking out of random places in its body before using them too change into a less threating figure a earth pony about the size of Snowflake and dashing out of the door locking it shut behind him

Scar Darkmane trots around some of his elite guard. "My brother has decided to...... visit. We might expect some more company. Wherever Rave goes, trouble follows. I just received a report that Rave is no longer just wanted in Canterlot, but in all of Equestria. I heard he stole something from the library in Canterlot. Something Celestia wants back. My spy said that, she had a worried look when she was addressing her guards. Also, a relative of mine and Rave's, an ancestor to more precise has returned. It is Blackforest himself. We have a good chance now to restore Sombra's Empire and eventually.... Sombra himself. I want you to keep a close eye on Rave. It seems he and Blackforest did not end on the best of terms. He has also been acting rather strange. A little less.... evil. Sour Wrap?" "Yes my lord?". "I want you to take twenty ponies to watch the main entrance. Happy? I want you to take ten ponies and guard the back entrance. And Nightmane Darkseeker?". A batpony materialized out of the darkness. "You called, my lord?". "I want you to watch my brother. If he does something stupid... you'll know what to do". "I shall not fail, my lord" the batpony flew through the corridors.

The foalnapper still descuised as an earth pony was running through too ponyvill squrting tomato ketchup on his face to give the impression of blood. He slowly stumbled into town and lay at a ponies hooves "p..lease s..sir I ne...ed help we're und...er attack (its all going precisely as planned)" the other pony looked at him "alright I'll help which way?"

"T..t...too the north"

"Right lets go"

The two set off to the northern lands

"P..lease enter" the foal napper opened the door

"Hmm there's no problem here"

The foal napper changed back to his original form

"Hello there"

He smoothly knocked out the smaler pony and put him inside of Snowflake's cell

He then walked over too lucky sugar and took her down into the basement

"Its almost time but I still need a few more"

He then threw her into another cell and locked the door before falling asleep leaving the other cell door swinging free on its hinges
