"I would say that I could try and bend the water out of the sand but I don't have enough confidence in my abilities to do so." Vi said simply and watched him place a lot of statues around his bed. She noticed that there was a crude statue of Wa Shi Tong, the librarian of the mythical Vanishing Library. Another piece she recognised was the Earth Nation symbol but there were plenty of others she didn't recognise. "You have a lot of statues. Did you and your dad make them by hand?" Vi asked, getting up and making to stay a fair distance away, lest she knocked some of them over.

Sha looked up at her and began to say something but then stopped. "I'll ... deal with the sand later. You don't have do anything on my part." He fished out a couple other homely things, like a personal blanket, a pillow, other such items, before returning her question. "Yeah, me and my dad made all of this stuff. This one," he points out the Wa Shi Tong statue, "I did for a school project to go along with a report I had to do on Wa Shi Tong's Library. The one Avatar Aang visited on his journey. It was -- well we lived on the edge of the desert so we were close to where it used to be."

"Okaay, I was just being helpful." Vi said matter-of-factly and moved a bit closer to the statues. She gingerly picked up the Wan Shi Tong statue and inspected it from all angles before placing it safely back. "It's not a bad statue even if it is crude." Vi said critically and moved back to her bed, unpacking her backpack that she had beside her suitcase. Out of it she pulled a flute filled with ordinary tap water as well as a pillow and some other personal effects. "The principal said that the dorms were designed to help students bend all four elements. I wonder if that also included sub forms including sandbending." Vi spoke out loud.

After there had been no more words between them for a while, Yuji decided he ought to try and make conversation, or at least to say something. "So... I got here late and missed the big speech in the auditorium. What did they talk about? Anything important I should know?"

Sha suddenly looked like he had made a huge mistake. "No, it's -- it's my mess you shouldn't have to clean up after me..." Then as she looks at his statues, Sha feels even lower. 'Well, I -- they're not exactly professional..." Sha sits on his bed as Vi attends to her luggage and fiddles with some of his figurines. Sha looks around when she asks her question and sighs. "I don't know if there is any sand in the dorms. Maybe if we had a cat..."

Sanuye took a little while to catch on and figure out how exactly to move her hands, but after some time, she seemed to be getting it.  
"Yeah," she answered when Tehret asked if he was making sense. "I'm just obviously not a natural at this. Still, I think that even if I can't figure out how to sign properly myself, what's most important is that I can understand Aonani."
Aonani, who had moved to sit near Tehret while he taught, smiled.  [You're doing well,] she signed to Sanuye, who stared at her for a moment, then caught on.

Tehret saw Aonani signing and nodded. "You really are. And we're probably just about the only people in the whole school who can use sign language. That's something to be proud of, I think. And having our own secret language might be kind of fun, too." He yawned- they'd been studying for a while and by now it was starting to get pretty late, at least for him. "Anyway, I think we should probably call it a night." After a moment of silence, he blushed slightly. "If you guys need to change before bed or anything, I can just wait outside, I guess. Um... you two don't have any problem sleeping with a boy in the room, do you? I don't... um... I promise I won't... you know, try anything."

Yawning slightly, Mah covered her mouth and stepped to the microphone. She pressed the button underneath it to transmit her voice to the entire school. "Lights out in five. Hope everyone gets rested enough for tomorrow." Mah said and stepped back from the microphone to go into her room.

Vi looked up from her luggage and turned her head towards Sha. "Cats? What do they have to with sandbending?" Vi asked curiously. She looked up at the previously unseen speaker in the corner and frowned slightly. "Bed time already?" Vi wondered and placed her stuff underneath her bed. She looked at the pyjamas resting on her bed and wondered where she could change in privacy.

Zoho landed outside the academy just moments before Mah's voice could be heard over the speakers.
"Just in time." he said to himself, as he took a bit off of a carrot he had in his hand, and entered the building.

With a big yawn and a stretch, he begun making his way towards his teacher dorm, and entered.

Inside, he simply lied down onto his simple bed, and fell asleep.

Sha chuckled a bit. "Old cheap cat litter is made out of sand." He nearly jumped at the announcement, but when she was finished he sighed and laid back on his bed, his feet still hanging off the edge on the floor. "Bed sounds great..." after a brief moment he looked over and noticed Vi eyeing her pajamas and shot up. "Oh, sorry, I'll just, I'll wait outside... I should find the -uh bathroom anyway." He quickly grabbed one of the over-the-shoulder bags full of clothes and just about ran out the door.

Vi simply raised an eyebrow at Sha's embarrassment and simply shrugged. Once Sha practically ran out the door, Vi immediately changed into pyjanas. They were light blue with a long sleeved, button-up shirt and pants. She stowed her day clothes in her backpack and pushed it under the bed. Satisfied with that done, she walked around thoom for a bit before spotting a stream of water that seemed to cascade endlessly into a drain in the floor next to the window. "Found the water element. I'm guessing that earth is the walls, fire are torches hanging above the beds? No idea what the air element is though so that's gotta something ..." Vi mumbled to herself confusedly as she sat back down on her bed.

Sha fumbled around and finally changed clothes in the bathroom. He sighs in the mirror, "Way to go Sha... looks like you made a fool of yourself before you even show how terrible you are at bending." Before returning to the bedroom and slumping on the bed. "Uh, well... Goodnight Vi..." he tossed around and faced away from Vi and closed his eyes.

Vi watched Sha rush into bed and quickly say good night to her. "Uum. Good night then." Vi said slowly and laid down in bed, pulling the sheet over herself.

 

TIME SKIP TO NEXT MORNING

Mah woke up, yawned and headed to the PA microphone. Taking a deep breath, she steeled herself and yelled as loudly ash could into the microphone. "UP AND AT EM! Morning bending students!" Mah gave a slight laugh before shutting the mic off and heading back into her room to change.

Aonani and Sanuye:
~ The Night Before  ~

Sanuye and Aonani had both smiled at Tehret, telling him in their respective ways that they weren't worried about him doing anything, then went to the washrooms to brush their teeth and change in the stalls.
They returned just in time for lights out, and went to bed after saying a quick goodnight.

~ Morning ~

The next morning, Aonani awoke fairly early and quietly got out of bed, careful to make no sounds in case her roommates were sleeping. 
Then, the announcement went off, surprising her.  She looked at Sanuye, who was rubbing her eyes.
"Man, I'm gonna need to know sign language, if the wake-up calls are that loud every day,"  the redhead grumbled as she reluctantly got out of bed.

~ The Night Before ~

Mizuko had given Yuji a friendly smile and gone to her bed to start unpacking, After a few moments of silence, he asked about the assembly. She gave him a basic run-down of what the principal had said, and just as she finished, a woman's voice came on the PA to tell them that it was almost lights out. She grabbed her pajamas, got changed in the washroom, then went back and headed straight for bed.

~ Morning ~

Mizuko awoke to a shout from the PA system. She sat up, but stayed there. She didn't want to properly get up until she was fully awake.

"Mornin'," she said, her voice heavy with drowsiness. She didn't even look to see if Yuji was awake; she just assumed he was, given the abrupt wake-up call.

Sha hardly moved at the yelling and only barely opened his eyes and took a quick look and almost laid back to sleep, but he convinced himself to sit up and he yawned. He glanced around the room and found Vi in her bed. He snapped at of his stupor and got out of bed and stretched. "First day huh..." He mumbled before reaching for his clothes.

Tehret's mind remained on things that made him blush for quite a while, much as he tried to think about something else. Eventually however, he drifted off to sleep, excited for whatever the future may hold for him here.

 

...The announcement shocked Tehret out of his slumber and caused him to go tumbling off of his bed. He slowly got up, rubbing his head, and sighed. Getting up early was just one of the downsides of going to a school like this, he supposed. Seeing the other two awake- and not nearly as unsettled as he had been- he smiled. "Good morning, I guess."

Yuji grunted something that may have resembled some sort of a greeting. It took him another couple of minutes before he actually appeared to really be awake. Once he did, though, memories from the previous night stirred something in him he hadn't felt in a while. Something that they apparently mentioned at the assembly. Agni Kai. A traditional fire duel. Exactly the kind of challenge he wanted to rise to, to prove himself to these people. Suddenly in a pretty good mood, he smiled slightly and looked over at his roommate. "Morning."

Saito Kobayashi had already been awake when the announcement came. He was always early to rise. The announcement did, however, remind him that he was supposed to have a duel today, and he decided to do a bit of warming up while he had time.

Vi sat bolt upright at the morning call. She couldn't remember the last time she had been called out of bed. She looked over as Sha reached for his clothes and blinked slowly. "Morning, Sha. I'll go and change in bathroom this time." Vi said autonomously, still waking up slowly. She grabbed her day clothes out of her suitcase, headed out the door, and walked slowly to the bathrooms. They were mentioned briefly on the tour and she hoped she remembered where they were.

Sha got up still a little drowsy and started rummaging through his clothes until he found something to wear that didn't look wrinkled beyond the use of an iron. Today he wore colors of the desert, a light brown sleeveless shirt and pants with an earthy brown belt and boots. Of course he only owned one pair of boots and belt, but at least it went with the outfit. Afterwards he stretched his arms and legs and went outside to see if Vi had come back from the bathroom yet.

Zhi Tun woke up with a frazzled mustache and messy hair. "I told Mah not to do that. She probably couldn't resist." Zhi mmbled to himself and quickly ģot changed. "The Agni Kai is today. Let's just hope that none of the students kill each other." Zhi added to himself and stepped out into the halway so that he could walk around the halls for a bit.

Vi found the bathroom and quickly changed in one of the stalls. She changed into a white coloured dress styled in the Southern Water Tribe fashion. She wore black leggings underneath with light blue sneakers. After having changed, she picked up her clothes and walked with them back to the dorm. When she got there, she saw that Sha was already outside. "Looks like you're awake. Why you outside?" Vi questioned as she opened the door to the dorm. She quickly put back her pyjamas and went outside to hear the answer.

Sha shrugs. "Just didn't want to sit around doing nothing. I was hoping someone else would walk by, maybe get to know some of the other students..." He said scratching his hair. "And well..." He pauses as she goes back in and follows her in. "I ... just don't want to get lost..."

Sanuye looked over at Tehret's bed, and smirked as she saw he was on the ground. 
"Good morning to you too,' she said, holding the smirk. "I see you heard the wake-up call."
Aonani's shoulders shook slightly, a silent giggle. She smiled as she signed a greeting to both of her roommates, then walked over and offered a hand to Tehret.

Mizuko didn't really notice Yuji's slight change in mood, still groggy herself. Even so, she slipped out of bed and grabbed her clothes.
"i'll go use the washroom to change again," she said, smiling at him as she headed out the door.

Obviously embarrassed, Tehret gratefully took Aonani's hand and stood up. "Thanks. I'll go change in the bathroom today. Makes more sense when there's one of me and two of you." He grabbed a change of clothes and headed into the bathroom, stopping and turning back before he did. "Although, if you guys want to use the shower first, that's fine, I guess."

Yuji nodded, although a small part of his brain briefly touched on the notion that he certainly wouldn't have minded if she changed right there. "Right. I'll... be in here, I guess."

((Totally forgot to react to your offer. A PM system might be good, but as my schedule should hopefully be clearing up next week (and I'm on vacation now) I should be more active in this RP.))
Sanuye waved her hand to dismiss the thought. 
"Nah, go ahead," she said, grabbing her own change of clothes, and the bandages to wrap on her arms. "I shower at night, anyway. Try wearing bandages over wet skin. Not a nice feeling."
Aonani nodded, signing to Tehret that he could go ahead.

((Alright. If it seems like you haven't responded in a long time, I'll shoot you a message. I totally understand that you sometimes forget and I have no problem helping you remember.))

 

Tehret smiled and went into the bathroom. As he took a quick shower and changed, he thought about how lucky he was to have ended up with such fantastic roommates. Never mind the fact that they were two very pretty girls, he was just happy to have friendly people he could talk to. Although they were very pretty girls.

 

When he was finished getting dressed, he hesitated to go back out. They were changing right now too, weren't they? Was it safe for him to come out? Figuring he couldn't just stand there all morning, he opened the door.

Yuji changed pretty quickly. It's not like he had a lot of clothes to choose from, or would have really bothered to put much time or effort into it even if he did.

"You could have still waited out there you know. I was just putting my clothes away." Vi said and stretched. "Right. Today is the first day of classes but I don't think we got timetables ..." Vi said as she looked around the room. She walked over to Sha's sand slush and found that it was slightly. "This is taking a while to dry." Vi commented.
