technology Which Projector Tech is best for gaming purposes?

It's pretty hard to find a reliable source throughout the rest of the internet. So I would like you my fellow Bronies to explain to me (based on facts and your experiences) how and why which projector tech is the best for gaming purposes?

 

Particularly which tech and even which models are based on the different tech are best for gaming?

 

Because I tried out using the Epson EX6220 (LCD) projector a while ago for gaming and I noticed that there was a lot of input lag even with the Image Processing switched to "Fast".

 

Here is the list of the Projector Tech types there is:

 

- DLP (Digital Light Processing)

 

- LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), aka, 3LCD

 

- LCoS (Liquid Crystal on Silicon)

An LED/LCD. As far as I'm aware, projectors just aren't... y'know... designed for gaming.

For TVs LED/LCD is great. However, I have came to the conclusion that projectors are the kings of display technology. The fact that you can project an image 2-4x larger than a 32 - 48 inches is mind-blowingly awesome (because I would also like to have a mini home theater setup someday)!

 

I have heard that DLP projectors produce the least amount of input lag when it comes to PC/console gaming compared to the other tech types, LCD (3LCD) and LCoS.

 

DLP is my best bet (because of its known longevity compared to the other projector tech)  , but I am still a bit skeptical.  :okiedokielokie:

Make sure it can pull 60 fps. I made that mistake with an assignment and it looked awful.

Projectors in general are supposed to pull off 60 fps easily.

 

I'm just concerned as to which type of projector tech (even which specific projector models) produces the least amount of input lag as possible.
