Midnight blinked, frowning. "Dammit... How in the hell am I suppose to 'defeat' you when you keep using cheap tactics?! No other pony has powers like you, so it's pointless for me to try and beat you! I'm taking a break!" she screamed, throwing down her blade and flying off towards the healing pond. This new Midnight she was turned into had a temper like no other. She wasn't afraid to speak her mind, and wasn't afraid to tell anypony off. She landed in the middle of the pond, letting herself sink in and calm down.

 

Luna glared at Crystal. "Do not take us for a fool. you may have gotten out of that prison on your own, but without the help of us, you would perish on the way to Canterlot. Do not lie to us again," she said coldly, turning around and angrily walking back up to Leif. She could not stand a liar. Not one bit.

Grell rose Up from the ashes and brushed himself off he flasj stepped to the healing pond "those cheap tricks are Things only I can do so if you can at least match me while I'm doing those other ponies won't be a problem midnight I thought you'd be able to see that for yourself" grell said "but since it's pointless grab you stuff we're going back"

 

Leif looked to crystal "we will talk later about that book since you want to lie and kids the fact you have it" Leif said

Novel begins to gather her books and resources. She will need all she can take back to the castle for her studies and trainings. Novel kept glancing at one ordinary shelf, before looking back at Steel and Lunar as if waiting for the two to leave before going to that shelf.

Steel raised an eyebrow "secrets kill trust with out trust there is no team or unit" steel said before looming to lunar he looked over his shoulder "with out trust we won't win let that sink in" he turned back to lunar "yes I'm ready to go" steel said strecthing his wings

Crystal felt so... empty. This feeling caused his crystal pelt lost it shine and sparkle. Of course he tried to hide it, but his race seemed very sensitive at nearly everything that could make them gloomy. However, now that he was gloomy, his memories of all the times he was sad was revealing and playing over and over again in his mind, making him the saddest pony in the world. But with all this sadness on his mind, it made him not remember anything, only just endless walking, but he didn't know where he was going. Perhaps when he gets to whatever he's heading, he'll be happy, possibly. But all the sadness was the only thing weighing him down, so he walked very, very, slowly.

Night says, "I wish you luck. I personally am in this as a counter to Sombra's useage of dark magic."

 

He closes his eyes and begins to meditate while listening for the others.

 

Aurora continues her meditation while awaiting her mother Luna's return or Celestia's arrival.

Midnight bobbed back up out of the water, swimming over to him. She sighed. "Sorry I blew up. I just don't understand this. I'm stronger and faster and brave. I don't understand why I have to try to beat you. I don't like getting mad at you. I love you, and it kills me that I have to try and hurt you..." she admitted, nuzzling his hoof lightly.

 

Luna sighed, walking in silence.

 

Lunar smiled, glancing at Novel. She sighed, walking out.

 

Seth blinked, noticing Novel was hiding something. He'd ask once they left.

Chronos finished his note, blew on the ink to dry it and folded it up and put it away with the photo. He then teleported the inkwell and quill back to the room he got them from. He then stood up and looked at the flowers in the courtyard. He turned around and went back into the castle, He stood in one of the hallways. He walked down the hall, To a normal pony these halls were just examples of the best Equestrian architecture has to offer, but to him... every hall had a story, every single one brought back a memory. He had probably seen every room, every hall, every inch of the castle. He walked down the hall, looking at the walls.

Crystal figured he had to look at the book now, it owed him his happiness. He pulled it out of the bag, looking up curiously studying the ponies in front of him. Of course, he barely had a clue who they were, he turned his eyes back onto the book. Something seemed off about it, and something in his mind told him not to read it, however it wasn't exactly crystal clear yet. "What could be so bad about a book..?" he wondered, looking at it. It had no title, perhaps that was what was making it odd. Crystal was about to open it, then the crystals on the corners jabbed his hoof. "Ouch!" he called out, with hardly much expression. He took a look at his hoof, however it seemed like it didn't cut his hoof... but he did notice a dot of a darkish purple on it. "Weird." He ignored it, of course he had a lot on his mind. Crystal picked up the book and put it back into his bag, returning to his goomly self.

Novel sighs and looks at the shelf "I know you will keep this safe" she says, as she goes over to the shelf and moves a series of books in a complicated pattern. The shelves moved away to reveal a passage in the wall. She looked at Seth to follow and she goes inside "Its been ages since I have been in here" she comments, going into her very private study.

Steel hard already left the. Room with lunar but had also left a little item it was a very small crystal spider that was transmitting everything to his mind he normally used them to tail targets but he was curious as to what novel was bidding

 

Leif kept playing the music and began to cast a spell as a raven landed on his shoulder Luna's head glowed with a green aura

 

Grell nodded "I know midnight but like I said if you can at least match me there won't be many you can't beat"

Midnight sighed. "Am I at least matching you?" she asked, looking defeated. She just wanted to go home. Back to her bed. Back to sleeping regularly.

 

Luna blinked, noticing the aura. She looked at Leif, puzzled.

 

Lunar was following Steel, humming a little tune.

 

Seth blinked, walking in behind her. "What is this place??"

Crystal sighed, looking at his purple cut on his hoof. He should possibly rest it, soon possibly. He looked at the ponies who were cheerfully following the two in front of the group. He however, stood out due to his bright crystal colours turned dark. "Are we there yet?" he asked, with no expression, only with a hint of clueless.

Leif looked back "about half way" Leif replied to crystal a raven landed on leifs shoulder and cawed at him then looked at Luna all the other ponies heard was cawing but Luna heard it speak "master has given you a gift he's letting you hear us and understand what we say watch that crystal pony his innocent but dense it seems"

 

Grell nodded "your very close to beating me midnight" grell said

 

Steel was walking slowly directing the crystal spider to follow novel and stay in ear shot

"Okay..." Crystal wondered if he would return to his happy self soon, so he could match the other ponies and it could most likely return to his original memory, and get his thoughts off his wound. He sighed, right now his life seemed pointless, just endless walking.

Luna blinked, nodding. She trotted back over to Crystal. "Sorry for going off like that. We just don't like being lied to. We hope you aren't upset," she said, smiling and ruffling his mane. -Better stay on good terms with this pony until we know what exactly that book is...- she thought.

 

Midnight groaned, diving back into the water. She swam backwards, then flipped over and swam back towards Grell. "I just want to go home... I'm tired of all this... I can't sleep and I haven't ate anything but apples for weeks... But I have to stay here until I can apparently 'match' you, right...?" she asked, looking utterly drained and defeated. Anypony could tell she was ready to go back.

 

Lunar entwined her wing in his as if they were "holding hands", smiling. She nuzzled him, staying close to him.

Crystal's pelt lit up, showing that he was in a positive mood again. "It's okay.. Us crystal ponies are sensitive, and we show our true emotions. It's weird, but it powers the crystal heart if we share our positive feeling and memories, it's one of our only defences againest dark creatures filled with hate, like Sombra, however he hid the heart so we were unable to protect ourselves."

Novel sighs "my most sacred books. And my personal journals on everything from battle to herbs. I keep them hidden due to where they come from, age, or value of knowledge. I also keep my alchemy workshop in here and all of my potions and herbs of value" novel says softly to Seth.

Luna sighed. "We'll get your empire back. Don't you worry," she said, smiling softly. She nuzzled him comfortingly.

 

Seth blinked, looking around. "There's so many books... How far back do these books go? Like, how old are they?" he asked, his hoof lightly tracing down a line of books.

Night and Aurora come out of their meditations. Night asks one of the guards, "Is Lady Celestia or Mother Luna back yet?"

 

Aurora is nearby wondering and worrying about mother Luna. She polishes moonlight as she thinks. Moonshadow glows darkly. "I know, midnight. She has been gone a long time. I worry about her too."

Grell nuzzled her "we can go back now if you want since you've made vast improvements and you're look beat" grell said he was kinda looking forward to leaving so she could mess with Her

The guard looked at Night, nodding. "Princess Celestia has just returned, and Princess Luna will be arriving back as soon as she is done with a mission she had to do. Princess Celestia is in her study if you need her. Would you like me to escort you there?"

 

Celestia was in her room, reading over all the books Novel gave her. "Wow... I had no idea one pony could have this much information on the Crystal Empire... True, most of it is stuff we already know, but these passageways... Not to mention a reference guide on how Sombra trains his army..." she mused, hoofing through the pages.

 

Lunar yawned, keeping their wings entwined. "So, what do you want to do when we get back to the castle?"

 

Midnight nodded, getting out of the spring. Her coat was glistening with water. "I'm so looking forward to a full night's rest again," she said, stretching out her wings.

Chronos had returned to the room he had slept in and was laying on the bed. He was back to writing on the parchment. He was righting the note... just in case, things go bad at the Crystal Empire. His helmet was on the night stand and his sword was leaning against the wall. The door was opened slightly. Since it was only a small force against the entire Crystal guard, he was genuinely scared, He wouldn't have an army fighting beside him, just a small group. They were barely fit for guard duty, especially since one has ran off to train with... what ever Grell was and another was basically kicked out of the group.

Flux roamed around the castle, nicking all the candles that had the unfortunate fate of being seen by her. She had lit them in a jar and held them in the air with magic. The wax was turning into liquid, as she had wanted them to. She filtered off anything she didn't want and had the rest swirling around. She made a makeshift wick and happily carried her new jar of solution off outside to be tested. Naturally, it exploded and sent shards of sharp glass into every direction. She felt giddy. From both her new discovery and the blood leaving her from the numerous cuts she had gotten. Hyped up with adrenaline, she dashed off to find Princess Celestia while screaming 'I made a liquid explosive!' like a maniac.
