Midnight mumbled something in her sleep, shifting.

 

Lunar blushed, kissing him back.

 

Celestia giggled, nodding. "Alright. Well, you two go check on Jr. I will be in my study when you return," she said, standing up.

 

Seth blinked, nodding. "I'll be back shortly, sweetheart." He kissed her real quick then opened his wings, flying out.

Leif nodded "yes but we need to be fast he's at a labor camp and let's just say ponies there don't tend to live for very long and he's been there a while" Leif said taking the flowers and preserving them and shrinking them using his magic to put them in a flower bed

Steel went back to work

Grell was sleeping

Aurora continued her training. She seems to be straining to keep her current hubris form.

 

As she is training and shadow covers the training field. "How many times have we worked on that form before, my student of the night?"

 

A dark blue unicorn with a silver mane and tail comes out of the shadow s. Even Luna and Celestia can detect the presence of strong shadow magic.

Crystal Shade was lead up to a huge line up of Crystal ponies. It seemed impossible to escape, with his chains, guards at every direction, and the armory was located inside the castle. He wondered if anyone could come to their rescue soon, he looked up at the top of the Crystal castle, where Sombra always watched his slaves enter the mines, however this time he wasn't there. Crystal knew this was an excellent time to make a escape attempt, and head away from the castle, he was sure the other crystal ponies were aware of this, but he wondered how he could get every crystal pony away from the castle, they would have such limited time.

Luna nodded. She used her magic to turn herself into a unicorn; she had a blue coat and a raven black mane. Her cutie mark changed into a crescent moon and stars. She looked at Lief with piercing gold eyes. "Think this'll fool him?" she asked, smiling.

 

Lunar stood up, stretching out.

 

Midnight's tail flicked, one of her wings going around Grell.

 

Celestia blinked, noticing the new presence in the air. She quickly walked out the dining room and towards the new pony's whereabouts.

Leif nodded " alright Luna lets go free this pony" Leif said opening the door and walking past a rather large group of ponies " I shall return go inside and rest you are safe in there " Leif said

 

Steel kept working he finished several books at the same time putting them In a stack

Grell stood his scythe drawn he was sweating and panting he looked at midnight pride in his eyes

Luna nodded, following him. She ignored all the looks she got from the ponies. -I hope he doesn't detect my aura...- she thought.

 

Lunar looked around. "Where's Novel?" she asked, blinking.

 

Midnight smirked, landing. She had hardly broken a sweat. "So, when am I getting out of this hellhole?" she asked, her blade still drawn and ready to attack.

Grell smirked *whdn you can land a fatal blow" grell said he had been dodging and blocking all of her attacks and he had just got done Ruth a twenty mile gallop he hadn't planned on testing her but she was egear to prove herself

Leif looked at Luna "one more thing" Leif said tucking s flower behind Luna's ear and whispering "this drains magic it'll take a lot but you'll have enoughto do what you need this way he can't detect your aura"

Steel looked at her "the study" steel said

Midnight smirked. "Easy enough." She flash stepped at lightening speed towards him, then flew up before he could detect it. She bolted down, landing her blade deep into his spine.

 

Luna blinked, noticing the flower. "O-oh... Alright..." she said, blushing a little as she looked away.

 

Lunar nodded. "I'm gonna go walk around. See if I can find any non historical books," she said, giving him a quick peck on the cheek. She opened her mouth to say something, but stopped herself, sighing. -I can't say it yet... He'll think I'm a creep...- she thought. "Be back in a sec."

Crystal couldn't wait any longer as he saw the start of the line beginning to head inside the mines. He could only trot with his chains, it would be impossible to get away with any other crystal ponies, it would have to be everypony for themselves. He saw a guard beginning to walk by him. Noticing the keys that could break off his chains on his belt, he swiftly grabbed the keys with his teeth and began unlocking his chains. Once all of his hooves were free, he began making a run for it. "Stop right there!" Surely enough, there was a guard chasing him. Crystal's hooves screamed in soreness with every step, but it would all be worth it once he escapes. Soon, the guard turned around and headed back to the castle to grab more guards to look for him later. Crystal was screaming in utter joy.... until he tripped, and rolled down a hill and rolled into a small forest.

Grells body crumbled into ash and he was standing ten feet away "nice try midnight but it won't be that easy" grell said with a smirk

 

Leif smiled "how fast can you run " Leif asked he needed to know so he would know how fast he should run

 

Steel nodded and kissed her cheek while reading

When the princess comes to the location of the new presence, She sees a Unicorn with Aurora and it looks as if he is training her. "Come on, these are the weakest shadows that the void king has granted to me, his general. I know you can beat them. I shouldn't have stopped your training."

 

Aurora was battling three shadows. He glances towards Celestia before saying. "Hello aunty Celestia. How is mother Luna?"

Celestia blinked. "Hault! Who are you and why are you attacking one of our soldiers?" she demands, glaring at the new pony. She did not like him at all.

Novel wastes no time in beginning to read through the new books. She was giggling like a filly at the new knowledge. Star Quill had kept amazingly detailed records of the Crystal Empire and what was going on during Sombra's reign. Her brother, the scholar. She smiles at the thought and then glances at the new books. One she knew, detailed records of the kingdom before Sombra and the other... She gasps. No. Sombra's archives of the castle. She hurriedly puts a protective spell over the book, not allowing for it to be traced.

"I am Night Flare. Child of the night And general of Void's army. After my student left to help you and mother, I requested to also join. Aurora still is learning and I intend to make her strong before long. I am not attacking her. I am training her."

 

Aurora continues to fight and is smiling while doing so.

Celestia sighs, still slightly glaring. "Luna is out on a small mission right now. She will not be back for at least a day or two. You can come back and discuss it with her then," she said simply, not letting her guard down.

 

Seth trotted up to the castle, noticing Celestia outside. He smiled, trotting over to her. "Princess!"

Crystal groaned in pain, then he looked up. "I'mm... FREE!" He cheered and did a victory jump. Then he stopped his celebration once he realized he had no food and water, and nearby towns were far away. At his current state, it would take him days to reach it. Crystal sat down by a rock, starting to sob. His only way of survival was to go back to the empire. "I really should have thought this through." He sniffed, and went back to crying. "I don't want to be a slave again!!" He whined.

"I see...Mother must be doing something important. I will continue to train my student." He looks a bit emotionless with how he seems to perceive the world. However, Celestia can tell he is happy about how far Aurora has come.

 

Aurora finishes off the last shadow. Aurora asks, "Lady Celestia, He is far strogner then any of us guardians. He also has the blessing of the void king."

 

Night says, "I will honor her words, Aurora. I will await mother's return. There is also much to tell her."

Celestia sighed. "He can take shelter in the castle until she returns." She then looked at Seth, smiling. "What is it, Seth?"

 

Seth stopped, panting a little. "Novel needs one of you at her house immediately. Her brother sent her new material that she needs to show you."

 

Celestia blinked. "Alright. Lead the way."

Crystal got up, and began heading out of the forest, once he noticed the sun's position, he became more worried about time then anything. Canterlot was south from his position. He looked far, he could notice the slight castle outlines. Maybe he could ask the princesses if he could take out a troop to rescue the crystal ponies he left behind. He sighed as he began to walk south. Perhaps he would run into kind folks who have a carriage, but that would only be a matter of luck. He began speed walking, trying to get there faster.

He nods and Aurora continues her training. He summons some shades for her to face and Aurora losses access to her combined eclipse form. "Now try it without your twin's help."

 

Aurora nods and does her best. She is fighting with her twin blade style. She is swift and it seems she is also not holding anything back.

Leif nodded "then follow we havent got much" time leif said casting a spell his form changed and he looked apart like a green Cheetah "let's go" Leif said taking off running at incredibly high speeds

Grell starred blocking the her attacks he used his scythe and caught her blade slamming it to the ground

Midnight quickly reacted, rearing up and kicking him in the face. She then quickly removed her blade and whacked him upside the head with it.

 

Luna blinked, following. She skidded to a stop, seeing a figure walking towards them.

 

Celestia left, following Seth.

 

Seth walked back towards Novel's home.

Chronos left the castle, not looking back to see that Flair was with him. He just kept looking forward, walking, and not talking. He still didn't like having to be escorted, especially being escorted by a part of the royal family. It should be the other way around.

Leif had run right up to the pony and stopped easily his form switching back to his normal pony form he looked at the pony and pulled out his scroll "are you crystal shade" leif asked

 

Grell took the hit and fliped back standing in a defensive position
