A Message From the Palace! A New Brony Has Arrived!

Hello bronies, some of you might already know me, but I doubt it, but for my forum activity, I was heavily known just as "Ness" on forums in RS2006/RS2007/2006Scape from June 2011 to July 2012. I am a HUGE fan of Runescape (been playing it since April 2004, and quit RS3 and still play Old School Runescape which is a 2007 version of the game). Here is a little history of how I felt as the game progressed (NOTE: This was written BEFORE Old School Runescape was a thing):

 

HISTORY OF MY RUNESCAPE EXPERIENCE FROM 2004-2012

 

 

2004(The New Beginning): Account was Ness432, I was a lvl 3 noob and I had no idea what I was doing, as I kept dying from level 7 dark wizards in Draynor Village , After a few months, got up to level 42, and gained slight knowledge of the free places in the game, but then, then got hacked

2005(Wonderful Times): Account was Ness520, made on February 2005, and I knew more about the game thanks to stuff like Rune HQ, made some new friends, and started working on something besides combat, such as fishing and cooking for the most part , which helped me convince myself to get membership

2006(Too Good to Be True): Best year IMO, this is because of the fact that there were so many new places to explore in the new member's world area! Made many more friends, found better ways to train stuff, and a lot of of other things. Unfortunately, at least until the end of the year, when the game started to change Like when all of the enemies started to change, and the places getting graphically updated (I don't like it when something I've grown up with gets changed all of a sudden, and I never knew when to expect it because I never knew about the News Posts )

2007(The Beginning to Displeasure): Still played, it was O.K., not the best year, but it was still tolerable. More enemies being updated made me angry, but at least the humans were still outdated!

2008(The Unexpected): Boy was I in for a surprise Because I didn't read about updates, I was unexpected for the inevitable, the Wilderness and Free trade to be taken away I wasn't really a pker, but I loved how my many memories and lessons learned came from there, since I got lured and scammed from both of those, but I actually didn't mind, because they taught me a valuable lesson, and never got scammed again!

The second worst part of the year was the graphical update. This tore my heart, for many reasons, but the most, was because of the game experiencing competition with others. The main reason why I loved this game was because of it's originality, the fact that the game didn't need improved graphics to be fun! Ever since however, the game kept going down, and down, until it reached the absolute bottom.

2009-2010(The Final Decision) : I couldn't take the game anymore, it was changing way too much for me, as I quit on August 4th, 2010. I'm glad I quit, as I actually found better places to spend my free time.

Present (Runescape is a Failure)- From what I see on the homepage, it's not that great, as people are complaining about the botting issues, the terrible economy, and most important, the community.

2012(?)- I predict that there will be 20-25% more bots next year, and that Runescape will lose all of it's legit players later within the year, due to them not really being able to communicate among each other, since you can't really talk to bots. It's sad to see Jagex lose care in their game, because they used to understand and have great concern for their players.

Anyway, back on track! Back in June 2011 when I was getting sick of the changes it was going through, I was introduced to a Runescape Private Server by the name of RS2007 (the idea originally came about since April 2011, but launched in June). I was so excited to be apart of this new remake of the glory days, and when Alpha was released on July 25, 2011, it turned out to be so buggy that the scripter Mod Vault/Mod Nick wanted to switch to a 2006 server (since it was a lot easier to work with). I was Active on that forum for the longest of time, and after a few months, I got to become a Forum Moderator on November 6, 2011.

In the middle of all of this, on September 22, 2011, I was on the forums looking for a clan to join for when the game came out, and I noticed that there was one called "The Brony Alliance", with it had the first two episodes for anyone to watch from Youtube (before Hasbro had a big deal with MLP episodes being on Youtube). I was skeptical at first, but I gave it a shot, as you can tell, I was hooked and stayed up until 1 AM some school nights watching the whole first season, with me waiting for more by Lesson Zero I felt completely embarrased/ashamed for liking it for a week and finally told someone (friends and family), and they didn't care, so I didn't care and expressed myself freely about it for the last couple years with much ease! ^^

Anyway, I met a lot of friends in the clan in which I stlll hang out with and watch episodes with when they come out, and in the end for RS2006/2006scape (2006scape by May 4, 2012). When the 2006 version was switched over to Pre-Alpha, I changed my status from Forum Mod to Player Mod, and I got demoted about a week after that. So all and all, I was a forum mod for RS2006 from November 6, 2011 to July 10, 2012. I had learned a lot and experienced so many things in that website, and it all came to an unfortunate end when it turned out to be a scam, because by January 2nd, 2013, the site was taken down, leaving only but a memory from those who were apart of a once in a lifetime experience.

I've documented as much as possible from what I did/events that occurred since the very beginning of the story. Even though it all turned out to be a scam (with me donating over $200 to the cause), I am glad to have done it, otherwise I wouldn't be where I am today......here starting over and trying my best to make as much of an influence as I did back in RS2006/2006scape.

Sorry this was so long, but I just felt like typing a lot (have a lot of time on my hand-er.....hooves..... ). If you read through all of this and understood what I was even talking about, I give props to you!

Ah, a fellow Runescapian eh? I played for 8 years and retired 3 years ago, had 12 99 skills so I got bored and stopped playing. Since the original developers of RS moved on and a new one took it's place, it hasn't been the same, mostly clustered in stuff. I also played 07Scape but still I haven't been on for a long time. It was good memories.

Understandable, my stats were all 70+ with about 10 99's. My rewarding 99 was Agility, yet all the skills like Runecrafting are ruined due to easier leveling methods, but that's the way I see it -_- .
