If Capcom sold cars

I do not take credit for writing this. If you want to know who to thank, Jorge D. Fuentes over at the Castlevania Dungeon Forums is the guy to talk to.

‎"Congratulations on buying this Capcom car!"

"My mechanic told me that there's an Wireless Radio, extra large storage behind the trunk, and an extra large gas tank, but there's a lock on all of those things."

"Oh that? Please ignore that."

"But he says it's right there... Why would you sell me this car and not unlock those things that are right there in the car?"

"Look, to be honest, those things each cost about a fifth of the total cost of the car, each, and we're not giving out the keys for them until months from now."

"Uhhhh... 1. that's pretty expensive, if you think about it. I'm paying for three options that are right there in the car, the only thing stopping me is a lock you put on there... 2. and you're not giving out the keys to those locks until months from now... why would you do that?"

"Well, see in a few months from now people will want the game to seem new again, so we will unlock those features."

"For free?"

"Oh heavens no, we'll charge you, like I said."

"You know, that's pretty underhanded."

"Well what's the alternative? That you wait a year and then we'll release a 'complete' version of the car, with (mostly) everything unlocked at start, at 3/4 of the price?"

"Actually why wouldn't you just release THAT version, at THAT price?"

"Well it would take too long."

"It's not like there's a deadline!"

"Well that, and we want people to pay for the thing twice. Or three times. Hell, we might make an "Ultimate" version of the same car."

"I don't think I'll be buying cars from you anymore."

"It's OK, there are other people who think it's a bargain to do it this way! They don't want to wait a year, so they pay a PREMIUM for this version, even if it's gimped and they'll pay for extra stuff later."

"B-but those are your most devoted fans! Why would you screw them over like that?"

"I'm sorry, I didn't hear you. I was too busy over here counting my money."

End scene.

...what?

Anyway, on the thread title's subject, I would so want a Protoman car.

Objection! Hold it! Take that! Gotcha! Eureka!

I like video games and anime.
