Just got done watching the preview of Star Vs. The Forces of Evil, I actually really enjoyed it. I like Star's character, she acts like a good-natured little sister, annoying at times but overall has a good heart. I like how Marco is competent in battle, and how he isn't just a dead weight Star has to drag around. I like a lot of the jokes both episodes, especially Star's Sunshine joke. And of course, the animation is amazingly fluid. Overall, I look foward to seeing more of the series, and the fact that it promises to have continuity leads to a lot of story and world building potential.

Really good. I definitely agree with Star's character, which is strange since most energetic characters get on my nerves a tiny bit. Marco's also a great character. He wants to be like his daredevil friends, yet he's caught up in ensuring the safety of everybody, including Star. It's pretty amusing and sort of original.

 

The animation and the humour are great too, although the latter can get a little one-note for my tastes. Unfortunately, the villains and Star's wand weren't enough for me. With the latter, while I do love the rest of the fantasy elements, I still am weirded out by her wand as the show didn't really explained it properly. But now that I know that this is going to be a continuity-driven show, my hopes for SvsTFOE are higher than ever.

 

This show reminds me of one of my favourite shows - Gravity Falls. With its quirky characters and fantasy elements, I can see SvsTFOE being an amazing show. I can't wait for the next batch of episodes!
