Minecraft is a blocky sandox game based on surviving in a never ending fantasy realm.

There are hundreds of different DLCs for this game.

They are commonly known in the MC franchise as "mods".

Some mods for Minecraft add little features that mildly enhance the game.

Other mods change the game as a whole adding a complete new experience.

 

My favorite mod for Minecraft is "Biomes O' Plenty".

This mod adds in not only biomes, but also ores, creatures, vegetation, liquids, and much much more.

Not to mention it adds a brand new dimension called "The Promised Land" which is the basically the Minecraft version of heaven.

 

So what are favorite Minecraft mods?

I think one of my favorite mods has to be Mekanism. I remember back in the old days trying to figure out the machines in Industrial Craft, but it was tough work and slow going. I think Mekanism handles some of the same ideas better.

I don't really have a favorite single mod but, my favorite modpack is Orespawn. It adds so much tools, ores, mobs and different dimensions into the game. It's definitely my favourite. Speaking of that I haven't played Minecraft in a while.

I use AppleCore, Backpacks, Better World Generation, CustomNPCs, Damage Indicator, Dense Ores, Gammabright, Improving MInecraft,  Inventory Tweaks, Matmos, Mo Bends, Optifine, Placeable Items, Smart Moving, MrCrayfish's Furniture, Stuffed Animals, Voxel Minimap, Lucky Blocks, Chimneys, Particle Box, Treecapitator, Avatar: The Last Blockbender, Biomes O' Plenty, Clay Soldiers, Mo Creatures, Extra Utilities, Malisis Doors, Minecraft Comes Alive, VeinMiner, Ruins, StarCraft and SlabCraft, Waila, and of course NotEnoughItems. These mods have certainly made me a lot more invested in playing Minecraft, since there's only so much you can do with vanilla.
