I personally think that the series as a whole is incredibly overrated but I can see the appeal to the atmosphere and the lore. Me personally I think FNAF could work as a novel idea or perhaps some kind of show. Honestly, it is the lore that has made me like the games even just a little but the third game is where it all got so convoluted that I have a hard time caring about it now. The only one I enjoyed playing was the second one because I think it has the best mechanics and the creepiest atmosphere by far.
