If either Princess Celestia or Princess Luna treated me like that, I would not feel patronized at all, this is friendship, this is how individuals are supposed to treat each other, not treat others as if they don't exist (within reason) or make unreasonable demands of them. We've seen in the show what happens when Princess Luna felt unloved or dismissed and it did not end well for her.
