Who was/is your favourite teacher and why?

The title is pretty self explanitory.

Anywho, my favourite teacher is no doubt my current World Civ teacher.

Mr. Coyne is awesome because of all the politics in his class and due to the fact that he mocks and riddicules the troublemakers in his class. He also isn't afraid of showing us the blunt reality of history. For example: a couple days ago he showed us images of the rape of nanking, he even wrote on this on the agenda: "sorry, history is not rated g." Those were some of the most disturbing images I've ever seen in my entire life. The 2nd most awesome thing about him is the projects he gives us. The last prodject we had was meant to simulate Imperialism, where he assigns us into groups of  5-6 and gives us a country to represent. Each person had a role to play, one person was the navy leader, one to be the foreign minister, one for economic advisor, ect. Some kids were spies and whomever catches one gets 500 ipps (the currency in the prodject) and if you falsly accuse someone of being a spy you lose 500ipps. If a country gets taken over, everyone in that group gets an F. The most awesome thing about him is that he doesn't give a fuck if I write communist propoganda on the board after school. I even sent him 13 communist songs to him and got 5 bonus bucks for it. Mr. Coyne so awesome that I'm willing to take ap american studies, where it combines apush and ap lang together and where two teachers collaborate with each other, because he's the only one that has it. The only downside about him is that his class can be a bit hard at times.

My favorite was my fourth grade teacher Mrs. Daniels. It's been so long ago, so I really can't remember why, but I do know that she was nice, fair, and good a teaching. If we're talking about a more recent one though, I'd say my math teacher Mr. Karr. He makes math easy, and any teacher that can do that for me earns respect in my eyes.

My favorite teacher was Ms. Agnello who was my U.S. history teacher during my junior year in high school. She had a great sense of humor and made the entire class laugh. We also watched movies in that class. She was also a chilled and laid back teacher as well. Not one who was super strict. Literally, she said the only way to get kicked out of the class was if you walked out.

Probably my 6th grade language/literature teacher. Occasionally he would make videos with us on his green screen pertaining to the topic we were studying. I also helped him make some of his smartboard presentations that he used during class.

My Information Technology teacher was awesome. My friends and I would play video games with him during class. My grades were already very high so it didn't matter.

Oh man, I have so many to choose from. What a luxury, to have difficulty selecting a favorite teacher. Quality education, what a privilege.

Ultimately I'm going with my history professor and my math professor. I've had tons of great teachers throughout my life and they've all impacted my future in some way, and will continue to do so, but these two really stand out.

My history professor is fantastic. He's got this infectious, energetic personality that makes everyone invested in learning what he's teaching; he challenges and sparks debate at every turn with his students, playing devil's advocate in almost every circumstance. What really sticks with me is that he doesn't care what you think or believe, just so long as its challenged and you know why you think it and believe it. He wants every student that comes into his classroom to succeed, and he breaks his back in order to make that happen. Not only is he a kickass teacher but he's a phenomenal advisor/mentor/all around good guy. I love him to bits, and I hope he's teaching for a long time and inspiring other students like me.

I was actually terrified of my math professor for a long time--my brother took him before I did, and used to record his lectures. On tape, he sounded so sharp and the math sounded so complicated that I swore to avoid him at all costs. But I discovered he's a completely different person outside of the classroom, hugely helpful and accommodating and will explain something five different ways from Sunday, for hours if necessary, until you get it right. Again, he's really energetic and I honestly wish he'd teach a history of math course, because he gets so excited about how famous equations were developed and crafted into what we use today. Not to mention his classroom manner is hilarious when you're actually sitting in the classroom.

Anyway. TL;DR - I have great professors.

my favorite teacher was a student teacher actually... he was a student teacher for my grade 11 english class. i hate english and even though i dont give a shit about writing (especially typing ahhahaha), he thought i was amazing at it. he praised me on every single thing i wrote and he really believed in me as a person. i was sad when he went back to school to finish his degree.

but now he is a full teacher at my old high school and he talks to my younger sister to check up on me. she texts me for him and the teacher and i talk like that for brief periods of time. my sis says that he still tells students about my writing. her friends think that he likes me more than just a star student if you catch my drift, but i think he just believed in me more than any other student. that means the world to me

and another is Jacqueline Mead she is my British Literature  teacher... and possibly the coolest teacher ever.... I can't really explain why she is.... she just is

there was another named Mark Bond he was my American History teacher.... he was also a Psychology teacher which made class that much more amusing.....

another named James Boyer he was my Geometry teacher.... he was very chill and at the end of the year he asked me for my gamertag and we are now Xbox Live buddies

and finally... my American Literature teacher Kim Wiley.... she was very nice and I got along with her very well.... projects were easy and assignments were mostly done in groups....

My History teacher hands down. He is legit the funniest guy you'll ever meet. His sarcasm is hilarious and sometimes he creepily goes cross-eyed when he's talking to you. When you have to take a quiz/test he screams at you (in a non-threatening way) to move everything off your desk. He has the funniest stories to talk about like the dead body story and the mugging story. Plus, he legit has a 10 year old hot dog rotting in a closet in the classroom. (He brought it out once for proof lol) Not only is he funny, but he is a prodigy. He knows practically everything to do about history and much more. This guy is like a Harvard guy, but he never attended that school once. Man, I'm going to miss him when I graduate.

An example of Mr. Coyne mocking the troublemakers is when he asked this one jerkbag which country attacked pearl harbor. The guy responded with: "uhhhh...I don't know, the swedes?" The answer was so bad that Mr coyne proceeded to mock him throughout the school year, but not in a bully way.

7/8th grade history teacher, everyday she would talk to the same group of students all period. She would stall them form there work with her life stories, and homework never got passed out so easy A in that class, and an entire hour of sleep every day undetected.

My math teacher for 11th and 12th grade (AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC) is my favorite teacher of all time. He cares about me on a personal level, supports me, and gives me help with stuff outside of class. He even lent me an awesome math book. In class, he explains everything very clearly and can make very complex topics seem very simple and easy to work with.

My 12th grade english teacher is my 2nd favorite teacher of all time. She's extremely chill and she genuinely cares about all of us.
