The connection between Princess Cadence and past rulers of the Crystal Empire

In The Journal of the Two Sisters, the ruler of the Crystal Empire when Luna and Celestia first became princesses was named Princess Amore. I thought that was pretty strange, but I dismissed it. Then I rewatched The Crystal Empire last night. When Princess Cadence had caught the Crystal Heart and was flying over them, at first they were saying, "Who is that?" but then somepony said, "Behold, the Crystal Princess!" Her cutie mark was glowing, too. *skims through an entry in The Journal of the Two Sisters* Princess Amore also had a cutie mark with the Crystal Heart on it. If you haven't read The Journal of the Two Sisters and you don't want spoilers, you'd better stop reading this right now. The crystal ponies found the Crystal Heart in a dragon's hoard, but they thought the dragon was a myth, so they took it. Princess Amore got her cutie mark when she projected her love into the Crystal Heart which then magnified it. Then later it turned out that dragon was actually real and it stole the Crystal Heart back. Just like Princess Cadence, Princess Amore tried to send a protective aura of love over the Empire by herself. But unlike Princess Cadence, Princess Amore was only a unicorn, so her magic wasn't strong enough and her magic was completely depleted. Celestia and Luna had to go convince the dragon to give the crystal ponies the Crystal Heart. There's obviously a connection between Princess Cadence and Princess Amore. Since the crystal ponies seemed to think Princess Cadence WAS Princess Amore, they must look a lot alike. Is that all, or is Princess Cadence a descendant of Princess Amore? Or is Princess Cadence actually Princess Amore? That seems very unlikely, since the book didn't say anything about Princess Amore becoming an alicorn, and Princess Cadence appears to age at the same rate as ordinary ponies. Sorry if this is the wrong section. And once again, I'm only here to ask this question.

Also, Princess Luna and Princess Celestia were fillies when they became princesses and they're really close in age. Just thought that information might be helpful.

Cadence's full name is Princess Mi Amore Cadenza.

 

Either they're the same person, or Cadence is a descendant of her.

I know her full name. That's why I thought it was so strange that the pony who ruled the Crystal Empire thousands of years ago was named Princess Amore.

No, Cadance is a descendant of Amore also she was born as a pegasus according to Crystal Heart Spell, and there was no ruler of the Crystal Empire when it came back. Here's what I think: 

 

Amore went on vacation and while on vacation, Sombra takes over and then Amore is forced to roam around Equestria, and had many descendants until Cadance was born and she got her cutie mark because the Empire would return during her life. And Cadance was found in a village or something so I think her parents we're on a vacation in Cloudsdale and Cadance got knocked off during a race like Fluttershy. And her parents looking for Cadance got eatin by a monster that would attack the village so Cadance summoned a special magic to defeat the monster. The Power of PK Love (Mother 3 reference ) to defeat the monster. And Cadance was transported to the Celestial field and became and alicorn.

 

I'm sure this headcanon has some plotholes but that's the absolute best I can come up with.

She was knocked down as a baby in Cloudsdale to a Village. She was just a newborn and couldn't remember her parents. That's what I think.

Something bad happened to Princess Amore most likely during the shift to Sombra. I've always headcanoned it that members of the royal family before Sombra probably fled after the goverment was overthrown by him, or he god rid of the main monarch. A royal family on the run, they've had descendants over the centuries, until we get to Cadence.

A likely possibility:

 

1) Princess Amore ruled over the Crystal Empire for an undetermined time.

 

2) At some point King Sombra took over. What the circumstances of this transition of power were haven't been canonically revealed, such as whether he was anointed or chosen peacefully and the then became corrupted, or was a villain from the start and just usurped the throne violently, a mix of the two or some completely different scenario.

 

3) Princess Amore is either killed and her family/descendants flee the Empire or she is exiled and starts a new life elsewhere. One of these descendants will eventually become Princess Mi Amore Cadenza. (Given the fact that Cadance is supposed to have originally been a pegasus and Princess Amore was a unicorn, obviously some crossbreeding occurred over the ages.)

 

4) Princess Celestia and Luna end Sombra's reign and the empire vanishes for a thousand years.

 

5) At some point later in time Candace is orphaned and discovered by Princess Celestia, who may or may not have suspected her royal lineage in addition to her magical connection with love. This could be a cause for her title 'Amore', a title even Twilight Sparkle wasn't familiar with. 

 

 

It seems very plausible to me that Cadance's story could just be like that of Aragorn from Lord of The Rings. A commoner who is discovered to have royal blood and possess a noble spirit and eventually reclaims their long lost throne from a tyrant.
