A small crystal lands from above. Dashia descends from her cloud. She says calmly, "Virtuosity, Ezekiel was acting as champion for me. I think it best we take a break and think this out. All I saw was you being called a thief and the item I had seen Aile with. I acted for her sake."

Virtue

Looking down at the despicable stallion with one of her foulest stares, she breathed in slowly, and then continued to speak on a silent, controlled, but obviously angered tone. "First of all, if you had taken the slightest consideration to look at this situation from my perspective, then you would've realised that this entire 'duel' looked like a definite fight to the death. I was simply trying to make sure nopony else got hurt. The first thing you do when somepony is trying to make sure things get talked through is threaten her in front of all her allies, after either stealing or reposessing the chip that was previously in Aile's possesion. It was easy to assume that your intentions were far from good." She was clearly furious now, and the accusations of this unthinkably stupid stallion had gotten to her pretty badly. "So you better put that sword away from me or you will regret it."

She then turned to the entire group, and especially to Aile. "Secondly, I am demanding information on behalf of these ponies here. If that chip is really so important to you, you might want to know that these ponies have fought for their lives to protect it, and prevent if from falling into the wrong hands. I've seen it happen. So if you have even the slightest bit of decency, you will explain us." She hesitated for a moment, and then pointed to Aile. "Or at least her what the hell that chip even does and why it's so important. Like Aile said, they've been chased around quite badly, and from what I have seen their enemies are powerful."

"Finally..." She whispered, and she turned to the stallion again. "If there was anypony left on this world that would encourage peace and negotiation, the last of them would be raiders. Do not compare me to this scum." She said turning around to point at the village. "And do not compare me to the stereotype of the enclave. I can barely call myself a pegasus already, let alone you."

Still waiting for the newcomer to take his weapon away and become more reasonable, Virtue started becoming slightly nervous. She was far too fragile to commence in a head-to-head fight. This stallion could slay her in a single hit. But her words usually got her where she wanted to be, so hopefully the sword would be lowered in just a moment, and not struck through her throat. She broke slightly eventualy. "Please... we can work this out. I'm sorry for insulting you. Just put down your weapon..."

[Charisma 10, speech 100]

Greshken

Seeing that the fight started to get out of hand with Virtue striking the wrong note for the newcomer, Greshken walked up behind the stallion. He didn't ready any weapon, or assume any stance that would propose agression, but he simply looked down at the tiny stallion, breezed through his nose and grunted softly. "Do not make the wrong choice." The stallion, who was experienced with melee weaponry himself, would most likely see that Greshken would outmatch him in a fight.

How would you walk, how would you talk if you thought: "Three percent of the population likes classical music, if only we could get it up to four percent we'd be back in business and all our problems would be over." How would you walk, how would you talk if you thought: "Everybody loves classical music! They just haven't found out about it yet!" It's an entirely different world. It's what you make of it that counts.

"You speak of peace, negotiation, and decency, yet you fail to offer me any, the only incentive for your apology is this piece of steel so close to your neck." He spoke lowly and gazed dangerously at her as if he was just about to thrust his sword into her neck, he lowered it ever so slowly but not all the way. "Do not try to make yourself appear to be the harbinger of harmony when the actions of yours and those around you contradict the words you speak, do you truly believe there is any 'negotiating' happening right now?" He sighed deeply, his horn glowing ever so lowly as he prepared to cast two spells in quick succession, an amplification and teleport spell. "If you are sincere about your concern for your 'allies' then seek me near Manehattan, however, don't expect the information to come without a price!" He shouted as his weapon glowed a bright hue of blue, his amplification spell making the light un-tolorable for normal eyes and teleported.

Virtue

After a bright Flash, the stallion was gone, and Virtue stood perplexed. As much as she had hoped that this stallion could give them more information, she was mostly glad that she was still alive. She exhaled and let the tension in her body go. Looking at Ezekiel, she whispered: "Thanks for defending me like that." And she gave him a grateful look.

She then turned to the others. "Well... Now what. I have to think for a moment." She hesitated and paced around a bit, looking down at her hooves. "I suppose we'll have to look up that strange stallion eventually, but not necessarily now..." She looked up, doubtful and uncertain. "What do you guys think."

Crackshot shielded his eyes from the bright light, and growled as he saw the mysterious cyborg had disappeared. He snorted through his nose and returned Persuasion to his back, promising to himself that that little piece of shit wouldn't get away so easy next time.

He looked toward Virtue, who seemed to look a little uncertain of the situation.

"We can either all go together," he answered straightly, "or we can split into two groups. One goes to Manehattan, the other to this 'Cloudsdayle'."

He looked the pegasus in the eyes. "Good handling of the situation, much better than I'd have done." He nodded toward the house. "There's a safe in there, think you can crack it?"

Chip looked around the group trying to think of what would be a good course of action. "Well Dashia needs to see her mother so she can get her knee fixed." he said pondering the other option. "Problem is we don't know what that chip is, so is it really a good idea to allow that pony to have it. What if it has a link to the virus we're trying to stop."

"Like Crackshot said we can split up and meet up after we finish what we set out to do. Because I highly doubt that pony is going to wait on us for long." He stated looking back over the group.

Dashia listens and says, "I have an idea for how we do this. Anypony have a memory orb. We can record the meeting in one for those who don't go to have the knowledge, when the group meets up again.

Plus the installation of my joints and rehab after is going to take time. Also the fewer that come with me the better our chances are of avoiding the hellhounds. I also know something about the place that i will tell those who come with me, while on the move.

As for who goes which way. Greshken should go with the manehatten group. Don't know how Cloudsdayle will handle seeing a Minatuar with a tank cannon, walking to their door step without forewarning that he is a friendly.

Ezekiel, you should come with us to meet mom. I think she would be happy to see one of your kind. She only knows the tales and she was the one who taught me to never judge a book by its cover. You never know what your missing out on."

Virtue looked at Dashia as she explained her plan. It made sense to her, and she decided to agree with it. Facing the sun, which was setting at the horizon, she sighed once, and then looked at the others with full confidence. "Right, that's the plan then. Greshken, Crackshot and Chip should go after the chip and find out what it is. Me, Ezekiel and Dashia will go to this hellhound sanctuary and find Dashia's mom. We can meet up again in Junction R-7. I am not too familliar with the place, but I'm certain we'll be able to restock and rest there without much hassle or hostility."

She then looked at Aile, and gave her a considerate look. "Now you have to choose who you're going with Aile. I'm certain you want to go after the chip, and I'm sure you have questions for whoever it is that stole it, but it might be dangerous to go after him..." Taking a step back and pausing for a moment, she look her in the eyes. "I suppose the choise is yours."

With that, she turned around to look at Crackshot. "A safe huh? Maybe I can. I can't say I'm unfamilliar with cracking locks, but some are still too hard to crack for me..." She said. "I'll try to sneak inside again. I don't want the raiders to notice me again, or I'll cause even more suspicion and they might come after us to avenge Ricto." She thought about her statement for a moment, and then shrugged. "Well it's not like they liked Ricto, but I'm certain they'll take any excuse to go on a avenging crusade to hunt us down. The raiders in this town are often far too bored..." With a smile, she took off in the air soundlessly again. Though she looked far from elegant, hovering there, having trouble making speed, her wings didn't make a sound, and you'd barely notice she were there if it weren't for her deep purple colored coat that contrasted heavily with the sky. "Anything I need to know before I go? Is Ricto fond of boobytrapping his safes?"

Crackshot listened to Dashia and Virtue's plan, quietly taking in the information. He'd be travelling with Greshken and Aile into Manehattan to hunt down this cyborg.

Perfect.

His ears perked up as Virtue mentioned they'd meet up at Junction R-7. Gawd's place.

"If we're meeting up there," he spoke up, addressing the group, "let me get us inside. I've been there before."

He nodded as Virtue agreed to open the safe, though he highly doubted any of the local raiders would even be interested in the safe, let alone raid the place for it.

"Not that I remember," he answered, looking up at the pegasus as he walked toward the house, "I'd better come with you, to be sure."

Chip looked at Dashia and back at Virtuosity, he'd like to accompany hus marefriend but Virtuosity's suggestion made sense to him. He may be needed if they are going to Manehattan for long range support. Against hell hounds they would be able to figure out where chip would be positioned easily.

He turned to Crackshot "well I guess i'll listen to Virtuosity and accompany you all." He said glancing back at Dashia. "While we wait until we depart, Greshken how about I finish that tank cannon?"

Greshken

"That-" Greshken started, as he swung the cannon in front of Chip so he could crawl under it again to fix the firing mechanism "- sounds like the best idea of today." He had patiently waited for things to develop far enough so that the could return to actual action again, instead of constantly talking, and now his weapon would finally be finished, and then they'd be on their way. He couldn't wait.

Virtue

Crackshot gave her the idea that stealth wasn't absolutely nescesary, so she dropped to the ground again and followed him as they headed for Ricto's house. Rather quickly they arrived at his doorstep and she opened the door again, which she had left unlocked after breaking in the first time. Going upstairs, it didn't take long for her to find the safe Crackshot had been talking about. "Alright, this will take a moment..." She said as she crouched down and put her ear against the safe, trying to find the correct combination to open it.

Dashia says to Chip, "I will let you go on one condition. You come back to me ok? If you die, I will go to the underworld and drag your sorry flank back to the world of the living and then send you back there my way. Do you understand me, Chip? I want to see you alive when we meet. Also might be better to come to Cloudsdayle. I want you to meet mom and dad. They are going to love you."

Chip went over to the cannon and when he hit his bag against the tank turret he heard the slight sound of glass tapping metal. He then remembered he had the virus source With him, he had completely forgot after what happened earlier.

As he begun looking at the tank cannon Dashia spoke to him. He looked up at her "I would prefer to go with you so I can make sure you stay safe." He said looking back at the direction Virtuosity had walked off to.

Chip was deciding if he should accompany Dashia, it would be nice to meet her parents after what he had heard of them. "Sure, I'll come with you. Worries me if Greshken and Crackshot will get along without me." He joked with a smirk.

He galloped off to his shop and grabbed a torch kit he had and returned to Cannon Greshken had set on the ground. He continued to cut the hood off from where they left off last time.

Aile

"I'll join Gresken to pursue the chip, the more ponies going to Manehattan the safer it will be I think, and the less going with Dashia the easier it would be to sneak around unnoticed and the sorts." She pauses a moment at the short conversation between Dashia and Chip and then adds  "I hope you guys are comfortable being separated for more than a day, from the looks of it we have a lot of distance to cover and who knows how long we will be forced to stay at our locations, if this is gonna be a problem then you should both go together." The last thing she wanted was both of them being unfocused and worrying about each other, that usually never had any good effects."

Within a few minutes, a loud click sounded from the safe, signifying its unlocking.

"Nice work," Crackshot nodded, using his magic to open the door once Virtue had stepped back.

Inside was a sack, its weight telling them that there had to be at least a few hundred caps in there. A side of it had the numbers 1400 crudely written on them.

"This'll be our payment for the tank job," he told Virtue, pulling out two hundred and setting them on top of the safe, "here."

A few assault rifle rounds also sat in there for whatever reason, but with that rifle he took from that Marauder running low, he decided to take those for himself.

The last thing was a folded piece of paper. Curious, he levitated it out and unfolded it, wondering just what could be so important that he'd have to lock it away.

The fact that it was addressed to Chip Circuit was a good start.

After a quick skim, he went wide-eyed a bit.

"Meet me outside and we'll finalise the plans," he said rather quickly, stomping downstairs and back outside with the paper still in his magic. He trotted over to Chip and tapped his shoulder. "You're gonna want to look at this."

As Chip was working on the tank cannon he felt a tap on his shoulder and he saw Crackshot there with a piece of paper in his magic. Chip was curious and turned off his torch and grabbed the paper with his magic.

As he looked it over he saw it was addressed to him. Chip unfolded and began reading it. As he did so tears were beginning to pool in his eyes fogging up his goggles. He slid his goggles up on his face finishing the letter. The letter had been from his father as a form of final words.

Chip wiped his eyes setting the letter in his bag. "You don't know how much that means to me... Thank you Crackshot." He said lunging forward and wrapping his hooves around Crackshot's neck.

Chip quickly let go of him clearing his throat. "Sorry, but again thank you. Whatever you need you let me know." He said with a big toothy smile on his face. "Can I ask where you got it?"

Crackshot watched as Chip read the letter, and he began to tear up again from reading it.

Though this time, they were more tears of happiness. Hopefully this made up for the bad news from before.

He opened his mouth to reply to the younger unicorn's thanks, before he found himself embraced around the neck by him.

He didn't respond; he didn't have a response for a friendly hug, since he wasn't exactly used to getting them.

"I got it from Ricto's safe," he answered, nodding toward the house, and he lifted two hundred caps from his saddlebag, "as well as two hundred caps for each of us."

Ezekiel chuckled at the display of affection, opting to join in with a simple leg around Crackshot's withers. "Group hug!" He laughed. Ezekiel was used to this kind of display back where he was from so he didn't understand that some might find it strange.

Dashia goes over to the group hug and joins in her mussle close to Chips. She holds it just long enough to get chip's attention. She then backs away. She gives him a friendly look that says 'let's get started'.

Chip saw Ezekiel wrap his hoof around Crackshot's neck as well. Chip laughed at the display seeing the look on Crackshot's face looking like he didn't know what to do. Chip joined in again putting a hoof on both Ezekiel's and Crackshot's shoulder. They were then joined by Dashia who got really close the Chip and his cheeks turned red, he was still not use to the physical contact of a mare.

He chuckled at Crackshot and let go of them. "Sorry again Crackshot," he said putting his goggles down again walking back to the cannon. "Think we can delay thirty minutes I'm almost done with the cannon and just need to put a simple trigger on it? And if you're really curious it was a letter from my dad, he knew Ricto.was after him so he wrote it for me as his last words."

Chip went back to working trying to finish as soon as he could.

Crackshot's eyes darted around awkwardly as Ezekiel put his arm around his shoulders in a 'group hug', and then Dashia and Chip joined in themselves.

It wasn't as if he was going to unload some shells on them for touching him; he was simply unsure of how to react. His friends back in the old clan were never this affectionate; the most he ever got was a hoof-bump.

He didn't exactly dislike this though, it felt good to know these ponies were comfortable enough around him to actually touch him. Though all this weight on his legs was starting to wear on him a bit.

And yet, a ghost of a smirk escaped his face. "Heh..."
