Should I resketch this before taking it to digital?

Figured I would ask for some feedback before doing digital work for once. Get some public opinion.

 

Anypony who has seen some of my stuff before knows I do some cleanup in digital and it rough lines in the sketch are not really reflected in the final work. Im just wondering mostly about the pose in this one. Opinions please?

 

Be as critical as necessary.

It's a good sketch, but if you're not careful her hooves might look like something else, if you know what i mean.  maybe try moving her hair so you can see her arm more?

That is definitely something I had not considered 

I was actually thinking about moving here hair back a bit anyway just cause I thought it might look a bit fuller, so that should work out. Thanks for the feedback.

I think you should re-sketch it; possibly with a little more hooves and a little less hair covering hooves. I also feel it'd be best to draw the wings on her rather than far from her, but that's just me

As far as the wings, you can see I did, and I normally do, but I wasn't fond of how they looked so I tried a few more times till I got what I liked. Cause I vector its really simple to move something like that around and rework it so I was not too concerned with it. On the same sort of matter, it might not be worth re-sketching just to move the hair because again, I can just move things around when I do the digital work, this is merely a guideline. I pretty much have never ended with the same lines as the sketch I was working with, so far anyway.

 

Not trying to depreciate the value of your feedback, I honestly really do appreciate it. I just want to explain my process some so you understand my standpoint. If that makes any sense.

Ok made a second sketch, same pose, shifted hair. Better? Worse? The same?

I know whe legs came out a bit small, but that should be an easy fix in post, so overlook the size problem there.

Definitely better with the hair, but I feel like the wings are too boxy/ sharp at the end. Could be rounded out. Other than that it's great.

Ok sweet deal. Thats the kind of thing I can fix in post. I am not that good of a drawer, but I am getting better it is just easier to fix it on the computer.

The right eye looks kinda strange to me, maybe it's the shape, I'm not sure. Despite that, looks pretty dern good!

Sketch B: If you look at where her forelegs join to her body — what on a human would be her shoulders — and her chin, the distance between them is too great. She has a long neck.

 

Apart from that particular factor, I think B is the better of the two sketches.
