Back in the human world, James sat down at his desk and waited for his final report of the situation outside the base, the random portal appearing outside the gate was not on his list of things to figure out, not with all the other stuff going on in the region. James got up from his chair and made his way to the briefing room. 

 

As James entered the room he noticed his new Recruit to the unit, "I take it your the man that was sent to me to help out with this portal problem?" James looked over John who stood in front of him. "Although i was looking for a more experienced soldier, but you will do," James turned around and grabbed a folder off the desk and threw it on the table. "This is the mission ahead of us," Read it careful,  these parameters are not to be changed at any point, our main mission is to scout the area and determine if its hostile, if not, provide help if needed, do you understand these orders?" James stood there glaring at John, waiting on his reply.

Lightning walked closure to show that he wasn't afraid, "you may be able to crush me, but you won't get out of this place alive. I don't take well to threats."

Storm held up a hoof, "So wait.. Are you a good Pony or a bad Pony?" He asked curiously, "And more importantly... Do you like parties?"

 

Rainbow growled, "It doesn't matter if he likes parties Storm! If he's a bad guy, then he needs to go!" She paused, shivering slightly as Storm glared at her.

 

"It always matters whether or not someone likes Parties Rainbow." Storm said simply, before turning back to Revan and eagerly waiting for a response.

 

Rainbow breathed a sigh of relief, Storm could be surprisingly scary when he wanted to... Not that she'd ever admit it, of course.

Swift carried her bag on her back. She stopped as she took her first step into the town, and sighed. "...New town, new me." She mumbled, inaudible to anyone around her. She looked around for a city hall, but all she could see was a group of ponies gathered around a thing she has never seen before in front of a large tree. It piqued her interest, and she decided to see what they were yelling about. They talked of a false god, and an emperor that could destroy planets or some nonsense like that.

 

She didn't want to interrupt anything, so she simply stayed at the back of the crowd and listened into what people were saying. She wanted people to think she was a good person.

Tech smiles and says, "Answer this one question And I will consider you not a threat. If you could gain an ally among your kind who can make technology turn against your enemies, what would you say? This is an answer from you as an individual not as a soldier.

 

I can tell by looking at you, my power right now is not as it should. But as more technology surrounds me the more my power grows."

 

Tech reverts from his aggressive stance and says, logically, "If one could control the sun, wouldn't they also be able to destroy many world's?"

With Storm talking to the big Creature, Lightning took the threat very hard, he began to charge up his Lightning attack and his eyes began to glow. He wasn't very subtle when it came to being threatened and he didn't take kindly to other ponies calling his ruler a pretender or anything to that extent. With the 'false god' comment it threw him over the edge and he wasn't going to calm down regularly. He would show anypony that he was not to be messed with.

"That would be interesting! Though I don't think Princess Celestia 'Controls' the Sun when she moves it... It's probably more like she uses her magic to 'Push' it from one place to the next. Kinda like how we would roll a rock or push a cart!" Storm replied happily.

--Meanwhile--

A Pink blur pulled RD and Lightning off to a side-room in the library. "Hey, no need to get all hostile mc meany-pants there Lightning! He hasn't even said he was planning on attacking us yet, so far he's only responded to everypony else's aggression... Well, other than the insulty-stuffs..." Pinkie said reasonably.

 

Rainbow sighed, "As much as I hate to admit it, your right Pinkie... So far nothing bad has really happened, and he seems to be fairly nice to Storm... Probably since Storm's been really cheerful and welcoming, like usual..." 

 

"Glad you see it my way!" Pinkie chirped, "Now you can stay here and help Lightning calm down, while I go wait for Storm to finish talking so we can plan a party!" the mare then quickly zoomed out of the room.

 

"Pinkie, wai- and she's gone..." Rainbow sighed again before turning towards Lightning with a smile, "You can calm down you know, not like I'm going to bite." She told him, gesturing to the electric charge he'd been starting.

Reven continued to push his armor to the point where it was moving normally with his own movements.

 

"We are the Saviours of man! Bane of Chaos! And I guess we enjoy Celebrations too? We are Not sure what a party is though."

 

He shakes his head and steps in front of Lightning, his red eyes boring into his.

 

"Your Insult is worthless if you can't back it up Xeno! I've faced Gods! Demons! I've watched planets burn! I've battled Necrons on shattered moons!"

 

He turned to face tech and snarls.

 

"Your lucky I don't crush you Xeno! Messing with our Secred Power armor is more than enough to warrent your termination. Let alone you trying to corrupt the machine spirit inside, but it doesn't matter"

Lightning didn't even notice being pulled from the outside to inside the house. His body was to a point of lock up, his whole  body began to produce electric arcs around it as it now had a full charge of electric ready to be displaced. As he stood there he heard a familiar  voice in the back of his mind. "You can calm down you know, not like I'm going to bite.". He couldn't quite put his hoof on to who it was, but he knew it sounded familiar. His body began to feel i little more calmer as he repeated the words in the back of his head. As he became calmer the electric build up that was being made slowly displaced until it was completely gone. Once Lightning was completely calm he noticed that Rainbow was staring at him with a smile. "Thinks for getting me out of that, I don't know what came over me." Lightning shock his head and fell to the ground, the build up of electricity had pulled the energy out of his body, "If you don't mind i'm going to need help getting back outside, i need to apologize to who ever that is."

Swift had paid attention to the odd creature and its peculiar way of speaking. He definitely spoke the same language, but... He definitely didn't come from around these parts. She decided to come to a conclusion and speak up. She stepped out from the crowd and placed her bright yellow eyes on the angry entity. She cleared her throat, and tried to use a vocabulary as similar to him as possible in order to not confuse him.

 

"...What are your intentions? Do you intend to destroy, or do you intend to be allies? I suggest you state your intentions. Some of these, er, Xeno, are getting mad. Please understand that we only want to be friends." Swift Fang looked up at the creature towering over her. "Furthermore, I would like to know your name, and how you came. I had not been here from the very start and I think that this information is vital."

 

She played with her left lip piercing with her tongue in a rather threatening manner. It wouldn't scare him, but it would scare more of the gullible ponies, especially the fillies. She waited for a response

Tech says, "I wasn't trying to currupt you. It is an honest question. If you could have an ally who could turn your enemy's technology against them, what would you say?"

 

Tech isn't a threat anymore to the space marine. He looks to him and says, "I never would harm somepony who isn't a threat. I only locked you up because you drew your blade."

Twilight walked up to the towering Creature,"Let me be the first to apologize, Rainbow Dash and Lightning are not very good with confrontation, we just recently had a problem, and we need to figure that one out first. We don't mean to start another problem with you. Now, Pinkie has gotten rid of the two causing the most problems, I'm sure when they calm down they would be very glad to apologize too."

As everyone was talking, a strange noise began to sound from inside the tree house. The portal that was since closed began to come to life. Lightning and Rainbow being closest to the noise noticed it first until it was load enough to be heard outside. The tree house began to glow with an eerie light, it wasn't until the tree was completely engulfed with light that the noise stopped and the Tree went back to normal.

Tech says, "that is dimensional transportation Technology if I ever saw it. What is going on inside?"

Tech makes to enter the tree house. His wings return to that defensive posture from before. He looks around once inside to figure out what happened.

Swift Fang looked at the rather small Pegasus and looked at him. "Be careful. It could be dangerous, don't do anything too stupid. I'll come along to investigate."

 

She said to the Pegasus, following behind him closely. She began to investigate, looking around for any damage or signs of what happened.

Applejack stops you before you enter, "I reckon you stay out of there, we already had one friend come up missing, we don't need you disappearing on us too."

 

Lightning comes around the corner with Rainbow Holding him up, unable to stand on his own since his episode earlier, "I don't know what just happened but that was the weirdest thing i have ever saw." Lightning said as he looked towards the portal device in the middle of the room.

Tech looks to AJ and says, "If you were Rotten Apple, I would have probably ignored you. But sense your not her I will say this, they can try. I won't go easy on them."

 

He may look small but if there is any saying that matches him most it would be, 'Big surprises come in small packages.'

Applejack looks at Tech, "Did you just call me a Rotten Apple?" Applejack stared at Tech for a few seconds, "Well its your funeral, don't say I didn't warn yea." Applejack moved to the side to allow you to walk passed. Upon entering you notice Rainbow holding Lightning up from falling over and a big machine in the middle of the room. Although the machine is not responsive to anything except making noise and an occasional spark being thrown from one of its Tesla coils.

Tech says to AJ, "no I didn't. It is the name of one who looks like you from my world."

 

Tech walks up to the two and says, "Did you catch what made that? Also what happened to him?" He points yo Lightning.

 

He then examines the portal device to see why it would be malfunctioning.

"Hey, Robotica, wait for me, will you?" She said teasingly to the pony from outside, following him into the tree to investigate the area. Upon entry, she noticed that the big tree was a library, with a staircase on the side, presumably to a sleeping quarters. It was not as large as the library in Cloudsdale, however it was much cosier and had a nicer feel to it. But more importantly, there was a massive machine in the very middle of the room. Perhaps that was what she was supposed to notice before the fact this was a library. A rainbow maned pony and the one arguing with the creature before were in the room.

 

"...What is this doing here...?" She mumbled to herself, looking at it oddly. "What do you think?" She said, directing her question to the other pony.

Rainbow looks at Tech, "Well, he put himself into a daze because of what happened earlier, and I'm helping him out right now." 

Lightning looked towards Tech, "Ill be fine, this happens when i get worked up. I can't help it."

 

Rainbow continued her conversation with Tech as she looked over the machine, "That was made by Twilight, she would be the only one that could answer your question about it, but if you can get it working, i have a score to settle."

Tech turns to Rainbow grinning. "I am a techno path engineer. I can do it in 10 seconds flat if I wanted to."

 

Tech then returns to his examination of the device to pinpoint the malfunction. He takes his time anylizing it. He also stays aware of if and when it activates again.

Reven sighed and lent down on one knee.

 

"May I please offer my apology, Not often do I have the pleasure of not being attacked on sight, The imperium of man has many enemies among the stars. It is only my instinct that drove me to act like I did. Again accept my apologies."

 

Reven then rose to his feet and drew his sword again, this time holding it by the blade and holding the handle out towards the Xenos.

 

"Take my blessed Chainsword as a offering peace between us"

"Good to have you alive," she said jokingly with a small smile. "But seriously, are you injured? I'm a doctor... Well, dentist." She said to the pony who was leaning on the blue rainbow pony.

 

"The name's Swift Fang... Call me anything else and you'll regret it." She said aggressively, but at the same time warmly. It was an odd combination, but somehow... It manages to fit. She turned back to the technology pony and listened to his explanation.

 

"That's great and all, but can you tell if that machine is safe or not?" She asked rather skeptical of this ability of his. "It's one thing to fix it, but to know if it's safe is probably not possible without asking this Twilight person."

Twilight looked at the Space Marine with smile, "I accept your apologize, I'm sorry for all the problems we caused, but when one of our friends are taken away and then you showed up, we got a little on edge." She looked at the sword that Reven extended out to every pony, "You might want to keep that, just in case we have our visitors come back."

Lightning looked over to Swift Wing, "No, I'm OK, just need to regain my energy, If it wasn't for Rainbow I might have done something really bad, and then i would have dealt with it." Lightning looks towards Rainbow, "And beside I enjoy being held up by her." he added with a smile.

 

Rainbow Looked at Lightning and sighed, "You are always making an advance, why don't you just ask?" Rainbow waited for an answer, but Lightning clammed up and looked at the ground embarrassed. 

 

Rainbow Looked over to the other two ponies in the room, "Yeah, I would diffidently talk to Twilight before you mess with that, she gets pretty upset when somepony mess with her stuff."

Tech says, "Not touching until I asked her anyways. Besides one can usually find a problem by just looking."

 

Tech continues to examine the machine while waiting for Twilight to return.

He then asks, "Is she the one who I misstook for Dimstar?" He seams curious.

Swift laughed at Rainbow and Lightning's odd chemistry, and looked to the Mechanical pony. "My apologies for asking, but who is Dimstar? I just came to Ponyville, I don't know anybody." She said, as if it was a confession. She was also reminded of something important.

 

"Also, I completely forgot to ask your name? Unless you want to be called Robotica..." She said sarcastically with a grin. "I told you my name, fess up!"
