Icarus soon finished writing.  He looked to Tyra. " You know a spell to get mail to your village right ? If not, I can probably teach you." ICarus offered. When he was young in stalliongrad, he and his friends would explore the surrounding villages and farms, and sometimes they had to camp out. It was an easy way to message Stalliongrad while he was away.

Tyra finished her own letter, nodding and deciding it was good enough to send.

She perked up and looked over to Icarus, who asked her about a spell.

 

"A spell?" She repeated, blinking confusedly as she glanced up at her own forehead, "but I am an earth pony, I cannot learn spells...unlike Blizzard, of course."

"hm?" caliber started eating his food. "rarity? oh, rarity! yeah, i know her. she touched up my cloak, when i passed through." caliber explained. "ill probably pass through ponyville again, soon. and who knows? you might be there!" caliber continued eating. then caliber showed ice blizzard a spot on his cloak that was slightly different than the rest of his cloak. "rarity  fixed my cloak right here. there was a huge hole in it." caliber grinned. "she said she'd never seen a shade of grey like that, and didn't know what fabric this was. naturally, she wanted it. you wouldn't believe how much she offered! but in the end, she accepted that this cloak was special to me." caliber went back to eating. "so how about it? we go to ponyville after this, eh?"

Icarus knocked himself on the head playfully. " Sorry about that, my head went a little......stupid there for a second... in that case, I can attempt to send the letter to your village, but I feel it would be more to your benefit if we sent it through an official mail service" ICarus said, scratching his head wondering how he had forgotten a simple fact. Must have been all the crazy events of today.

"Do not beat yourself up about it," Tyra shook her head, grinning, "it has been a long day for us all."

 

She considered his idea to use a mail service. "Aye, that would be a smart idea. I just hope it will arrive there on time, and that no conflict has begun at our homes already."

Blizzard replied, "Sure, I mean I live in Ponyville and see Rarity almost everyday. I just haven't found enough courage to talk to her." Blizzard said as he ate some of his fish, "I mean she's so beautiful and famous. Why would somepony like her wanna talk to somepony like me?  " Blizzard said as he ate more of his food.

caliber looked at him. then he smacked him. "dude, you're good enough to fight alongside me. im sure it'll work out." caliber continued his meal. "i mean, sure she's saved equestria along with the others, but...our team coulda done those things, too!" caliber grinned. "oh, and i forgot to mention this...you got the bill?" he asked sheepishly.

Blizzard appreciated his friend's encouragement, "Hehe. Thanks bro. I needed that.  Yeah you're right, I'm pretty sure I'm good enough for somepony like Rarity.  And uh, yeah let's go to Ponyville when this is over and you can introduce me." He heard what Caliber said about the bill for the food, "Oh yeah, that necklace wasn't the only thing I manged to get from the pirates.   " He said as he took a small gem from his ice saddlebag, "This looks like an emerald fragment it's not much on the jewelry scale but it'll just be enough to cover this." He said as he placed the fragment on the table. As he and Caliber were walking back to the outpost, Blizzard asked, "Hey bro, do you have any crushes? I mean if you don't wanna tell me then that's ok, but I want you to know, as your best friend, I'd promise to keep any love interest you have a secret, as I'd hope you do the same with mine.  So do you know anypony that makes your heart race?"

caliber spun at that question. "well...ya know...i do have a love interest...and...stuff...and...and...i gotta crush on violet. i know you've never met her, and all...but shes just dreamy."  "and." caliber looked into ice blizzards very soul. his dark magic flared. "if i ever catch wind that you let this tidbit of information slip, i will personally make sure you never fight again."

Blizzard replied with this face  "Don't worry, I won't but don't dare tell anypony that I love Rarity.  :okiedokielokie: " Blizzard then asked, "So tell me about this Violet. What is she like? Is she shy, outgoing, abrasive, tomboyish? What's her personality? Why do you like her?" He asked.

caliber tilted his head.   "well, shes a good friend. and i mean, a good friend. best friend, really. shes...i guess you can say shes tomboyish, but at the same time, feminine. like, shes practicing martial arts one minute, and the next shes reading some romance novel. you know, girl stuff. shes also not afraid to fight." caliber grinned. "you know, 75 wins." they kept walking. "shes saved my life, before, too."

Blizzard replied, "Hmm, seems like you two are pretty close. And 75 wins?!   Either you're terrible or she's awesome. And I know you're not terrible, so this must be one tough cookie.   I'd never wanna face somepony who can beat you 75 times. Uh-uh nope never. But I'd still like to meet her, she seems nice and like the perfect match for somepony of your caliber. *snickers*  "

caliber looked at the direction the of the bad pun. "oh, ha-ha. very funny, ya know, how you used my name?" (sarcastically) "so, yeah. shes got 75 wins on me. but thats cause i dont really use my dark magic on her. but thats still a crowning achievement." caliber's voice dropped. "but...i still dont know if i could beat her even if i use my magic. she wears these leg-weights, see? they weigh twenty-five pounds each. AND she fights with them on! that way, if she ever needs to get stronger, she can just drop a hundred pounds."

Blizzard was shocked and sorta not, "Well that's not too surprising considering what we've been handling. But she does sound like a tough opponent. But I bet you'll eventually get after her.     With the way you are I'm surprised mares don't line themselves up for ya!  But if you're really in love with this girl, get her something she likes. *takes out necklace again* I know my Rarilove loves jewelry, so I plan on giving this to her.  " He then facehoofs, "Did I just say Rarilove out loud?  Dear Celestia that sounds stupid. "

"hm? oh, im actually really popular with the mares, its just you're cramping up my style. " caliber said with this expression:  "where'd i get these shades?" he threw off the shades that had materialized on his face. "i think iv been hanging around pinkie pie too much. im starting to break physics." he listened to ice blizzards explanation. "what would i get her?! she has everything she wants, which is leg weights, and her skills." caliber smirked, and added: "and im gonna pretend i didnt hear 'rarilove'."

Blizzard replied, "Come on bro, it counts as long as it's from the heart." He said putting his hoof to his chest, "Girls appreciate anything a guy does for her, even if it's something little. Trust me, my mom taught me everything I know about how to get a girl, and she'd always say that a surefire way to get a girl to like you is to get her something she likes. That way she'll know you care about her.   I know it's sappy, but try it on Violet man. And if you got no confidence yet, wrap the gift and send it to her anonymously, and tell her it was you later on. That way you'll feel good inside AND she'll feel your kindness.   "

caliber looked at him. -_- "this from the guy who cant talk to rarity? that, and and she knows i care about her."  he grinned. "and i think she might like me back...though i may have miss-read that..." 

 

FLASHBACK

 

caliber laid in the side of the rock, hurting. "owowowowowow..." violet flew down, and looked at him. "wanna try again, tough guy?"

 

FLASHBACK END

 

"yeah. i dont know..."

Blizzard was getting tired, but didn't wanna sleep,  "Well let me know if you ever do decide to let her know your true feelings. In the meantime I've gotta work on how I'm gonna go about giving this necklace to Rarity." As they walked they came back to the outpost, "Thanks for helping me feel better about my crush. I don't think I would've lasted much longer if I didn't tell somepony. I hope you feel better about yours! Are you going to sleep soon? Or are you planning on staying up?"

"i already told ya, i was hoping to get some training in. dont worry, you dont have to help!" caliber said, as he turned and went into the forest. looking around, he came across a clearing. "okay..." he un-sheathed his sword, and practiced his attacks. he also brainstormed about new techniques.

Blizzard then said, "Ok well see ya later!" Blizzard made himself an ice tent to sleep in, and looked at one of his magazines, "  Oh Rarity, I can't wait to see the look on your pretty face when I give you this necklace. It's so majestic and beautiful, just like you!" After a bit of magazine reading he put the necklace away in his tent's ice chest and said to himself, "Hmmm, I wonder how the others are doing right now. Hopefully Tyra and Icarus' hometowns are safe. I'm positive that if Tyra's home is full of ponies like her, they'd have no problems! And if Icarus' home has enough doctors, then they'll last as well." Blizzard then goes right outside his tent and sits on a log, gazing into the sky.

As Ticktock was put in his tent he was still rocking back and forth but he was no longer shivering. In his head the events of his 'meeting' with the mare ran through he head. Even as he eventually drifted off to sleep he was still haunted by the events that happened on the ship and a nightmare was nothing to compare with the fear he felt.

Icarus soon finished his letter and looked to tyra. " All finished, your elders will probably be hearing from the Plague Doctors guild and the town elders here shortly" He said, before looking to the sky and levitating the letter. He focused on it, and imagined his home, Stalliongrad. He thought of the sites, the smells, the sounds, and in a sudden whisp of fire, the letter was magically whisked away to the Plague Doctors of Stalliongrad.

"Aye, my thanks," Tyra said, bowing her head in gratitude, "once I am able to send my letter, your people will receive the assistance of mine. We will ensure on our lives that neither Trotstheim or Stalliongrad will fall!"

 

She put a hoof to her heart. "That is my promise as a Shatterhoof."

 

She began glancing around, trying to find somewhere to put her letter.

"I regret that I cannot find somewhere to deliver it, and I doubt the post office in the city will be open right now..."

When Blizzard was done looking into the night sky, he trotted a bit and saw Tyra and Icarus. W=He walked over to them, "Surprise!    How are your letters coming along guys? Were you able to send them off yet? I'm sure if your respective towns are full of ponies like you two, they'll be fine."

"Perhaps I could also sent it to the Plague Doctors, and they could have one of our falcons take it to your tribe ? We arent all unicorns, so some of the ones in Stalliongrad have messenger animals. They would be more than happy to do it, I will just attach a small thing telling them were to send it" Icarus said. He trusted that his colleagues would get the letter were it needed to go.
