Tyra felt herself get yanked off the rock, and the world spun around her still as she remained dazed by the unconscious Ticktock.

 

"Oof," She grunted, shaking the cobwebs out of her head, and blinking to steady her vision, "My thanks, friend."

 

She saw that he had been driven unconscious, and took it upon herself to carry him on her back and continue the search for the exit on her own.

As Tyra, with her friend on her back, jumped onto another rock, she felt something cold and metallic against her hoof. Were she to look down, she could see a tiny, silver, fancily adorned key, glimmering in the darkness.It had a string looped to it, so it could be hung around her neck as a necklace.

"Ah!" Tyra grinned widely, grabbing the end of the key with her teeth and swinging the string over her neck, "Most perfect! Now we simply need to find the door!"

 

She grinned to Ticktock, remembering he was unconscious.

"And I must cease this talking to myself," she admitted.

 

She began another hopping trek across the rocks, to find the door this key belonged to.

Once again, a rock she stepped on-- larger than most of the other rocks-- shook as a trap was activated, but no button was pressed. There was a soft, growling noise. And the rock she stood on literally uncurled. She was standing on the back of what seemed to be a giant armadillo, that had been sleeping a moment before. It's head turned 180 degrees to face Tyra and Ticktock. Black eyes blinked once at her. It made a rather adorable, confused noise.

Then its eyes began glowing red. It opened its mouth-- it seemed to be charging a red ball of magic energy in its mouth.

Tyra yelped as the rock beneath her seemed to come to life, and become a rather large armadillo, which looked back at her with large black eyes.

"Hello there, friend," she tried, grinning at the creature, which quickly faded as it began charging a magic attack, "Oh no."

 

With Ticktock on her back, she had no access to her axe. Instead, she hopped from rock to rock as fast as possible, hoping to outrun the attack and the beast itself.

The armadillo launched a beam of energy. The rock Tyra stood on was obliterated, though it missed her barely. This left her in empty space. The armadillo flew towards her and attempted to grab her with one slow arm. It flew quickly, but the rest of its movements were very slow.

Tyra just barely avoided the armadillo's next attack, managing to barely keep Ticktock on her back.

If she wanted rid of this creature, she'd need her axe, but her unconscious ally was strewn on top of it.

 

Only one thing she could think of to do.

 

She hopped back to the larger rock where the entrance was situated, and gently lowered him there to pick him up later.

"I shall be back, friend," she promised, before grabbing her axe off her back and facing the armadillo, "Come forth, you armoured beast!"

 

She leapt up toward it, head to the side so she could swing at it.

The armadillo was hit in the side of the head by the axe. It didn't do much because its head was so thick, but it roared in pain anyway. It began sobbing profusely, eyes turning black again, and quickly curled up again, which allowed Tyra to land back on its armored shell.

Ticktock woke up with a start and in pain "Ahhh did you guys let me get drunk again" Said a drowsy Ticktock forgetting where he was. He hadn't even realised the armadillo. Since he had used so much magic it had had a really bad effect on him it was like he was really drunk except he was not so violent and compared to a hangover had a much worse headache.

Tyra landed on the armadillo's hard shell as it curled up in pain.

Feeling regret, she sheathed her axe and gently petted the shell.

 

"I apologise, my friend," she said softly, "I hope you may find your own way out of here soon."

 

She noticed Ticktock had regained consciousness and hopped over to him.

"Oh, you missed it," She grinned, feeling proud and excited, "A giant armadillo, the size of a longboat, attacked us! The poor thing seems to be in pain though. I hope I did not hurt it too badly when it attacked."

Ticktock stood up and stumbled a bit before saying "Ha armadillo that's a funny word what is it and armoured pillow?" Ticktock's mind then starts playing tricks on him causing him to hallucinate "Hey wait giant floating cake I cant catch up!" Ticktock then starts doing Pinkie style jumps from rock to rock.

Tyra overheard Ticktock's rambling, and began to get legitimately concerned for his wellbeing. This place was not boding well for him.

They would need to find the exit, and quickly.

 

But, as long as he was able to move, that was all she needed.

Still, a shame about that armadillo. It reminded her much of her pet ice wolf back at home. Not as big as that armadillo, but still a large creature.

As Ticktock bounced from rock to rock, he trod on another button. After a strange noise, a trap was activated and the surface of the rock sprung up suddenly, making Ticktock bounce very high into the air. Were he to fall uncontrolled onto one of the rocks, several of his bones would break, perhaps even kill him.

 

As Tyra moved to another rock, she tread on another key-- this time a faded green color, again with a string conveniently looped around it.

Ticktock in his dazed form was unaware of the danger until he started falling to the ground which made him snap as the Atherblade exent came rushing back to him to which he could only say "Bubblessssssss!" As he hurtled to the ground spinning faster and faster.

Tyra smirked as she trod on another key. "Excellent, now we simply need to find the door!"

She grabbed it in her teeth and flipped the string over her neck, just like before.

 

She perked up as she heard a strange noise, and saw Ticktock was hurdled into the air, making no attempt to steady himself.

Rolling her eyes, she hopped over and leapt into the air, grabbing him and setting him back down on another rock.

 

"Get a hold of yourself!" She yelled.

The rock the two were on abruptly began shaking. It, too, was larger than the rocks they had been on previously. In the center of the rock, a door began emerging until it stood towering above the two ponies. It was eastern compared to the door they had entered from. There were three slots for keys in the door, one keyhole green, one keyhole silver, and one keyhole blue.

As Tyra yelled at Ticktock, Ticktock yelled back "I HAVE!" he then took a deep breath and continued "I might have gone a bit crazy there the problem was that I used insane amounts of magic at once I was already practically drained from the first room but that really took it out of me.

 

As the door towered over them Ticktock saw Tyra had the two of the three keys "well we have one more to go if I stay here then you go find the last key that way you can find the door again."!"

"Well, that is good," Tyra sighed with relief, "I had feared the trials had taken their toll on your sanity."

 

She hopped back onto her hooves and nodded at his proposal. "Aye, I shall go on ahead and you can regain your strength!"

 

With that, she began hopping on the rocks again, to find the final key.

Tyra found the key very quickly without springing any more traps, on one of the first rocks she jumped on. It was a faded blue color, the same color as the keyhole, with the same string looped through it that the other keys had had. The team could now proceed into the next room with all three keys in Tyra's possession.

"Ah, that was easy!" Tyra grinned widely, grabbing the key and putting it around her neck, "Refreshing!"

 

She grinned over to Ticktock and waved. "I have found the last key!" She announced, hopping to the door and entering the blue key into the slot.

 

It seemed to fit!

Ticktock grinned "Excellent that was easy." Ticktock then changed subjects "So what was that you were saying about a giant armadillo?" Ticktock was focused on trying to avoid the subject of Dark that he said he would tell Tyra about  it wasn't that he didn't trust her he just was worried about how she would take it.

"Oh aye," Tyra nodded, grinning widely, "A giant armadillo attacked me while you were unconscious! It was this big!" She spread her forelegs to emphasise the size of the creature.

 

"I attacked it, but then it retreated again," She continued, then glanced toward the creature's general direction, "I hope I did not hurt it too badly, it did not seem to be in control."

Ticktock frowned "Poor thing it is just as much a prisoner  here as Luna. Tyra we need to remember that when we defeat Scarlett to come back and save this poor creature," Ticktock was relived that Tyra had seemed to forget about the whole Dark thing he even though he knew it would come up eventually.

And as the lest key was found on three rock on three side of room-south,west and east-appered three key locks each.And they needed to use all three keys on one rock so dore would unlocked and they could move to next room.And with litle lucky maybi next room was the one Luna was in....

Tyra glanced around, spotting the three doors. Each door had a rock next to it, all sporting three keyholes matching the colours of the keys around her neck.

 

She looked around at the doors, then to Ticktock.

"Which door do you suppose we take?" She asked.
